So I've had this idea bouncing around for a while to run a adventure where the players are sentent magic items that each dominant their weilders to adventure themselves. The players would be able to get a new weilders if the old one died and they'd be able to trick people they are fighting into weilding them so they could possess new and exciting creatures.
The thing is this feels like fairly untested ground so i dont know any of the pit falls or dangers and I was wondering if anyone had done this before or had ideas and suggestions.

If anyone was wondering about the system I'd planned on using a rules lite D&D hack like "The Black Hack."
Just so the rules have the feel of D&D, which my players are used to, but I don't have to get too bogged down in complex rules for magic item creation or anything like that.

Not a stretch goal. Everything on the table, revealed or not, will be in the chest. The gamble is just that you don't know what's in it yet.

There aren't any, really. We blew the lid off this campaign so hard, we unlocked everything and more in the first day. So instead of posting 40 days worth of content at once, he is staggering the reveals. Everything is already unlocked though.

No. read the shipping section on the kickstarter page. The game ships in 2017. 2020 is a worst case scenario for some of the very very early in production items, not the game itself.

So /tg/ let's have a gaming table thread.

My group recently acquired a dedicated room for our gaming in the basement of one of our houses. It looks *really* nice, my friend did some great work on it. Bookshelf right behind the table for all of our books, we can close the door and have some peace and quiet from the other inhabitants. Nice and cozy.

Only issue is the table, which is nice but too small. Apparently it's 34 x 60 inches or something like that. But honestly I think we are going to need a 4x6 or even 4x8 table. Not sure how to approach this. Maybe a folding table? We just want room for our mat, minis, and char sheets, as well as the up to 7 people we have at one time (though often it is less). The room can fit that many, but the table is too small. Any ideas? Also post more pretty game tables.

where does one acquire such a flag?

You know Games Workshop isn't something totally original. It is a combination multiple fantasy and Sci-fi archetypes. There isn't any reason why someone can't make something exactly like it.

All the other Fantasy and Sci-fi games try to be different. But they should really try to be as similar and compatible as they can be to GW. That would really destroy GW and get tabletop moving in the right direction again.

It wouldn't have to be anything epic either. You could start with Fantasy/Sci-fi games and miniatures built on the very small skirmish games that could augment current GW miniature lines or fill holes in GW's line.

Hell you could even stay ahead of the game by releasing new products that are similar to whatever Hollywood was coming out with at the moment. WHY THE FUCK GW DIDN'T RELEASE ELDAR EXODITES WHEN AVATAR CAME OUT I WILL NEVER KNOW? It would have been eazy money in the bank boys.

What is really to stop someone from doing a galaxy wide Sci-Fi setting with a date attached to it?

Space Orcs, Star Fey, Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Space Goblins, Void Pirates, Robo-Necromancers, Shadow Jesters, Mech-Knights.

Because Games Workshop hates money. That pretty much the only explanation I can come up with at this point. Think about Warhammer Fantasy. This is apparently how the conversation at GW headquarters went:

How do you feel about elements of science fiction in D&D or other fantasy games?

I'm thinking about running a campaign like this and I'm curious to hear what you guys think.

Are there any settings that do this well?

For the record I'm not talking about something silly like Spelljammer but rather something along the lines of Final Fantasy X where technology existed once but people are now fearful of it.

As long as the elements don't break each others narrative, thematic, and logical rules I'm for going as far out with ideas as possible. What I'm not for is when people just shove whatever sounds coolest together just for the sake of having it in there.

In my setting their thing is that if all the races were laid out on a circle then humans would be in the center. What i mean by this is they are just close enough to everyone for everyone to like them. Elves like them, because they are like elves, but a bit more rugged. Dwarves like them cause they are like dwarves, but a bit taller. Orcs like them cause they are like orcs, but a bit prettier. Whereas Elves do not like dwarves, because they are short and fat, and do not like orcs because they are ugly. Dwarves do not like elves because they are all spindly and weak, and do not like orcs because they are ugly and stupid. Orcs do not like Dwarves, because they are so damn short, and do not like elves because they are two thin and spindly. Humans are a nice middle ground that are just different enough to be interesting, but similar enough that you don't find them repulsive.

/tg/ please, I need your help. A tribe of short, smug witches has taken over my PC's family castle and refuse to leave. They are rude and flatchested and therefore useless to him.

I already tried bodily carrying them outside, they just whined about it and used Misty Step to get back in. The second time they locked the doors when it happened and jeered at me from the battlements until I rolled well enough to climb the walls.

Our party's mage is a witch too, but they just stole her glasses, made her cry, and drew pictures of her as a cross-eyed, bucktoothed fatty on the walls with red paint.

They threw pumpkins at our Cleric and Paladin.

I'm at my wit's end, they're spending our party treasury on expensive tea and party cakes and we can't afford to sustain their lifestyle, what should I do? This castle has been in my PC's family for hundreds of years, I can't just give it up.
