I don't understand the question.

Like how have they changed the setting.
Reposting from last thread: can you use a sympathy yantra on a spell you cast on yourself? Can you just pull out a booger, and get two dice from it?

How do you play a capital-G Good necromancer?
>requirement: he animated the dead
>hard mode: he is a cleric who uses Animate Dead and is not from a death deity.
Animating the dead to fight for you does not make you evil.
Aragorn did it, and Aragorn is LG.
>>50541639
>>50541639
Check out the Dunmer in Morrowind. Necromancy is a big part of their thing and they usually leave some zombies and ghosts to keep their family tombs safe.
The first story I ever wrote was about short lived elves living in the desert because after thousands of years the forests had vanished as the climate changed because reasons. The desert was plagued with crazy necromancers, ghosts, bandits, other tribes, and all kinds of weird creatures. Reanimating the dead to help defend the tribe was a necessity, and the priests who did it were highly regarded.
You´re probably thinking about your typical European fantasy setting, which has plenty of Christian undertones and the dead are supposed to stay dead.
It´s all about the surrounding culture.
1) Play in a system/setting where necromancy is not automatically Capital-E Evil as it does not require filling corpses with raw elemental Evil to animate them.
2) Put the undead towards Good ends.
Congrats you'reno longer playing D&D; you're welcome.

Ronin's not doing the Dreameaters?
>>50487001
He intends to keep working on them, but at the same time, we're not going to wait for him and he knew it when he started. If he brings forth a solid product we might integrate it, but we aren't going to wait for him to finish. 2 years for Uriel was enough.
So, we all know kobolds love to serve dragons, ever since 3rd edition at least, which has become as defining for them in D&D circles as their being small, weak, clever and good with traps. But what about other reptilian monsters? Could you believably see kobold tribes deciding other reptilian creatures are "good enough" and trying to emulate or revere them the way they normally do dragons?
For example, could you see a jungle-dwelling clan of kobolds who have come to revere coatls, perhaps as some sort of fertility and light god? Pic related.
Also, general kobold thread; it's been a while since we've had one.
Playing a kobold bard in a monster adventure today. Any suggestions?
>>50451930
First thing to pop into mind is a herald figure for a more powerful master, somebody whose training is all about boasting of what his/her great and mighty superior is capable of doing, or bolstering the ego of another party member.
What edition you playing? That'd help give better suggestions - a kobold jester (5e's College of Satire) is a great match-up in terms of fluff.
I fluff my kobolds are the result of draconic presence and affliction on metal ores.
Story Time, /tg/!

Short answer is, I like the cool things paizo's done things in the past with some of their classes, and I wanna try and make some cool shit like that.
>>50572792
it already exists and its called the fucking Magus you goddamn faggot
'WHAA I WANT HEAVY ARMOR RIGHT OUT THE GATE WHY DOESN'T THE GAME SPOONFEED ME'
kys.
Is Spheres of Power the best magic system out there?
Psionics is too video-gamey
Vancian is broken inside and out
Akashic is a lot of book-keeping
Kineticist talents are limited but cool
Pact Magic was neat but the second Augunas touched it... y'know. /Stuff happened/.
Truenaming a shit
Prove me wrong somehow, but Spheres of Power is so much better than all of them.
>Federation has Section 31, which no one is sure exists
>Romulans have Tal Shiar, which double as secret police
>Cardassians have Obsidian Order, which does spying as well as more powerful governments
>Klingon Intelligence is mentioned only in passing a single time, and only in regards to the completely fucked up Tribble situation
Why do Klingons have the worst spies in the quadrant?
>>50571911
You mean the best because good spy networks are never found out
>Nobody knows about or thinks about them
>"Worst spies"
I don't think you know what spies do, anon
>>50571911
Because Klingons are an entire spacefaring civilization of jobbers. They don't so much as win conflicts as fail to job as hard as the opposing side.
I'm looking for a decent system to play WW2 with a group of friends. So far, I know that D20 Past and Weird War 2 exist, but I'm looking to see if there are any more options I haven't seen yet or anything I haven't considered yet.
I know that D20 Modern/Past carries several of the same problems 3.5 has, and Weird War 2 has all of the problems from Savage Worlds, but I'm looking to see what fa/tg/uys think.
>inb4 GURPS
>>50571867
Achtung Cthulhu + Call of Cthulhu 7th.
That is, if you're looking for Weird War 2 stuff specifically. If not, Twilight 2000 with some tweaks would do the job.
>>50571933
sounds good, i'll check those out
Ops and Tactics oughta do ya
How do we fix it?
>>50571144
Is it broken? I liked the 6 or so games I played last Christmas.
>>50571144
It's only broken if you play with casuals.>tfw have a family who up and quits all at once when I try to get them to play a boardgame
>>50571144
There's a card game version of this. Anyone know if it's any good?
I'm thinking of getting into miniature wargaming, what would you recommend? Additionally, are there any wargames that support more than 2 players simultaneously?
>>50570714
I don't recommend 40k, but if you're into that I suggest Kill Team. Age of Sigmar, for all its faults, might actually be an okay first foray if you can afford it. X-Wing or Imperial Assault are very big right now, so it's a fair bet you can get a game of those damn near anywhere.
If not, there's always Guildball, Malifaux, Infinity, and a dozen other games, but there needs to be a player base set up for them if you actually want to play with someone. Be sure to check out the local scene and see what's being played or if you can drum up interest there or with friends. Overall, players should be priority unless you just want to be painting and sculpting all the time.
>>50570714
Age of Sigmar's pretty fun easy to pick up, but it's quite controversy laden since people still can't get over that WHFB died to make it
>>50570714
40k has all above, play games with nice people and you'll learn quickly.
This is how i perceive anon to be by the year 40,000
>>50570632
Would going to a vietnamese image talker board be heretic in the 40k universe?
Not fat enuf.
>>50571603
You'd guess one of those several cables would be sucking out fat 24/7, so they aren't fat anymore.
