Good taste anon. He's much better in multiplayer, particularly Mazirek if you set things up nicely.
I personally run him very effectively in Lazav. Combine him with things that tap down your opponent's creatures, or "frost" effects, and people will learn to hate that fuck. Desecration Demon isn't bad, but people very quickly realize that, if you don't sacrifice anything, he's much less threatening.

Hi there, I've recently come into ownership of a Pewter/Lead figurine, and I was wondering what sort paints I'll need to color him. Will Oil-based do, the kind used in plastic models, or acrylic? I'm asking it here because the Hunchback is from Battletech, a BoardGame.

Oil paint is a very bad idea, since it'll stay wet for far too long. Craft and art acrylics will work, but you'll probably have problems with thinning them and the paint looking gritty.
Vallejo paints are very nice, and the dropper bottles let you measure out consistent amounts if you're mixing colors. You'll need to prime the model first, and I'd suggest black primer for you to start with, because cracks and recessed details will be automatically shadowed. Check out the WIP thread for more advice!

Acshually, oil paint thinned with mineral spirits makes an excellent wash if you use it on top of a gloss clear coat. You can just wipe up anything on the high spots after it dries up a bit, then matte coat and you're on to basing.

Fix what, it's basically all it needs to be. All they're missing is a way to take platoons in the codex, and possibly a 3-wound 2-order senior officer option for the command squad. Both of which were strange oversights.
The platoons especially, since they're referenced in some of the rules text.

Again, advertising my own system shamelessly. It's usually pretty lighthearted, with emphasis on an ironic touch, down to the game mechanics.
Ignore the Magical girls -section in the end (Unless you plan on playing magical girls, of course). Homebrewing powers for any setting is pretty easy (and I can do that for you if I'm given some setting details).
I can also explain anything that needs to be clarified from the system.
Of course, you can also use RISUS, the usual suspect for light-hearted shenanigans, although it is much more geared towards oneshots than campaigns.
