Would the ability to process and react to visual information faster than the average human ruin that person's ability to enjoy movies and tv shows?
>>50921933
Heightened perception doesn't have to mean a stunted attention span.
>>50921933
It'd probably mean you'd get over the thinking process faster than other people in a cinema, so everyone else laughs or emotes a bit too late and a bit too long for your liking.
>>50921965
>>50921996
What i mean is, wouldn't the Illusion of motion caused by rapidly changing images not work on you anymore?
Every movie would look like a slideshow.

This week's Monday Meeting Notes:
http://theonyxpath.com/looking-back-the-onyx-path-2016-monday-meeting-notes/
>Question
How often does combat occur in your games?
Someone mentioned Scion last thread, and that made me actually look at the books I've had sitting on my hard drive for a year or so.
So is Scion any good? It's got some interesting concepts, but is it clunky as shit?
>>50921545
>How often does combat occur in your games?
In the last two sessions, there were two instances of "combat".
1. The Obrimos getting the drop on a Huntsman and killing him with one punch
2. The Obrimos deciding to completely dislocate someone's arm when he was escorting her off his property
However that was more of a historical game.
I'm moving it to the modern day however due to player issues with coming to terms with the setting.
So now there will be people with guns, and the desire to use them.
So I'm expecting a sharp uptick in the amount of violence, either from the PCs, or by NPCs in response to PC bullshit.
>>50921623
Scion 1e is terribad, mechanically, and the setting basically doesn't exist beyond its basic premise.
Scion 2e is shaping up to be a more solid game, but since it has an actual setting it's going to push folks who had imagined a different setting over 1e's threadbare outline away.
Differences between male and female wizards.

Not much once they figure out how to transmute themselves.
The pockets in a she-wizard's robes are just there for show.

>>If a skaven was raised in a modern household, how much less of an asshole would it be compared to if it was raised in a regular skaven shithole tunnel complex?- 0 post shown.
A lot less of an asshole, but still so much of an asshole that almost anyone but someone with the patience of a saint would kick them out.
Also, it would probably try to fuck a dog at some point
>>50918321
>Skaven
>Ever willfully being near a dog
What would be the psychological stress to fight demons, eldritch abominations
and the like?
Pretty severe. Depending on the setting it can be utterly terrifying(Berserk, for instance), or so spiritually jarring that you yourself will be corrupted unless you have enough willpower to actively resist it the entire time(Warhammer 40k). Or you might survive it but go insane because your human mind had to wrap itself around something beyond human understanding in order to defeat it(Lovecraft).
>>50915889
That depends really. Do they have some form of mind fuckery abilities? Because unless they can influence your mind directly i don't think it would actually be that bad, at least not any more than fighting anything else. It might actually be less of a strain mentally since they are clearly evil and you don't have to worry about guilt at all.

The bjs, man.
Are the implications correct in your experience?
You can draw any conclusion you like from that picture, it's almost literally reading a book by its cover.
5e and PF are both shit anyway.
>>50910451
No.
Faggotry players always play the same fur bait magical realm characters
Or I get the pseudo intellectual characters.
They are always former military.
>Oh I was a lieutenant in my squad.
Motherfucker you are level 1 that would be the shittiest military if someone that weak achieved anything more than bitch class private.
Then I have the
>pathfinder is too easy to min max or its too complex
>5e is so much easier because I Gm fiat everything anyway because the mechanics are basically the same and I just describe everything as fluff anyway
TL/DR your a fag and it's always the players not the systems default that you have shifty players.
>>50910451
Yes.
Leave it to the Furry Community to envelope and swallow entire player bases by forcing their fetish on everyone.
lets have a "This Dude" thread. Instead of That Guy being an asshole who ruins the game, This Dude is not only the perfect fit but goes above and beyond too make it awesome
>>50903938
>this dude was a 12 year old kid who everyone was concerned about joining
>was dropped off and came to the table with a couple bottles of sparkling cider and a ton of food
>at first he was kinda shit, but became a quick learner and every week brought sparkling cider
>probably one of the chillest kids and players in general I have played with.
>>50903938
People usually forget about the good stuff. The bad stuff just stays with em..
>>50904088
yeah exactly, so but there are some times those players who are so awesome you just wont forget.

First for Jason Soles.
MADE NEW THREAD BECAUSE OLD ONE WAS AUTOSAGING OFF THE BOARD AND I WANTED A QUESTION OR 3 ANSWERED.
I know of the light Cryx jacks like the deathripper, canker worm, and similar.
are there any other good-looking jacks in that size-range?
what are your opinions on the sexiest jacks in the game in light or heavy?
any light or heavy Jacks that look like good WEAPONS, but not actually EVIL?
what about EVIL LOOKING ONES?(aside from cryx, I know about those, mostly)
are there any stat-blocks for the war-jacks in D&D(any edition) and if so, where are they?

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I AM ASKING.
I'm running an RPG(D&D 3.5e, shut up I'll upgrade after this one) campaign soonish and there may or may not be a construct manufacturer who goes crazy and builds or starts to build an army.
WarJacks are usually designed to be quite attractive visually, and I want a few pretty pictures to show the party or use to describe the constructs.
warjacks are also very diverse in armament and function
if the party lets any one of a couple specific BBEGs escape they'll look like Cryx 'Jacks.
but if the party is thorough and/or careful they'll have a different look.
can you help me guys?
>>50894670
I'm not sure I understand your specifications. Can you explain better what you are looking for?
Turns out the Elder Things are real and have awoken their city-fortress in Antarctica. Let's also say they are surprised to find modern humans, but are peacefully asking to be recognized by the international community and to have Antarctica recognized as theirs.
How do the nations of Earth respond?
>>50890595
>Turns out the Elder Things are real and have awoken their city-fortress in Antarctica
The Elder Things are dead though, even in the context of their story.

Learn to have fun.
I'm looking to help get the creative juices flowing for the people in my Werewolf the Forsaken group. Could we have a monster/contemporary city pictures dump?
Tau gue'vesa ama
>>50943811
what's the Tau equivelant of a fedora?
>>50943825
Ehh... Neckbeards aren't really a thing, as everybody has to do something for the greater good.
What do Tau think of the Sanguinala festivities?
Hey folks. I am considering getting SR 5th edition for the streamlined play, but I think a lot of the fluff since the end of 3rd is lame, and a lot of the stuff leading up to the end of 3rd was cool (Chicago, organized crime wars, Denver: City of Shadows, Arcology run by a rogue AI).
Are the 5th edition rules suitable for running a game in a 'past time' by including older cyberware, wired decks, etc. or do they force you to embrace the new stuff by excluding the old?
Also, are 3rd edition and 5th edition stats mutually intelligible? I've got basically every 3rd ed. book there is, and it'd be nice to be able to convert material from them into 5th ed. equivalents.
>>50943542
Shadowrun 2050 is a 4e book for doing runs in that timeframe, and 4e and 5e are compatible.
>Also, are 3rd edition and 5th edition stats mutually intelligible?
No, the mechanics got a huge overhaul between 3rd and 4th. You basically have to go down to zero and rebuild.
>>50943640
Go fuck yourself. You already got an answer that bumped the thread, and you don't bump shit 10 minutes after OP dumbshit.
>>50943625
Thanks, mate.
How would you create a studio ghibli-like atmosphere/feel in your game or world /tg/?
>>50943475
By playing Golden Sky Stories.
>>50943475
Try Ryuutama.
>>50943475
Just run Pathfinder out of the box. Only that could acceptably emulate the feeling of low expectations followed by even more disappointment.
