Why does he have to be good at everything? I think you take this game too seriously, so it must be really fun.

Hey folks. Status report on the Kamen Rider Amazons jump.
I'm still doing it, but I've realized that I don't have enough canon material for it to feel substantial.
So I've decided to wait for season 2. Even if I did put out something now I'd have to update it for season 2 anyway.

In which ways can players contribute to worldbuilding during play? Are plot/fate/awesome points or other mechanics actually useful?
Where can I find a DM that let me contribute to world build? I freaking want to build a stronghold. Forge Cleric was perfect for that... but my DM won't let me.

I can't wait to play a kitsune assassin and seduce my targets before poisoning their post coital drinks.
Tell me /tg/, is it classy for a PC to drink tea?
>>50977543
Depends on the kind of tea.
If you take sugar, you can take your shit and get the fuck out of my game.
>>50977543
Not always.
However its always class for a PC to drink brandy.

I'm interested in hard science fiction settings. I've had my fill of space operas and fantasy. I'd like to find a setting which takes scientifically credible projections of the future and deals with them in interesting ways. Can /tg/ recommend anything along those lines?
>>50976596
Read Seveneves
>>50976596
Gagarin did not actually say that, the phrase was attributed to him by soviet propaganda because it suited their agenda.
>>50976788
Gagarin didn't ask for game recommendations? Good to know.
What material is ceramite comparable with? What would ceramite plated armor feel like to wear? From what i've read it isn't like glass or clay, as it isn't nearly as brittle. Metal is too heavy and doesn't chip the same way ceramite does in the art. For a material that's such common use in 40k there is surprisingly little information on the stuff.
>>50975894
I was always under the impression it was a ceramic (hence the name) possibly infused or bonded with metal somehow. The weird part is there are multiple images of marines with unpainted ceramite armour in different colors (Death Guard and one unknown blackshield in the HH books). This leads me to again think it's ceramic with different colours based on where it was made and what minerals/tint/etc was in it.
They also say low-grade Ceramite is used to make IG armour and High-grade is used for Power Armour. So it could be similar to the way we use carbon to strengthen Iron into Steel.
>>50975894
maybe something similar to AR500 armor but thicker. I never understood how people could think that a SM fill out the armor in its entirety. there would have to be some internal skeleton similar to what is seen in fallout, maybe not as bulky though? But overall it would be similar to maybe some metal infused ceramic.
> After you deal with yet another local crisis, the king himself summons you to his court.
> He explains that he's very impressed by your work and wants to reward you for your heroism.
> At the same time he's wary of powerful individuals, who answer to absolutely no one, doing whatever they want in his kingdom.
> He seems to be particularily upset about you killing archduke von Murderstein lately.
> While the king agrees that the archduke was a dick and likely a threat to the kingdom, you could have at least tried to consult with authorities before dispensing vigilante justice and killing an important noble.
> So the king offers you a compromise.
> Your party gets official titles and a permission to continue doing what you do, along with a wage and recognition at court.
> However, from now on you will be followed by a royal investigator, who'll make sure that you're operating within king's justice and not doing anything stupid or treasonous.
> Also, naturally, you will have to answer to the king himself and follow his orders.
What do, /tg/?
Depends. Does the king have the adventurer levels to personally stop me? How about adventurers married into the family who can reasonably stop me?
>>50977180
Not op, but safely assume any king has means to stop you forcibly.
Personally? I would reject the kings offer and continue my exploits in secret by donning disguises while operating in public areas. Masked hero campaign is anot engaging hook.
>>50975665
>What do, /tg/?
Probably roll with it. Now I'm getting paid to kill off evil fucking nobles and scheming viziers and shit. We're the King's personal hit squad now. I'm down for that.
Elder Scrolls-related question, /tg/.
Why do the Falmer in Blackreach have 'servants', how do they manage to break and train beings more powerful or civilised than themselves without outrightly killing them?
To top that off, what do you think of the idea of Falmer becoming a more prevalent force in the future? Right now they appear to be mostly unheard of in Skyrim, with only a few people really knowing who/what they are, and the ordinary Joe simply referring to them as "small, twisted creatures" on the rare occasions they're encountered.

Are there any pros to using 20th Anniversary over 5e?
If so, which?
It's just preference at this point. For a while, 4th/20th anniversary had way more material, but 5th has mostly caught up now.
No Limits, which are a stupid fucking mechanic. I understand the design role they occupy, but it's an awful implementation created by people with no understanding of fun.
>>50975443
Is there a way to reconcile 4e's optional use of mental status for hacking, with still needing programs, without making them limits?
While also still making Technica certain threading useful?
It's quite specific problem, but one that's been tormenting me and stopping me from running another 4e game.
I stumbled upon the old 4chan unified setting stuff on 1d4chan while looking for a new campaign setting.
Does anyone still have old information/archive links for the original posts?
Other than that it'd be neat to hear about people who actually used the mockup unified setting
>>50974970
That generation of 4chan is dead.
>>50976301
>>50974970
It was, but this particular project could be revived. I'm the OP of the Friendly Virtual Gaming thread that occasionally pops up, and we try and pull off projects like this. Fading Embers and Love and Krieg 2.0 are some of our more recent projects. I'll post a thread tomorrow, if you bring it up there it could have potential. We'd need a project leader though.
>>50974970
Honestly, there's some neat ideas there but it's also not really easy to just pick up and play. It could be tinkered with to make the setting better. Also it would be nice to have it built in a game that isn't D&D.
Hey teegee, how was the last session you played in 2016?
pic unrelated
the last session I played was not in 2016
Relaxed, very slightly comedic.
Unexpected guest turned up, wanted to be in the game. The plot was a basic dungeon crawl with no side characters, and I didn't want to spend another hour making a new character sheet for them.
I felt like I was making the right decision to not let them in, but now I just feel like a terrible DM.
