First for Malifaux
Daemons of the Emperor confirmed 100% canon
Hopefully we get rules leaks soon, just so I can tell if Cawl or Grayfax are worth buying.
If space Nazi's traveled to other planets, what would they do if they met aliens?
gas them
1. Learn all there is to learn about alien species
2. Are they similar to the constant 'outside threat' we have been telling our people about (Jews, Muslims, Furries)? If Y, go to 5. If N, go to 3.
3. Are they at least advanced enough so that an alliance is beneficial? If Y, go to 4. If N, go to 5.
4. Can we stab 'em inna back once they've outlived their usefulness? If Y, go to 6. If N, go to 5 (or 6, depending on available intelligence)
5. Nuke 'em.
6. Praise them as allies. (Backstabbing optional)
>>51073683
Depends on the alien, depends on the space nazis in question.
Seriously, people seem to forget that the Nazis and the Soviet Union were de-facto allies before Operation Barbarossa, and that the Third Reich actually asked the Soviets to formally enter the war as an equal partner in the Axis.
This is on top of the Nazis allying themselves with the Italians (who they considered a lesser race), the Japanese (same) etc.
Fascism =/= the state not following the normal pattern of diplomacy all non-fascist states do. Ideology is effectively meaningless in terms of diplomatic relations between countries - hence the US, devout supporters of Israel, are the most important ally of Saudi Arabia, which criminalizes not being a practicing muslim.
What do you like in a world name?
What triggers you in a world name?
Have you noticed that Scifi world names tend to differ from Fantasy world names?
Do the creatures in your "Earth" call it "Earth" or know that it has a name? Who named it that? Is it different in every language?
What's the name of your world?
(I use the word "world" because some fantasy world-building doesn't even accommodate the idea of a "planet")

Nelfrothdor, my brother mumbled it when he was wasted.
Has anyone played this? Is it any good?
>>51073447
It's unplayable.
>>51073966
How so?

You know how important spell cards are?
Just how gay is your setting?
Please take this discussion to either /pol/ or /lgbt/, as it is nothing more than bait for people who identify themselves as homosexuals to pretend they're somehow normal, because they feel insecure unless parading about their fetish at every available opportunity.
>>51073348
Pretty gay, truth be told.
>>51073348
Same sex sex occurs sometimes.
So a while back we had a thread on here talking about music for games.
One magnamonious elegen/tg/entleman gifted our ears with country music that was about space adventure complete with talking about alien races going to war and shit. Essentially Slough Feg's Traveller album but country instead of metal.
In exchange I shall scrounge my computer for what /tg/ things I have although I have lost many when I upgraded.
Exactly how common are monsters, demons and magical beasts in your setting /tg/? Are they on top predator level where an explorer may see one every few days or so, or is it to the point where walking into the woods is like walking into a giant blender?
were common everywhere and so settlements were limited to nomadic villages
then elves came and killed them all
now big monsters are rare but smaller ones aren't uncommon in less-inhabited areas
I am currently DMing Ravenloft. What do you think?
>>51072552
very rare, most people have never seen one and some people think monsters simply don't exist
Dear everyone,
long time no see, eh ?
I just wanted to express my sincerest apologies for bailing out on you, but who can blame me ? It's not like I don't like you or anything, but going on adventures, meeting new people and //d/i/s///s//e//c/ discovering new creatures is the kind of life I've always longed for.
Needless to say, not having the Counsel on my back anymore is a huge plus. Yay freedom !
Anyways, I've been strolling about and leaving behind me a trail of monstrous corpses and PTSD'd abominations that just HAD to settle in abandoned dungeons and ancient ruins I needed to explore. Turns out I ended up wrecking all kinds of annoying calamities that made life impossible for the people living nearby, so the local count got word of it and decided to thank me by establishing the first wizard tower in the whole kingdom with me at its head.
Problem is, even though I'm quite handy with spells and can certainly find my way around a summoning ritual, I know absolutely nothing about wizard towers. How am I supposed to oversee the construction of one ? I must be paying for all the time I've spent in the library autisting around and not giving much attention to student life, but someone had to copy these books before the bugs crawling down there devoured them !
>>51071595
I'm tempted to accept because, magic users being as rare as a virgin succubus in this land, the king himself may take interest in me and invite me to join his court. And I have no desire to find myself stuck in the middle of never-ending ceremonies, political intrigues and, the Will forbids, virgin succubi.
So here I am, begging for your help. What can you guys tell me about wizard towers ? How should they be organized ? How big ? What equipment and furniture will I need ? Should I bother with an astronomy room ? Not sure if familiars are worth the space and the maintenance.
I don't really know what to ask for besides a library and a lab. And where should the library even be ? In the basement I fear the humid conditions may alter the volumes, though putting it in the upper levels leaves it exposed to an increased risk of conflagration were anything to go wrong in the lab.
Thanks in advance. And don't be shy, it's on the county.
>>51071595
Towers? How archaic! All of the most innovative wizards nowadays have their lairs in underground labyrinths, filled with ancient tomes and crawling with forgotten magical experiments.
>Traditionally kings send mighty heroes on epic quests
At what point does a quest become so pedantic, so meaningless and such a waste of time and resources that you decide to overthrow the monarchy and establish an institution that hands out less shitty quests?
>>51071071
Regular Goblin camp cleansing.
If the army is not able to engage in low level pest removal by itself, the kingdom is ready to be overtaken by the party.
Then will the people decide to give you shitty quests. Think the people will never do that? Have a regular chat with your average citizen and think again. Then watch them argue for hours what kind of quests you should do until everyone agrees on something that nobody really wanted.
>>51071095
If the king moves armies around for goblins, the other countries might be a little nervous.
Some of those goblin camps are close to their borders.
What brand of playing cards do you use?
>>51070758
None of my playing cards are branded, except for one set by Nintendo.

What the fuck? Did you make them yourself?

Bicycle, of course.
News from the front.

My traitorous brothers let us celebrate tonight. Today Cadia, soon Terra, and tomorrow the galaxy itself.

Melniboné goes to war with Naggaroth.
Who wins?
>>51070520
I initially read that as Melbourne goes to war with Naggaroth. I am now incredibly disappointed that this thread isn't about a Fantasy civilizations get bantzed and shitposted to death.
Never read any of Moorcock, is it worthwhile? I am a pretty big GRRM fanboy and I have been told the Elric stories were a big influence on ASOIAF.
>>51070732
they're totally different, but pretty good actually
Was anyone in the wrong here?

You. For posting this thread.

The traveler. The potion seller is entitled to sell potions to whomever he wishes and decline service to whomever he wishes.
Also the potion seller is familiar with his own product and should his opinion should be trusted on their suitability over whatever the traveler thinks.

But he was going into battle.
Have you ever run (or run in to) a masked character?
Have you ever desired (or avoided) an enchanted mask?
a simple cloth band or an elaborate bejeweled disguise
the skinned face of your enemy or a steel face-prison
there's any number of reasons why their face is hidden. Tell us about them!
Obviously they're all cursed
just take the bunny hood and leave
>>51069395
I had a player play a masked wrestler in a Pathfinder game. His name was El Tiberon, fighter for justice. He has the uncanny feat of being able to pull a folding chair out of any flat surface in order to makes his foes submit. He was so infuriating that out wizard would "accidentally" make sure he was within his fireball radii.
It was an odd but fun time.
>>51069395
I'm a big fan of an antagonistic group of NPC's who all wear masks, the most elite of whom have enchanted masks, but they're always secondary, and my players never pay them enough mind to get any of the good masks.

Nice but the grammar mistakes are glaring.
Gonna have to discourage anyone from posting Battlemage for now. I plan on releasing beta build 2 sometime tomorrow.
It'll basically be the final product.
