For someone who's only played D&D and Dark Heresy, how's Pathfinder compare?

Any groups looking for new players?
>>
>>51158399
Most of the big, climactic battles my group's characters go on are either covert missions from whatever kingdom they work for or personal battles with people that aren't exactly widely known, even if they are big threats.

The fact that so few of us play bards also probably has something to do with that...

There are a few games that are very close to closing applications.

https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/65435/rise-of-the-jade-regent
https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/65144/of-dragons-and-yet-more-dragons

If you've played 3.5, Pathfinder is like that with some of the clutter reduced. If 3.5 is your comfy messy room, Pathfinder is when you've got company coming so you shove all your stuff in the closet.

What's your favourite way to make Paladins fall?

I use the ole archfiend -disguised-as-a-beggar trick: either he A). Disregards the hapless beggar on the street for which he is punished for not aiding Good or B). Gives the beggar a coin for which he is punished for willfully aiding evil. Either way his bitch ass is falling

In my campaign setting, magic is wild and unpredictable. I need magic items that aren't really of any benefit and not much better than normal items, but are nice curiosities.

So far I've got pic related, and these:

>Sword of Screams. The faster this sword moves, the louder and more intensely it will imitate the sound of a human screaming. This is also the case when it's sheathed, although it is muffled. Be wary on horseback.

>Necklace of Valour and Value. The sapphire in this necklace glows intensely when those hostile to the wearer approach, and also when a shop in the nearby town has just slashed it's prices.

You are an Inquisitor collecting all sorts of alien shit across the galaxy.

Obviously you need somewhere to put all your dangerous alien gubbins so you build a Fortress/Dungeon.

How do you protect your dungeon to stop heretics from stealing your aliens? What traps do you put in your dungeon?

Any predictions for episode 8?

I'm thinking its going to start with Finn waking up from his coma, after a several year timeskip. That way they can get right into the action between the New Republic and the First Order, as well as Rey's training. Plus it will allow them to more easily explain Leia's death.

Starting off with the first of my GSC Neophyte guardsmen. They're fluffed in my head as the contracted security force for the mines/industrial sectors where the rest of the Cult lives. The rest of the cult will get the 4-armed emperor scheme, more or less.

Any thoughts or tips?

I like the scheme. The weathered stripe on the shoulder pad is cool. I think I'd maybe try to highlight the grey a bit more but it looks pretty nice as it is. How are you gonna paint the more severely mutated guys?

This is the one thing I disagree with. It actually works out well for the feral world, since they get tech and a chance to leave their shitty hellhole (normally to go fight for other shitty hellholes, but hey).

Plus, the Imps don't really interact with them beyond the tithe.

What do you think about the Clanbooks?
>>
>>51134540
The clanbooks are good, probably one of the best things in the 1e line, because they talk about clan structure, ideas for various types of vampires, the way the clans act and such, in addition to being fiction. Secrets of the Covenants is just fiction and mechanics; it talks about the covenants through a particular view point in various things (like the Carthian section is a 'zine), but it doesn't give you any expansion on the Covenants themselves really. Not like the 1e Covenant Books do.

It's fine if you like (difficult to read) fiction, and have already read the 1e Covenant books or are going to do all of your own stuff with them. But for a 'first timer' book, it doesn't add much to the Covenants at all IMO.
>>
>>51134239
>>51134239

Yes it was this guy.

I would basically like to know more about him. I got to chat a bit while fighting him, but I got nothing from it except that he's educated and kind of honorable (still refused to use a normal sword like me instead of a magic one). The battle was left unresolved and now he likes/hates me and I will meet him again for sure, so I would like as a player to have a general notion of who and what the fuck is my new rival. I've never dealt with demons and oriental creatures in WoD before today.

While I have nothing against them personally, generally no, mostly because they don't fit well into my campaign setting. Wouldn't say no if a player wanted to play one, but I'd have to think how to fit them in. Honestly though, my players tend to file monks under weeaboo and so show no real interest in them.
