Starting a Fallout GURPS using 4e rules. Can you guys give us tips for GURPS and even ideas for events in the game?
We're all first-timers and are planning to adhere to only the most basic rules and adding our own touches based in an expanded, lore friendly fallout America. We plan to visit Miami and Seattle. Other landmarks? We plan on touring our way through the country, then maybe move on to another country.
Dubs can name a character we encounter. Just post a name.

So, I'm part of a group who's playtesting an RPG designed by the GM, as part of a campaign that's been ongoing for about a year now.
Our last session concluded with us at a standoff with a major figure from my character's backstory, basically ready to fight, in circumstances my character has a major stake in.
Problem is, I just saw my work schedule, and they scheduled me to work when we have our games scheduled, despite telling them not to do that. I'm trying to find someone to take my shift, but it isn't working out so far.
How selfish of me is it to ask the group to reschedule or postpone this week?

Been playing Pathfinder for about 6 years with a few rotations of people.

Even the girls that would play with the group opted to be men. Oddly enough there aren't even in-game relationships. RP is solid, and testosterone focused.

What would be some everyday annoyances a winged human would experience? Setting not important. Wings in question are large enough for slightly-magic-enhanced flight (so 15ft-20ft wingspan) and can fold down to only barely dragging across the ground.

How the hell would you clean them?
What kind of brush do you need for feathers?
The comparison to angels and being constantly expected to uphold unrealistic moral standards would get annoying.
Most shirts and winter clothing would need customizing to work. Maybe large slots held together at the top with buttons? Wait, we put shirts on by throwing it over our heads so they'd have to be cut from the bottom up.
Since you can fly you can't wear skirts without shorts underneath.
You'd have to air dry them every time they get wet.
Aren't most feathers water-resistant? So how would you wash them thoroughly?
If you ever lose your feathers you'll have two weird chicken wings coming out of your back.
