How would you run it?
>>51334327
Two words; Delta Green.
>>51334472
Is it? As far as I know it is more about existential horror from space rather than surrealism involving Indian folklore. And it's also much more action-packed.
Am I misunderstanding something or do you have some specific idea in mind?
>>51334327
Is that bird the Origarmy killer?
Guys can you suggest some cards for a monoblue Edh deck?
The Idea i have for the deck is Braids,Conjurer Adept as my general and i want the deck to buff up my friends all at once and have board whipes and counterspells to stop anyone from going out of control i want it to be a really fun deck to dick around with not a deck to win with just to cause mischief
Probs gonna throw a cheatyface and eye of the storm in it and maybe get walls and defenders to protect myself
Any cards show to me are appreciated greatly
Plz halp

Have you considered Question Elemental? Also Number Crunch and Spell Counter.
I'm a brand new DM running my first campaign. My party has first time players as well as some far more experienced than I.
I've clashed with one of my players frequently on character control, her right to describe her characters actions, thoughts, and feeling, down to minutiae:
> "you all feel concern that if he's not helped soon he will die."
> "my character wouldn't feel that, please don't speak for me."
The issue this week is combat. The player frequently gets frustrated with me because I'm used to the flow being:
Player announces actions -> Player describes intentions/emotions/fluff -> Player rolls die -> DM describes the results, based on the above.
> "I want to move five spaces, dashing and weaving behind the enemy lines, and grin as I try thrusting my sword into the mage's exposed back"
> "Alright, roll it"
> "22!"
> "Definitely a hit, the mage reels back, taken by surprise as your shortsword finds purchase, gasping for a moment as you push the blade, and *Schuck* draw it out"
This frustrates her and she says this lessens her feeling of autonomy and roleplay, in her preference it is:
Player announces actions -> Player rolls die -> DM gives fail/success verdict -> Player RP's out their results.
> "I want to move to the mage and attack it"
> "Okay roll"
> "22!"
> "That's a hit!"
> "I move, dashing and weaving behind the enemy lines, and grin as I thrust my sword into the mage's back, piercing beneath his lungs, smiling, I lift a boot and push his leg for leverage as I pry the sword free"
I have only ever seen it done the first way, in all of my games, in all of my shows, never the other. The problem with her preference is that it often leads to "biting off too much" in her descriptions if you understand.
Besides this, she's a phenomenal player and I don't plan to actually be drastic about anything, If I'm being a little bitch about it, all good, at least I can continue forward with /tg/'s advice.
Will be around to answer any question.
What say you?
>>51333909
Depends on the group and the player.
Talk to her, explain that you are used to narrating but will try to cut back, but at the same time would like her to tone down her descriptions a little bit.
>>51333909
Grow some balls and kill the character the next time she bites off more than she can chew.
The only way for some people to learn is failure. You're doing great. Don't let someone in your game act like they're too good for dm hints, unless they're willing to take the consequences.
>>51333994
You sound fun. I'm sure your friends love you.
Since i wanted to give my 5e campaign a more 2e feeling, i decided that when my charactera reach level nine in a certain level they recieve a stronghold, also i am attempting to recreate kits is this a good or bad idea?
>>51333404
If you want a 2e feel, maybe play 2e.
Archetypes (sub-classes) are kind of a stand-in for kits. They even had a UA where they adapted some kits into archetypes.
The stronghold thing is fine (it's something I wish more DMs did). The only thing is that the big thresholds in 5e are typically at 5th, 11th, or 17th level. So maybe 11th level instead of 9th.
>>51333404
I'm not too well versed in 2E, but isn't the point of the 5e subclasses system to be the kits system?
In 5e, magic shops aren't necissarily real, so you end up with enough gold to get a stronghold at about level nine. Seems like just giving it would cut down on gold tracking work. Good idea.
>>51333404
Strongholds are pointless bookkeeping shit in general if every players get to have one.
Just give the group one and let them each decide what kind of buildings are created in that stronghold using pathfinder ultimate campaign guidelines.
Let them roll that shit only at the end of each sessions.
What if divine intervention, including divine caster spells, only happened during specific times of the day/night?
Either with all the gods "clocking out" at the same time and "clocking in" again at the same time, or gods have overlapping but disting individual set "office hours" outside of which that particular god's divine stuff linked to them stopped working, and how would those two setups end up looking different from each other? How would society and religion look?
Check out the Horae of Greek mythology.
>>51333183
It's a pretty easy leap of logic to have the God of the Sun and the Goddess of the Moon only able to act during their respective hours. You get the same kind of thing in mythology with the sea and the land too, though that's with area not time. Or if you wanted you could have the Sea god only active at high tide.
>>51333342
I was thinking more strict than that - god of lightning only working 5-9, goddess of wisdom only doing 11pm-4am, that sort of thing.
/tg/, have you ever felt like you couldn't kill something in a campaign just because you would feel bad about it even if it isn't real? Like something you absolutely do not want to commit to killing?
Mine is Soldiers and Guards. No matter what, good or evil campaigns, I can never bring myself to want to kill a uniformed personnel. In fact I make it a priority to never hurt one if I don't have too. It may be because I am one and I tend to set a form of bias towards them, but I always imagine their days are just filled with stupidity run by knights/officers.
How about you, /tg/?
Go away, frogposter.
>>51332517
>I can't bring myself to kill a bunch of twats who murder innocent people cause they have power fantasies.
>Even if they didn't kill anyone themselves, they actively contribute to the building of and maintenance of death machines that do. Let's just call flying golems that drop mega-gallons of acid flasks "drones".
>Also they're some of the most jingostic and socially retarded fucks on the planet who have no understanding of economics or politics but think cause they did a few situps and got up super early in the morning their opinion matters.
Only reason NOT to kill them is they probably raped a few women.
Buuuut, than turned around and groveled beneath the heel of some whore who was in their platoon.

If I had to choose a stat I'd choose Constitution. She's getting old, and it would be nice if her remaining time wasn't spent constantly being sick, it wouldn't change much of anything as of right now or that would really notice. But she'd probably stop having fleas which would be great.

>Hey, you're outshining me! You're a damn powergaming optimizing minmaxing munchkin. Make your character weaker, it's not fair.
Why are Stormwindfags the worst? Why is it a badge of pride to suck at making competent characters?
At least when the powergamers/optimizers/min-maxers give suggestions to the other players, it's to make the rest of the party stronger, not drag the party down to some paraplegic level.
>>51329642
Stop playing 3.PF.
>>51329671
You should see the Stormwindfags of other systems. They're even worse.

Stop playing shit games.
Stop being shit at running them.
I need a name, flag, and sigil for my fantasy chaos warband.
The army consists mainly of chaos warriors, clad in maroon armor and devoted to khorne. There's some bloodreaver meatshields, too.
Then things get funny. I've got twenty ironguts in the same crimson armor, two giants, and a stonehorn.
The theme is rather than daemonology, brute force.
I was thinking the "Mortal hands" and having a red fist on a black banner. Whatdaya boys think?

Which is how, exactly? How do bands name themselves?
You mean people don't do this?
I've been lied to.
>>51329391
Obviously, they go to a band name maker website and randomly generate their band name.
How else can you explain Stone Temple Pilots or Blink 182?

Re-asking:
If I have Dimension Lord + Greatest Magician + Vestments + Tower of Fate (which holy fuck would take up all my points and make me have to fight the Spectre or Trigon, but I'm tempted), do you think I could lay permanent enchantments on people that would basically work like Shazam or Wonder Woman's powers and at a similar level and would work outside of the Dimension? I know theirs are actually powered by gods, but it should theoretically be replicable with enough raw magical power, shouldn't it?
>>51329221
No.
>>51329221
From what?
Hey guys.
Im looking for some brainstorming.
Im making a quest for a party of four level 2-3 characters.
Plot:
>Baron has been kidnapped
>while the actually strong adventurers rescue him, the party needs to babysit the young Lady in a keep.
>The keep is in ruins, and all the barons soldiers are dead from the battle of the kidnapping
>objective: Survive until baron gets rescued
There are 5 footmen 5 archers 1 lieutenant and 1 captain of the guard left in the keep.
So, I need events that would happen inside these 12 long days.
Assassins? bandits? no food? please give me your best ideas. Memes are approved.
pic related: The lady in question.
Please respond
>>51328022
The Lady tries sneaking out at night because she wants to follow some fairies
>>51328116
That's not a nice thing to say about the party.
