So I've been working on a setting, and I've come across an issue.
I want the atmosphere to be toxic enough to humans that we couldn't breathe it for very long, but not so toxic that you wouldn't easily recover from it, and that you could have your skin exposed and not be in danger.
How could I accomplish this?
Or should it just be some sort of mystery?
The main reason for this is that I want the humans in my setting to be more interesting, so I figured I'd make the air toxic to them.

I dunno, perpetual smoke and ash in the air? Means you have to walk around in breathing apparatus but it won't do nearly as much damage to your skin as say chlorine gas.

On lower levels? Arbitres probably wouldn't give a fuck, but the gangs might not like it. Higher levels on the other hand are where the nobility lives, so I imagine they do their best to keep the public order in check. On middle levels ti probably depends on who you kill and how lucky you are.

it's been a while since I've been but it's meant to be a first-step to competitive play, if it's not kind to beginners it's not going to draw an audience. that said, if you're a complete beginner you shouldn't plan on success out of the gate.

First off, FNM is not just a single event, it's just a program that LGSs do and host a majority of it's mtg events on so I'm going to break this down by tournament type as best I can for you

Standard: Pretty fucking brutal for a new player since it requires bringing a 60 card deck + sideboard within the ban list and legal blocks. Not to mention a lot of people netdeck top8 decks, so a lot of decks will just be outright better

Modern: More brutal than standard

Draft/Constructed: The most newbie friendly, you build a deck on the spot from packs. In draft you pass the packs, constructed you get 6 packs to make a 40 card deck. You still won't win, but it will be more fun and removes the advantage of having spent more on the game. You also keep what you draft.

Casual play: Most people that play casually at FNM play EDH, it's fun and beginner friendly enough with a precon, you just won't do very well. 60 card casual is a total crap shoot

I want a relatively simple game to run dungeon crawler-heavy campaigns in. D&D 3.5 does not cut it because my players would rather not emphasize optimization or micromanagement much, nor do we use minis/tactical grids.

Captain Sassoon's log, January 10th 2541.

The ship design team that we captured from the Federal States of Mars has kept its promise. Even with guns pointed at their heads, they managed to deliver a Majesty-class flagship with FSM technology that met all the requirements, and then some. The tide of the war is sure to change with this.
I would be quite pleased, if it wasn't the single most infuriating ship I've ever had the misfortune to fly.

Every single control stick, lever, handle, railing and ladder rung is a prism. Every last one of them. Anything you have to grab is guaranteed to dig into your hands with its three sharp corners.

Every single chair is made from hard plastic. That wouldn't be much of an issue, if the seats didn't awkwardly curve upwards and end in a sharp edge that jabs your thighs. Even the arm rests are prisms, and yes, they point upwards. The benches in the mess hall aren't any better. They're made from really smooth and slippery plastic, and the seats are angled in such a way that makes you slowly slide under the tables.

Speaking of sliding, every single sliding door retracts into the floor, but never fully. There's always enough door exposed for you to trip on, and to make it impossible to push trolleys through doorways. You'd think that the swinging doors would have less issues, but of course not. The bathroom doors open only inwards, and they are stopped by the toilet bowls, leaving only just enough room for you to squeeze through.

The misery continues on the bridge. Critical buttons and controls are placed in seemingly arbitrary places. Controls that should be paired close, have been positioned in the opposite ends of the room. There are even some buttons under the consoles! We discovered that when someone accidentally launched an escape pod with his knee. The GUI is atrocious. Yellow text on a white background, and none of it can be changed to anything more readable. The operating system keeps making obnoxious synth noises whenever anyone presses anything, and we still haven't found the option to change the volume through the endless sub-sub-sub menus.

The crew is ready to mutiny and so am I, but the big wigs refuse to do anything. After all, the ship functions perfectly well in every combat scenario that it was meant for, and fixing all these ”minor annoyances” would make the already gigantic costs even bigger.

I swear, the next person to suggest letting POWs design your weapons will get a full plasma charge to the face.

My group just brought back a wagon full of valuable crystals to our black market connection. Before next session we have to come up with some magic items or other things that we want to negotiate for when we sell them. DM said the crystals are worth about 1k gold a piece and we have at least 20 of them.

I'm a level two factotum.
What should I try and get?

I'm thinking an Adamantine Dagger and a shuriken of X someone on here told me about that you can transform into any weapon and have proficiency with.

In terms of kickstarters which have delivered and I've been happy with, Saloon Tycoon is probably right up there and Asking for Trobils. For ones that are outstanding, I'm pretty hype for Outlive

The only thing I'm backing at the moment is Tao Long, a neat looking abstract boardgame of duelling dragons.

I backed and enjoyed their previous game, Overseers, so the company has earned my trust that they can make good shit in small boxes for low prices.

I learned early on that big, expensive kickstarters are a crock of shit half the time. Better back small, simple games where even if it falls through you haven't lost that much.
