Is it just me, or do all your non-driver characters end up with motorcycles? It seems like every time I finish building out the character, I always have enough for a decent bike with some necessary mods (like spoofing) but no real car.

How does it feel to know that in the Chronicles of Darkness (new World of Darkness 2e), the GamerGate movement was masterminded by an ugly Spanish hacker spider-lady?
>Recently, Null Snyper discovered the adolescent man-children that exist where gamers and men’s rights activists overlap. She felt nothing but contempt for them, but she decided to try flexing her internet muscles. Instead of driving people to suicide through direct online interaction, she whipped up an angry mob to go after her targets. Through empty rhetoric and carefully coordinated campaigns of doxing and harassment, she terrorized players, game developers, and journalists in the industry who don’t share her trolls’ views. The first time she saw a man killed by police, live on webcam as a result of a swatting prank, ecstasy, unlike that from any other death she caused, filled her completely. She knew she was on the right track.
>Now she maintains a carefully cultivated legion of followers. Certain circles avidly follow Null Snyper’s exploits and celebrate her as a master troll. It only takes a word or two from her to unleash the fury of hordes of aspiring trolls longing to make a name for themselves. They’ll dox anyone or breach private accounts if it means gaining a small measure of notoriety by attaching themselves to her reputation.
She also has Allies (Internet Trolls) 5. Her legion of "adolescent man-children" wields so much clout that they can automatically cancel another character's 5-dot Social Merit, like Status (Military General) 5, for one session.

Ask your GM to use the Fractional Base Bonuses system from Unchained! It's nice!
Basically, take 5 (the minimum to qualify) or more levels of Roil Dancer Kineticist (I recommend 7 or 8, as it gets you an expanded element or Infusion Spec 2) then take either 6-7 or 10 levels of Mage Hunter.
The thing is, Roil Dancer uses Constitution as their Initiation Modifier. Mage Hunter grants Magus casting based off your Initiation modifier. It's awesome.
If you do gestalt, you should use the Iron Caster fighter that uses Barroom Brawler/Martial Flexibility in order to get all those nifty spell-like abilities from Item Mastery Feats, based off of CONSTITUTION, in order to become the memeiest con-based build ever!

Hello, /tg/. I would like to hear of some archaic or unusual (but not necessarily bad) DM/GM techniques. I would like to start by relating one I experienced last year.
>Invited to a game of old-style D&D (not sure which version).
>DM is in his 40's, says he has not played in years. Very friendly and happy-go-lucky kind of person.
>The game is very good, town is atmospheric and detailed, NPCs all seem distinct and believable. The DM has a real eye for detail.
>Journey into the wilderness to find a town we heard about that was abandoned and long ago claimed by the forest.
>I'm a Halfling and having a great time because they are fantastic woodsmen in this version.
>DM rolls a random encounter and says 'that night, something crept into your camp. Whose watch was it?'
>That's kinda strange DMing in itself, but I volunteer to be on watch since I have like 90% chance to be hidden in woodlands.
>DM says I see something scurry into camp and quietly start rummaging through people's packs.
>I ask him what is is.
>'You don't know what it is.'
>Ask what it looks like.
>'You haven't seen anything like it before. It licks its chops, peers about, its ears flopping this way and that, then scurries away with an armload of rations.'
>Raise the alarm. Everyone's up.
>The thing panics. Three more leap from hiding and attack.
>No one know what they are. DM gives no description, but pulls gnarly faces and makes shrill little shrieks as these things go about attacking.
>Fight devolves into 'What are they? What are they!? AAAAAA' as people strike them down and occasionally take damage as these things apparently bite (the DM mimes biting) and strike with spears (which the DM also mimes).
>The fight ends. We still have no idea what we're dealing with. The DM refuses to describe anything. I start arguing that we aren't getting proper descriptions like I'm used to and almost flat out insult the guy.

Every encounter is like this. If its not flat-out human or very human-like, we have to intuit what is is by paying close attention. No direct description is ever given. Things would 'slither' or 'stomp' toward us or 'crawl' through doorways or 'chitter as they rear up to strike' as the carrion crawler did when I thought it was a giant centipede or something.
I am no veteran or anything but I have never felt more like a young adventurer having his first experience of strange things. There is still something guarding a wizards tower and I have no idea what it is. It might be a golem or a gargoyle, I just don't know. It was a weird rule but it worked.

A lot of D&D settings or campaigns I've played in have basically been anarcho-capitalist paradises. The PCs have not/do not pay taxes, there is no governing body regulating their sales or clientele, and are effectively given carte blanche to kill anyone/anything that attacks them first (violates the NAP) or is threatening to destroy the realm.
If this is the case, why not go all the way?

Not sure if this is funposting, but I really do enjoy Raymond Swanland. On the other end of the spectrum, Rebecca Guay is great.
If I had to go with favorite, I'm tempted to go with Mark Tedin. He's got a wide range, but his work is always distinctly his, with contrasting colors and rich textures. His cards are some of the first I remember taking real notice of in Magic.

I think it would be cool if we could agree on a format for the general. Personally I don't speak for everyone, nor have I been in the modern thread in like a year, so I think we should get a general popular decision. But for now

Fucking why? Black has literally no sideboard options and Fatal Push is pretty unnecessary when your turn 3 play is Karn and turn 4 is Planar Cleansing. Brutality is cute but Pyroclasm has higher EV vs the whole field and Sudden Shock makes Infect winnable.

The exile effect makes this feel white more then black. The green-ness of the card is also very lack luster sense any color can put +1/+1 counters on things if the right condition is met.
I think this needs to be reworked.
