Always remember that its a children's coming of a ge the rpg, so cut the scenes at the mundane boring stuff and keep a good flow which is quite important in narrative based games. You should also remember that the players are helping build the scenes occasionally.

I don't normally care that much about character optimization. But this one guy in my group played an entire campaign to a successful conclusion, shooting himself in the foot all the while. He rolled up a shapeshifter, a kind of lycanthrope with conscious control over animal shifting, but it's easier/safer to do at night and lunar phases affect the ability. It's really, really powerful when used right. To balance it, it comes iwth some fairly major costs, most especially a colossal XP penalty, such that your shapeshifter will lag far behind other characters in skills and weapon abilities, and taking magic is almost unthinkable.

He used his shapeshifting ability once. And that was an initiation into his tribe's rite of adulthood where he had to. Throughout the main body of the campaign, he never once used the core fucking ability for his entire fucking race. I have no idea why. I suggested he use it once or twice, and he would just smile and shrug and say that maybe he'll use it later.

Interupt > Instant > Sorcery

For example if you cast a Sword to Plowshares (an Instant) on your Shivan Dragon to heal yourself then your opponent can prevent it by killing it with a Blue Elemental Blast (an Interupt) first. Even if you have a second Sword to Plowshares on your hand you will not be able to use it before your dragon gets killed by the elemental blast.

Any time you cast a spell, activate an ability or go to change phase you have to give your opponent an opportunity to respond (passing priority) unless an effect says otherwise (split second)
There is no such thing as an "interrupt" anymore
Blue elemental blast is an instant and unless stated otherwise all abilities can be activated at "instant speed". Which means, when you have priority
You can absolutely cast swords to plowshares in response to a blue elemental blast

If it were clone wars era, I might have considered giving it a try. Between the boring ass Rebellion era, those shit looking minis, and the need for those awful FFG tools, I'll skip. Hope other people get what they want out of it tho

I agree with the Clone Wars thing. Look, i get it, its where the most popular Star Wars setting comes from. But truth is, those movies never felt like an actual Infantry War. Space War? Damn sure, with the many awesome space ship wars happening, but the closest thing we got was the battle of Hoth, and even that one was dependent on ships to face the walkers.

Clone Wars get us more Jedi/Sith heroes, give us a far bigger variety of Infantry (with Clones, Trade Federation robots, independents). And if I'm honest, there is a lesser chance of seeing Luke and Vader on the field, which I know many may like, but Star Wars is oversaturated with those two and we definitly could use other heroes.

So I'm looking through rigger 5.0 and I see the BMW Teufelkatze and It hink that's a really cool car that I want but it's has a F rank availability which makes it a pain in the arse to get.

How would you houserule getting a vehicle without certain standard equipment (in this case the flamer being what I assume is what drags the avail up to a F ranking)?
