Hey /tg/ I made a thread awhile ago about making a fallout florida campaign. Well the campaign is about ready to start I just need throw in some fluff for flavor. So, with G.W. moving the timeline forward, for good or for ill, I have heard one or two people mention the possibility of them making female Space Marines.
I say we all have a discussion not on whether or not it is a retarded idea, or about whether or not to rage at it, but simply brace for whatever G.W. does, and think of ways that they might be able to pull it off and not completely fuck up.
They way I see it, if one of the Primarchs, or the Emperor Himself came back, they could figure out how to make female Space Marines. However, if I recall, another reason he didn't make female Space Marines was to avoid having them breeding, deciding this new race was better, and basically abandoning humanity. That, and all of the gene-seeds belonged to males, because both the Emperor, and all the Primarchs, were male, thus, the gene-seeds would not work due to a lack of a Y-chromosome.
Here is how I see them doing it, in a not completely retarded way. It would need a lot to happen first. If they make it so one or more female Primarchs are made if the Emperor wakes up, or by one of the still living Primarchs, possibly in memory of Malcedor, who suggested making female ones in the first place, and then female Space Marines are made from their gene seed. But they better do a damn good job lore wise to justify it, instead of being just regressive pandering. There would need to be years worth of fluff to be made before all of this, so it makes sense in universe, rather than a complete ass-pull.
All I am saying is, if they _do_ decide to do it, what are your thoughts on how they could do it without being retarded?

The way I see it, We would be looking at say, 1/30 Space Marines as a liberal Estimate, possibly 1/100 for a conservative.
As for strength, I could see people from high-grav worlds being having a better chance, and thus, the majority of female Space Marines would be from there, so it would still make sense from a biological stand point.
