Depends what roll it is, but most of them are "safe" to roll in open.
Problem only starts when there is a counter-check and depending on sequence, hiding the roll might be beneficial for players, or they might end up fucked pretty hard in situation that should go smooth otherwise.

EVERYONE SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP! Things have gotten dire! This region's troll tribes are no longer in cold war. Over the last month, some guy who calls himself the “Troll King" has stirred up trouble between the groups. As we all know well, trolls have no preference for battlefields; skirmishes have been sighted from open fields to crowded settlements and, because of this, the collateral damage to villages and towns has gotten to the point where it’s starting to involve us. Now, before anyone asks, the King sent diplomats to negotiate, but this “Troll King” denounced the King's rule, calling him a spineless pansy, then turned the diplomats into trolls through some ancient troll voodoo that we still don't understand. It’s safe to say that talking this one out is going to be difficult, if not impossible. If anyone has a collection of ancient orcish charms that ward against weird voodoo hidden underneath their bed, now’s the time to share.
This is now a Guild problem. Our orders come direct from the King of Tiji. We need solutions! Plans! Methods! Anything to deal with this mess. Get to it!Welcome to the Fighters' Guild. The sad part about the setting is that the races really do need to be seperate. Societies don't work properly when the rules have to be so different for every metatype. LIfespan considerations ALONE are an issue.

Hey /btg/, I need some advice on my planned evolution of my ASF squadrons, as it stands I only have 2, but I'm hoping to upgrade to 4 with a command flight once I get some of that sweet, sweet clan salvage to resell, on top of the contract pay from the initial invasion.
Anyways, I'm wondering if I'm pants on head for the following breakdown:
Interceptor Squadron: 6x Royal Sabre
Light Fighter Squadron: 4x Spad-503, 2x Royal Zero
Heavy Fighter Squadron: 2x Royal Lightning, 4x Royal Eagle
Dropship/Strike Squadron: 4x Royal Ahab, 2x Royal Stuka.
Command flight I'm not sure on but will likely be either Eagles or Stukas.
As it stands I plan to retire the Ahabs as they get shot down, with Stukas. It's currently 3048, and I'm not really expecting to upgrade unless I capture omnifighters or until I can purchase IS designs.

I have a modern horror game planned, and it centers pretty heavily around demons and the Underworld. I'm going for kind of a Silent Hill vibe, and right now I'm trying to flesh out my denizens. I'm on the hunt for inspiration.
