Not necessarily. People being similar classes can make dangling plot lines easier.
For example once had a one-shot where people made their characters on their own. 3 of 4 of them were Rogues, and the last one was a DEX Fighter.
It made the game into a stealth and infiltration game and it was pretty fun.

I love playing hybrid characters.Paladins, Arcane Tricksters, Eldritch Knights, Warlocks. I've loved it ever since the Red Mage for Final Fantasy. So anything that lets me combine magical and martial power is awesome in my book.
Now for my problem:
So im writing up the Dark Elves/Drow of my campaign, and they worship three entities. Loth, Demon Queen of Spiders is the chief among the worshippers, but both Grazzt the Dark Prince, and Tharizdun the Black Sun, are worshipped. Grazzt is all about this primal desire with a thin mask of civility. Tharizdun is like this thing of darkness, entropy, and maddness.
Drow Nobles of the houses are uniquely gifted by the entity they chiefly worship. Drow Nobles of Loth are gifted a spider branded form of vampirism. They don't become mist, they become swarms of spiders. They transform into spiders, and command spiders. Those who fail becoming a vampire mutate into driders.
My question is, what kind of gifts could Grazzt and Tharizdun bestow to the noble houses that favour them?

Well meaning scientist released an engineered microorganism intended to clean up oil spills that ruined coal and oil reserves, collapsing the world economy. Efforts to stop global warming proved to work too well with the sudden loss of added carbon and the world is now in an ice age.
On the bright side, most days are sunny and clear.
People survive in small communities. Solar panels provide the best remaining energy source. It's considered a grave sin to destroy them, and communities will launch raids to steal them from other people and salvage them from failed communities.
Ice crawers are large tank-tred equipped machines that salvagers and traders use to move between communities. They move in the day, when their solar panels can collect enough energy to power the treads, and at night bunker down in place.

We have threads about "that guys" and asking for advice on what to do about people who are total dickbags all the time, but I want a thread to just kind of whine about shit that's annoying but not annoying enough to do anything about it.
I'll start.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself hired a genuine ninja in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that's about 20,000 dinars) and have been practicing with him for almost 2 years now. He can even cut slabs of solid steel with his shuriken.
Japanese ninjas spend years practicing a single kick and repeat it up to a million times to become the finest martial artists known to mankind.
Ninjas are thrice as stealthy as Middle Easter hashashin and thrice as deadly for that matter too. Anyone a hashashin can assassinate, a ninja can assassinate twice. I'm pretty sure a ninja could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple knifehand strike.
