Is the Raven Queen lore worth adapting from 4e?
>>51764660
No, considering they seems to have reversed her usurpation of Nerul.
>>51764650
I've flavored the NPCs one as a much higher curse from over a thousand years ago, though the Paladin should reach level 9 by the time they get to the dungeon. The NPC is essentially an unwilling Undying Warlock, if that doesnt really make sense Im not bothered desu seeing as how my players haven't noticed.
>>51764660
For Forgotten Realms, I like to think that Ravenlocks have made a pact with either Kelemvor or even better, the Wall of the Faithless.

It's the American adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki. Oddly, they made it around a decade after Ryuki came out, instead of adapting a more contemporary Rider series. My theory is that the fights taking place in an unoccupied mirror dimension made it easier for them to stitch together scene transitions from the American footage to the Japanese footage, and also meant they didn't have to film any new bits when Riders were interacting with civilians to replace the ones where they were obviously in Japan.

First of the mother of hope no more!
Do we have leaks for 'Lighting Strike' and 'Wrath of Storm' abilities of the SC battletome 2?
>>51752486
Wrath of Storm - As ling as 50+ models from this battalion are on the table, all models in this battalion may reroll failed to-wound rolls.
Celestial Nimbus - Add +1 to all hit rolls of models of a Harbinger Chamber.
Martial Bond - Whenever a unit from this battalion is destroyed, select another unit from this battalion within 10" and add +1 Attack to all melee weapons of that unit.
Lightning Strike - When using Scions of the Storm for units from this battalion you may add or subtract 2 from the dice roll when you determine if a unit from this battalion shows up.

Some of the best of SoS history
The KS link & Opaque's website
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2006613790/song-of-swords-tabletop-roleplaying-game

Song of Swords is a a tabletop RPG centered around realistic medieval fightan' with a ludicrous variety of weapons and fighting styles, centered around a dice pool system. It's currently in beta, and can be used for both fantasy and historical games. Kickstarter is happening NOW we are kicking ass baby!
Call of the Void: Ballad of the Laser Whales is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.

Note that the latest version of the game is v1.9.9 but with additional supplements. It's NOT what's currently on Opaque's website, because Jimmy is Jimmy.

This is only one spook of many, but the bug people of my setting are sometimes afflicted with a fungus that hollows them from the inside out and controls their exoskeleton to go around and bite/sting other buggos. The exoskeltals have neat designs where they're all fucked up hollowed out exo skeletons filled with really fucking neat/horrifying looking fungus.
They're basically the setting's version of vampires.
There's also a spot where a civilization composed of spooky skeletons keeps several human towns in extreme isolation, governing them well and keeping everyone fed and quenched with calcium rich milk. Then every century or so they spread plague and famine across the villages and resurrect the dead into more skeletons that they teach the truth and induct into their secret kingdom. (Which is actually only a secret to the villages, the outside world doesn't know that the ol' skelly kingdom is being kept functioning by literal bone-farms.)

Sounds pretty fucked up anon.
Well, since the Americans are all going to sleep, a question for the Asians and Euros!
What are some Secret Societies in your settings? Are they always sinister? What are their goals? Are any of them benevolent?
My current setting has 3. Maske, the Eyes of Zora, and the Black Shroud.
Maske is an effective intelligence network developed by a one-time PC, with an emphasis on disguises and running everyone else's government behind their back. Their ultimate goal is purely self-enrichment.
The Eyes of Zora are more akin to an Inquisition, but they use the actual Inquisition as a front for their operations. They are a high-ranking Church society bent towards the gathering of knowledge of all sorts, and the destruction of all Evil knowledge, including Necromancy. Necromancy in this setting actually IS super-evil, so they kind of are justified in that regard.
The Black Shroud is simply put, a collection of insane death-worshiping Necromancers who want to let the Zombie-Gods kill us all. They just happen to have the most ludicrous streak of luck anyone has ever seen. I have included them in every game I ever ran in my setting, and the PCs have NEVER managed to notice them. One of them WAS a member, and he didn't even fucking notice. And the cult itself has the strangest ability to always crit on off-screen checks to see how they're doing.
Baffling and frustrating, but the payoff will be worth it!

How do you make fire magic less stupid?
>>51767903
>How do you make fire magic less stupid?
What exactly do you think is stupid about it, Anon?
Elaborate.
>>51767917
>other elements can do tons of cool shit
>fire burns, burns some more and burns with chance of extra burning
>despite all that, it's much shittier at destruction than other three element
>>51767903
Seeing how fire is dependent on what it is being fed, maybe fire magic could just be a subset of manipulation of other things? Magic over chemicals that maybe in a fantasy setting, would be unfathomable, could be the direction you ought to go to give fire magic more depth. At least this way you can justify lighting some precious lake or fountain on fire and defying the normal assumptions of fire. As for making corporeal and physical bodies out of fire? I'd how that would work. Imo fire objects are dumb and hard to even justify as physical objects can pass through fire and for people who've done that trick where you quickly run your hand through a fire or candle, fire doesn't immediately burn when those kicks of flame graze or pass by the object
Hey /tg/, I'm trying to incorporate griffins into a homebrew and struggling to make them unique.
I'm imagining them as intelligent apex predators, with some kind of innate magical abilities. A pack structure, but less rigidly enforced social dynamics than typical alpha/beta bull shit. No opposable thumbs, so they sometimes partner with humanoid races because it's nice to have your mane braided or who the fuck knows please help
You need to make them cool? I thought they were already cool. Do kids these days don't like griffins anymore?
They are in fact very cool already
My question is more how to incorporate them into a wider world as more than just noble steeds (pictured) or random monster encounters.
Griffons are the intelligent nobility of animals of the land. They are both the Eagle, King of Birds, and the Lion, King of Beasts.
You will find them at the heads of animal courts, which convene every solstice to debate and air their grievances. Contrary to popular belief, animals are incredibly political and have much to say.
Should they be the mount of a being, most likely an elf, that being has earned the respect of a noble and is granted the privilege of their service.
I want to play a game of racist European archaeologists in the nineteenth century fucking around in the jungle, looting ancient ruins, and insulting primitive natives. What's the correct system for this?

Savage Worlds
So are C'tan still anti warp entities?
The warp is anathema to the c'tan. IIRC there was something in the 3rd edition necron codex that said they wanted to cut off the warp from realspace, but that was a long time ago and I haven't paid attention to their newer fluff.
So it's not that the C'tan are anti-warp, it's more so they were anti-old ones, and since the old ones relied a lot on their pyschic powers, the Necrons developed technology to fight against pyschicness and the warp in general. Necrons don't have pyskers, and don't rely on the warp for travel, so the warp pretty much only provides benefits for their enemies. Like with the Pylons on Cadia, they were there to suppress the presence of the Eye of Terror.
Actually what was the deal with the pylons on Cadia? I thought the eye of terror was murderfucked into existence by Slaanesh. So does that mean the Necrons built them after the Fall of the Eldar? Or does that mean that it was built before that time, but for some reason the eldar never bothered to destroy them, even though this would have been right where the heart of the eldar empire was.
But yeah I would say that C'tan and Necrons in general are not inherently anti-warp, they just in no way benefit from it, so they actively seek ways to diminish it.
>>51766363
pretty sure there are pylons on other worlds, cadia just has especially many.
And yeah they were built before the eye formed. Cadias location isn't in the heart of the old eldar empire, thats where the centre of the eye of terror is.
It's not as big a coincidence as it kight seem though, its not just luck that there were lota of pylons at the enteance to the eye. But rather there is an entrance to the eye there, because of the pylons.
What's stopping magic being regulated and concentrated in the hands of the military, and police?
In the magical world, a pleb might have the magic equivalent of a hand gun. But the state, and corporations (guilds if you will) would have the magic equivalent of stealth bombers and nukes.
First of all, magic doesn't work.
Second of all, there is nothing to prevent in-fighting and coups.
>>51765821
>magic doesn't work.
>says every fighter until the wizard saves his ass by raining down meteors
The big spells REQUIRE a military's worth of trained dude/ttes to pull off the big stuff.
Anything else belongs in an anime.
Hey, /tg/, I'm looking for a series of images of a bard who keeps having kids with the various monsters his party is fighting.
I'm pretty sure pic related was part of the series
