What do your characters do for fun?
>>52247093
Hammer
Saber
Vandal
Voodoo
Does anyone have the Soldier duties that were added in Forged in Battle? All the scans seem to be missing that page for some reason.
>>52247328
>What do your characters do for fun?
Alcohol, dick jokes, gravball, combat jacks, shitposting on the holonet, playing starfighter miniature games, singing girly pop music in unison, watching strong pornography, and fucking around with surplus supplies.
You know, your average space military PC party.
Why do you guys hate Eldar so much?
>>52240687
They call us mon'keigh.
They believe we're less competent then eldar children in every single way.
Slaanesh etc.
>>52240687
What are you talking about? I love Ancient Greek/Japanese hair metal ninjas.
>>52240687
I don't hate them.
They are my favorite faction.
Princess thread continues, because two could not contain the demand for princess discussion.

In what setting are you allowed to have concubines while married to a princess?
Any advice for finding groups to play with? My real life group of close friends rarely gets together and can't keep a campaign going longer than 4 sessions. I've had little luck on Roll20 and there's no D&D Adventurer's League games going on near me (searched for every game store within ~100 miles, nothing).
>>52282779
It depends a lot on where you live. Do you live in a city, somewhere more rural?BA BOOP DI DA BOOP BOP
>>52282779
Try a website like meetup.com. When my old group drifted apart I found my current group there.

I live in a smallish/medium sized city in the middle of redneck territory. There's two really small game stores here and one only just opened up and both of those game stores are more keen on MTG than most stuff more RPG related.
I'm going to keep making Spartan Games the pic until someone else makes the thread because y'all are too lazy to do it edition.
>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.
Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.
>Examples of games that qualify
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miniature_wargames
Grimdark Future, Age of Fantasy, Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, Freebooter's Fate, Dark Age, LotR and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

Tell us about that one arctic campaign you had anon.
It was mostly about arctic clubbing.Seal clubbing.
>>52281196
Just once I'd like to hear about this and have it actual turn out to be a cool dance club.
I'd actually like this for a lot of campaigns.
>>52281157
>tfw you live in Alaska
Only tropics/desert campaigns here my dude
Is there a Psionics book for 13th Age? Even if it's third party, it'd be good. I'm making a custom setting for it, and my idea for Gnomes involves them being secret Psions, and I'd rather not make my own Psionic stuff from scratch or try to port it from another system.
>>52281139
http://13thage.org/index.php/classes/631-the-psion
First thing I could find with a quick google search.
>>52281342
Thanks, anon. I might be able to use the powers from that class, at the very least.
Any helpful advice to someone who's new to GM'ing the system? I'm planning to run a Zelda campaign using the system a month from now. I ran a pair of test combats with my players and it seems pretty good, but I'm wondering if there's any kinks or important info that I should know about.
Anyone here want a LOTR thread? How many people here play it?
>>52280783
I think I made the last one in 2016.
Are they your mini's? They're pretty good.
>>52280801
Nope not mine, but if you like i could definitely post some of them
>>52280830
Yeah go for it.
I'm interested in playing but I'm waiting for FW to release a 'middle-earth SBG'. The Hobbit films were that horrendous it's put me off buying anything with Martian Freeman's face on.

I was thinking /tg/. In the real world there are wars fought over oil and other resources. What would be the fantasy equivalent of this? What kind of resources would be interesting to have two kingdoms fight a large scale war over?
>>52277201
Iron, gold, horses, or any fantasy equivalent of unobtainium.
>>52277201
Magic crystals that shoot lightning bolts or turn people into ice.
Or whale oil, whale oil too.
>>52277446
Usually this.
Or Macguffins, Holy relics, or "EVIL" descriptor races/groups taking over, namely undead, aberrations, and anything to motivate a crusade if Crusades were still popular.
Did you know Pelor is fond of Theocracy?
How viable are these half shoe things? Where basically your foot is still exposed but your arch is covered. I always seen art and descriptions of characters wearing foot wear like this is this just "looks cool" or does it have any purpose besides that?
>>52276800
Depends on the sorts of places you are walking, but in rougher terrain it won't provide too much protection due to how thin it is.
>>52276800
Have you never played sports? Its the exact see thing as taping your feet up. Impractical for normal humans that are travelling long distances, but you can easily wear shoes over them
>>52276800
It's mostly a fetish thing. That being said, some people prefer to run barefeet, shoes before industrialisation were exceedingly expensive, and beast races might have claws or pads or some shit.

What's the mindset of a man who dates orc women?
>>52276099
"It's totally worth the risk of eating out a women who could crush my head between her thighs like a watermelon."
>>52276099
1. No standards
2. very specific standards
3. Rejection from peer groups in childhood leading to xenophilia
>>52276099
The mindset of a mountain climber or an experimental jet pilot.
Lets continue developing anons
I got a question do you think it is bad that in system there are characters that have 0 chance at succeeding?
ie: in a roll and keep system, lets say there are three players one whit Roll 3 keep 1, other with Roll 3 keep 2 , and other whit Roll 3 keep 3, there is no opportunity for the first player to succeed in a difficulty higher than 6
>>52275907
Depends entirely on game context.
If it's one skill/attribute/zone out of five, and having one or two stats like this is common, then it's fine.
If it's rarely going to come up negatively, it's fine.
If it's one out of two, or frequent, problem.
What is a good twist for Roll xd6 keep highest system?
>>52277385
Multiple highest give +1, i.e. roll 3D6 and get 2, 5, 5; it counts as a 6?
How open are you to suggestions and advice from your players?
Well, taking into account if they aren't having fun then the game lacks purpose, very.
>>52275564
Hal was the best part of that show
>>52275564
I think a more enjoyable experience can be achieved when the gm is open to suggestions from the players, and works with them to create a game world that they'll enjoy, yes.
