So is Magnus basically a Saturday morning villain now?
Because I always preferred it when he was the most reluctant primarch to fall to Chaos, who only joined Tzzentch because he had no other choice and forever resented his situation.
I always go the impression that he was a loyalist at heart but was pushed onto a darker path by forces beyond his control.
Also does he and Roboute have a particular history or did Magnus attack him because 'fuck that guy'?

So I know that all beholder consider themselves to be the perfect/ideal beholder which is why they kill all other beholders on sight. I know they're also pretty crazy and evil in general and would gladly murderize other races too.
But does flattery work on a beholder?

Brass armor, pangolim armor, paper armor, bone armor, riveted leather armor, shields with hidden rockets and triple-barreled arquebuses used as shields, the eastern folks had it all.
The pic is austronesian brass armor. They used it because they iron was scarce and rust quickly in their humid environment. Their plated mail also had bigger gaps than say, ottoman equivalents, and never covered more of the body than this. Doing so was asking for a heatstroke.

First, get out of the mindset of "punishing" anyone. It's a game, calm down.
Second, make a game worth getting invested in. Nobody cares about your fanfiction tier ripoff of Game of Thrones. Dark settings where everything is shit are hard to get invested in. Lighten up a little.
Third, talk with your players. Ask them their reasons why they're not taking things seriously. Could be a misunderstanding or a failure to communicate. Maybe they're just genuine shitters. You won't know until you sit down and ask.

Some groups only want to kill shit and get loot and won't care even about a good story.
