I have a question.
What the fuck is up with the Deferi?
>>52334031
Cryptic went and tried to make an original race. They came up with fish heads that apply the same kind of logic and emotional suppression as the Vulcans, only without the self preservation instinct.
>>52334031
Original Cryptic dev team made a race of OC Donut Steels. Current dev team doesn't care about them so they generally ignore them and made their own race of OC Donut Steels.
I seem to have some kind of package here.

Are there any tabletop settings/systems with a sexual focus? I'm thinking kind of like COC/TITS but with less furshit.
DMing for my girlfriend and her girlfriend tomorrow night and she asked me to gather a bunch of different settings for them to choose from to pop her gf's tabletop cherry. I want to include one like this on the off chance it gets them horny enough for a threesome. It's a low percentage play but I rolled 2 natural 18s in a row off of 3d6 last session so I'm really feeling it.
D&D 3e (not 3.5, 3e) had the Book of Erotic Fantasy. Some stuff from Lamentations of the Flame Princess is pretty sexual, though it's not a sexual game. There's also FATAL, but you don't want to play that
And I'm a GURPSfag, so I'll also suggest GURPS
Monster Hearts.
It's supernatural teen romance.
With boning.

So, the arcana is here. How do you feel about it?
It's okay. Nothing spectacular.
>>52399391
it's ok, kind of dumb and unpolished but ok.
>>52399391
New archetypes are nice I guess but I really wanted improved food rules.
So I'll be running a mad max like game called atomic highway this sunday and need an adventure, I'd just fury road my players but we've seen that movie together...
In the meantime I'll post any fitting images I can find on my phone.
Hard Science Fiction or Soft Science Fiction?
Erotic Science Fiction.

Hard alien girls or soft alien girls?
Has anyone had any experience (or even better can recommend) with buying a gaming mat from china? I'm looking for a FAT \ deepcut style mat, but all I can find is stuff around the £60-70 mark. Pic is an example of what i'm seeing on alibaba..
>>52398321
>£60-70
Holy shit, what the fuck? Just go to a copyshop and get it printed yourself, or order online. There are probably dozens of online printers in the UK that sell that kind of stuff as table overlays, covers or huge-ass mousepads.
>>52398544
I can see the canvas or banner stuff cheaper, but If I can I would like the mousemat style stuff.
>>52398544
>huge-ass mousepads
How big does that average copy store do?
Although, the thought of laying down a dozen modular mouse-pads to make a map sounds fun too.
Why don't Tyranids use tech? If they really were running away from some major threat you'd think they'd use every possible advantage to speed up their retreat.
>>52398159
They DO use tech. EVERYTHING they have is tech. BIOTECH.
>>52398303
I mean things beside biotech, there are some things biotech just can't do. Otherwise the Tyranids would have ate the galaxy a long time ago, stars and all.
>>52398303
I just realized the only difference between Biotech and Biotch is the e. Haha
Can any other species apart from humans get PTSD in 40k?
>>52397953
You'd think that the Fire Caste would have a higher tolernace for violence considering that's their entire purpose for being. Then again, on the whole most of the races I imagine are far more use to the brutality of their time then we ever could be now.
>>52397953
Only Tau I'd assume, Orks and Eldar were bred for war so I assume their "Fight or Flight" instinct doesnt get over-stressed or have issues dealing with violent trauma.
>>52398089
If anything the Fire Caste was bred for war, eldars if don't control it correctly since their emotions are stronger they can get an even worse version of the human one.
Thief or rogue?
Wizard or magician?
Which and why?
Depends on the edition.
Rogue.
Wizard.
Aesthetic.
Bards are pop trash, Minstrels are real artists. Gotta go with minstrels.
Thief, as a class title, is too the point. I can appreciate that. Rogue is sorta bland. Thief.
Magicians don't actually have magic powers, they're just crafty and wise. So no duh they beat out Wizards, the most privileged and played-out role ever devised. Magicians win.

What's your favourite way turns are taken that you've seen in a game? I enjoy the realtime part of millennium blades, feels very stressful and hectic but fun everytime (Especially when you're making fat stacks)
>>52392869
>What's your favourite way turns are taken that you've seen in a game?
I love simultaneous actions (Steampunk Rally also comes to mind) but my favorite has to be smaller actions alternating between players. Cuts on downtime, allows appropriate responses to opponents, and can make games tense with that "gotcha!" feel.
While I love simultaneous actions it can induce anxiety in new players.
So, my group wants a new co-op game. Here's what I'm considering:
(Pure Co-Op)
Ghost Stories
Flash Point
Forbidden Island
Red November
(Traitor Co-Op)
Dead of Winter
Is there anything else I should consider? Our current co-op selection is Pandemic (+On the Brink) and BSG.
>>52395431
I've heard some REALLY good things about Aeon's End, might be worth looking into if you don't hate deckbuilders.
How do you make a "neutral" BBEG that is not a machine, an animal or a "force of nature"?
>>52391928
A corporation whose business interests somehow result in them being antagonistic to the party. They're not doing it for ideological or malicious reasons, it's just trying to make the most money possible at literally any expense.
That's probably evil by D&D alignments though.
If they're truly neutral they probably don't engage in anything out of their political sphere but maybe them not doing anything is against the parties interest
So lets say there's a war going on and the parties nation needed help from the nation or person and they'd just stay neutral
Probably a shit idea but its all i got
>>52391928
wouldn't that be a BBNG instead?
Okay, I've got a weird question regarding oddly-shaped dice.
So imagine a polyhedron where the faces are made up of two different types of shapes (pic related). If you rolled a die shaped like this, then I assume there would be a greater chance that it would land on one of the larger sides, right? So I'm wondering: is there any way to determine the probabilities for rolling oddly-shaped dice like these one?
I ask because these sorts of dice could potentially produce some really bizarre and unique probabilities.
I made a couple charts to help illustrate what I mean.
For instance, the die pictured to the left has 14 faces total, made up of 8 triangles and 6 squares. For the sake of argument, let's assume that you're twice as likely to land on a square side (since they're larger). The results would vary depending on which numbers you choose to put on the triangular sides and which ones you choose to put on the square sides. So I made these graphs to show the results for multiple difference scenarios.
Yes, these results are basically just a wild guess since I have no idea what the actual chances of landing on a square side compared to a triangular side. But my goal here is just to explain why I I think these sorts of dice could potentially be interesting.
I doubt even the world's greatest geometrician can do better than just rolling a few thousand die and determining the approximate odds empirically.
The empirical way (rolling it 10000 times and recording it) always works but other than that direct correlation of sizes is skewed (and I can't imagine it beeing linear)
