How to make this work?
>>52400697
Read Fred Hoyle's "The Black Cloud".
Next time, do your own fucking homework.
>>52400697
How and why would that affect players? It's like having a race of space whales that live on a gas giant somewhere, in a space opera setting. Even if you can communicate to them, what would they even want to do with you or vice versa? You can't survive down there, they can't survive anywhere else.
>>52400697
>They don't give a fuck.
>Just chilling up in space, doing their own thing.
>I mean we don't really know that they're alive, but we kind of think they are?
So let's dump some of the most bullshit high-level wizard / full-caster shenanegans you've come across. I'm thinking of D&D (any edition) / pathfinder in particular but hell I won't turn down good stories from any system.
I don't have a whole lot off the tip of my head myself, but I did just recently read about how a wizard could use a magically-reduced cone for a hat - in case of an antimagic field, the hat would de-shrink, form a barrier around the wizard, and break the line of sight to the wizard (and apparently therefore the antimagic field by RAW? idk), letting him make good his escape or do whatever he wanted, really.
And then there was something about stopping times and brewing bombs? i'm sure some fa/tg/uy has better info on that, it's been forever since I've seen it
This one time, this guy I knew played a level 17 wizard. Fucking cheesing gamebreaking munchkin, man.
>>52400614
any stories in particular?
>>52400568
1D4 chan has a couple of good articles about bullshit that wizards can do- here is a good example of a wizard doing what they do best for not entirely complete asshole reasons.

How do you add sexual themes to your games?
Consensually.

I run Monsterhearts, it's inherent to the system

>What's your favorite Lovecraftian force to go up against as a player? What's force do you like throwing your players against as a GM?
>>52399691
i like "smaller" stories, so cultists, ghouls, deep ones and the like are good. the old ones can still play, but you can still get that good pessimistic hopeless world view going without "the world is ending"-stakes
>>52399691
I love to be put up against unique monsters. I know pretty much everything about the "canon" mythos so seeing something new or a new take on something old always gets me excited.
For my players I enjoy giving them situations with no real sucess options. When players merely need to decide between different dregees of failure thats when I feel good.
Just post Halflings.
>>52399537
So, how short are halflings? Small enough that an eagle would consider them prey?
>>52400307
Between three and four feet, trending towards three.
Y'know, half-sized.
JD heard your last character was of an ethnicity he has yet to fight, and he wants to fix that by beating their ass. How does your character do?

>Question:
Was any of the characters you played with blood bonded to someone else or blood bonded someone to themselves?
>>52398645
My Brujah in my last game got a really weak blood bond to one of the Caitiffs in the group, because I got shot in the head(for the third time) and didn't have enough blood left to heal myself out of incap without him giving me a few points.
Rank the Masquerade clans from edgiest to least edgy
So, is the DE Companion as shitty as we expected?
>The world is the painting of a god.
How stupid does that sound?
>>52398116
Too basic to be stupid or not. The idea is okay, but what execution are you proposing?
>>52398116
Saying it's a painting implies that it exists inside another world, that would be the "domain" of that god.
Except if the idea in itself is completely metaphorical.
Anyway, it would be as stupid as it is undeveloped. You could use it as a starting point.
>>52398116
This sounds way too close to LoTR where the world is a song
What game systems handle variable power level the best? I want my players to experience starting as regular people and then become champions of a multiverse.
Is there already a system that does this really well or will I have to try homebrewing one?

I actually considered that but I don't own it and haven't read it yet.
Is it easy to peel away the Superhero setting stuff?
Can you just reskin powers and such.

How are Chaos Dwarves on the tabletop performance wise?
I have an idea for a theme army - "renegade dwarves", using regular Dorf models converted to be more run down and use Chaos Dwarf rules but I hate having models that just sit on a shelf and lose every game.

Last thread died quickly, I'm DMing an AdEva game and need songs to initiate Third Impact to. Something uplifting, bittersweet, to go along with everything tumbling, tumbling down.

You suddenly become a fully armed and armoured Tactical Marine (gene-seed of Roboute Guilliman), in the exact position you are now. You still have your personality but all of a sudden you're 7' tall in socks and you're a master of combat and tactics.

This.
The rules of the test are very simple. Describe your fellow party members without mentioning what they look like, or what their profession or role is.
The more descriptive you can get, the stronger is their character, right?

Immigrant rageaholic, Dendrophile/degenerate hippie, Flying pussy from hell, Religious nut, Necrophiliac.
>>52395494
How did I do?
>>52395402
I am 100% sick of the Plinkett test now. When I first heard it, it seemed neat, a good way to point out the inherent weaknesses of people who never even realised they were failing to truly roleplay, to make interesting characters. But that was because I didn't apply much thought to it.
As time rolled on and you made and remade this thread, about every month, I started to get sick of it as I do everything that repeats too often. And I started to think, about why it would be justifiable to dislike it, only to realise it was fucking obvious.
The Plinkett test completely misses out on how we characterise REAL ACTUAL PEOPLE we interact with day to day. Despite the tirade of "It's what's inside that counts", the fact is that the shorthand provided by people's professions, their appearance and affectations, and the statistically verifiable way this effects their behaviour is far too useless to ever leave human vocabulary in these matters.
Furthermore, I would go as far as to say that the Plinkett test is incredible at making any character sound fucking boring. Even incredibly well nuanced characters sound fucking boring when you parse them through the Plinkett test, and not a whole lot less boring than someone who is actually the most straight laced whitebread motherfucker imaginable.
Kira Yoshikage from JoJo Part 4 is from what I can tell, a character literally designed from the ground up around the idea of passing the Plinkett test with flying colours, and yet a description of him following Plinkett test rules still manages to miss the context that makes anything cool about him as a character.
Please consider critically assessing what you are attempting to normalise before you shovel it down /tg/'s throat for the nth time.
Good morning and welcome back! Y'all know what time it is!
If somebody doesn't pay the soul tithe cost and has to sack the permanent. Is there any window where I can return to hand or flicker it to keep it alive but kill their permanent?
>>52393205
Kinda sorta. Your last chance to flicker/bounce your Soul Tithe is while the trigger is still on the stack. The trigger will still be there, so they'll still have to pay or lose it (and if they CAN'T pay, for example, it's dead as dust either way). There's no way for you to wait and see if they'll pay the X before trying to flicker or bounce, though. That's a choice made on resolution, and as soon as they don't pay the X, their creature dies and the Aura falls off into the graveyard immediately after, with no priority until all of that has happened.

M opponent has a Pack Rat and 2 tokens that were created with Pack Rats' ability. I cast Engineered Explosives for Zero, and crack it. Do I kill the Pack Rat tokens?
How are there Vampire nobility and or houses when Vampires can't reproduce sexually?
>>52392838
Entire families are converted into vampires.
>>52392838
Their human relatives can.
>>52392838
They're adopted families. The vampire who turned you is considered your sire. If your sire was a noble, congrats. If they were from a lesser branch, sucks to be you.
