Is there a way to do Super Speed without it being overpowered?
>>52994332
Put a finite amount of usage on it? Hourly, daily, lifetime. Whatever suits your campaign needs.
Just a suggestion though. Might find something else works better for you.
>>52994332
Make it as difficult as actual exercise.
You have to have over 10 STR and DEX to maintain speed.
>>52994332
Just don't make them travel at fucking light speed. You can still be fast but you don't need to be spitting in Einstein's face every time you do your thing god damn.
How does one role-play loss of sanity without being churlish?

Where did the "dumb orcs" meme originally come from? Was that D&D? Tolkien's orcs were clever, they liked machines and industry. The iron horde from WoW is ironically closer to Tolkien's idea than 90% of modern depictions of orcs.
WoW doing anything is enough to convince me that it's a bad idea.
>>53085122
>they liked machines and industry
They didn't "like" anything, his Orcs were soulless and empty.
>>53085141
Maybe you need to read the books again.
My GM has rejected my character and said I should revise him. The character is too edgy and reminds too strongly of the 90. The problem is that I think the character is fine and do not know how I could improve him. It is a superhero campaign by the way.
tl;dr version
>Was a German soldier in World War 1.
>Angry about the end of the war.
>Has eagerly supported the following nazi-regime.
>Always turned a blind eye to war crimes.
>Changed his mind after his disabled son was killed.
>Joined the local resistance
>Is captured.
>Human subject research
>Gave him super-powers.
>Breaks free.
>Wants to atone for his actions.
There are still a few minor things, but they are not important.
>>53084222
it's literally fine.
>>53084222
What the GM says goes. Sometimes it sucks, but especially when it comes to character submissions, you can't expect a GM to run for a character they don't think they can deal with.
While I think that somewhat makes sense, you are delving into some pretty dark themes with that background, which might be beyond the scope of what the GM wants to deal with.
What's the premise of the game?
>>53084222
See if making him a woman changes anything or like, a medic. Or I dunno, a baker who got shipped off by accident.
Maybe they guy is just being a cock. Hell he probably is
>sign up to cyberpunk game on r20
>first session, all characters loose ALL their memory, money, and augments and we're all fugitives
>entire memory loss arc is convoluted and leads nowhere
>What is player agency?
>GM adds all other users running cyberpunk games on the site
>harasses them and breaks them down psychologically in order to protect his status as the only game of cyber on r20
>sends logs in between sessions of him talking shit to other GMs
>he's super fucking paranoid about his game's standing
What's his end game?
>>53084204
>What's his end game?
I don't know, I don't care, now post GM profile and pics of the convos, cuz I don't want anyone like that near me.
>>53084275
fuck, i got kicked from the group. i know there was some pretty good stuff
there was a session where we got stuck in the back of a van and one of the PCs ran off to do her own little adventure so we had to wait the whole time for like 3 hours
>>53084204
His endgame is destroying the CP2020 players so that when CP2070 comes out, no one plays.
Without the competition, everyone will have to play Shadowrun, and Catalyst won't have to worry about turning the franchise from cyberpunk into urban fantasy driving away players. After all, where will they go?

With honor, chivalry, and suffering, mostly.
With each edition change, we endured.
When cavalry was nerfed, was endured.
When we were promised a new army book; we hoped and we prayed.
And when the end came, we found that ultimately; we had dug our own graves.

In an upcoming Pathfinder game I will be the only caster of the group and I ask of you /tg/ how do build a thematic curse/frog based character? I can use anything on the SRD but the character must be human for setting reasons. It's easy to build a caster or debuffer but I really want to drive home those two themes.
>>53081236
Make a witch or a druid. Or both
>>53081253
Druid definitely has the frog theme down with the domain or companion but how well do druids curse/debuff? Never played one before. Witches seem to be really good at cursing everything around them from what I see. Are there any other classes or archetypes I should be looking at?
>>53082310
I've never looked too deeply into druid spells to see what they can do for debuffing but witch is definitely where its at if you wanna debuff a mother fucker.
How would you combine "traditional fantasy world" with "toxic wastelands"?

to make a long story short, I need to murder an NPC in my party, a lvl 2 aasimar cleric. She has the strong allegiance of a dragon born barbarian and she just needs to go. I'm a teifling scorcerer, also level 2. I just need any ideas on how I can off her.

Be creative.
Our group needed to kill a local bad guy, that had guards stronger than we were.
We ended up killing him by spooking a team of horses pulling a load of logs, into crushing him on the street.
No muss, no fuss.
We're going into a goblin cave with support beams all around. If I can get her to delve deeper than I, I can burn the support beams and bring the mountain down on her head. I've been trying to figure out how to make her go in ahead of the party.

Anti-depressants that actually make you happy, rather than balancing out your mood. When you're content with life, corporate marketing is less likely to work, as you feel whole with not only yourself, but your fellow man, thus you're unlikely to try to "keep up with the Jones's" or buy products that will not make you happy. As such, corporates have blackballed the production of such drugs. Happy drugs are now produced in labs that have dubious standards, some of these products intentionally contain addictive elements to force a person to continuously take the product, some of them demand a high price for just a single dose. Happy drugs may cause sudden emotional melt-downs in people that have lost touched with their inner most dreams, and desires, leading to cyberpsychosis-like states when the happy feeling goes away.

Users can think and command networked devices at the significantly faster speed of the lace, but it degrades neuronal efficacy with repeated use. Hey, I got this from my Grandma. I think it's magical, but what'll hatch I have no idea. Who would pay more for it, the Alchemists or the Druids?
Alchemists. Druids are faggots.

That's a Happiness Stone, you hold onto it while you're happy and it stores up your excess mirth. When it's full, it should glow with a faint light and feel like it's been left out in the sun all day, and when you break it releases a gas that elicits a euphoric sensation. You can sell the powder, which produces a much stronger sensation of being happy, on the black market as a drug.

FORTIFYING THIS THREAD!

>grim darkness
Why they don't use more lights?
First I wanted to create a "what if" setting for DH, RT, BC and OW. This changes but so many things where I am wondering whether I should not immediately create an own setting.
The what if questions are.
>No Fall of the Eldar. Instead, a giant Civil War between reformer and conservatives.
>No primarchs and Space Marines. Sort of. The idea was that the imperium must use a lot more diplomacy and can not crush everything militarily.
Thoughts?
>>53079050
Boring and lame. Pre-fall eldar would wipe the floor with a fledgling Imperium. The eldar also go from arguably tragic to utterly marry-sue.
>>53079531
This. Without Primarchs and SPESS MEHRINES the Imperium is pretty much fucked, fragmented and weak. You might as well have all humans be slave labor for the Eldar.
>>53079531
>>53079549
That was the idea of Civil Wars. So they are a "almost" dying race, not a dying race.
But I am open to other ideas. I just want the eldar to be more present.
