So CMON and Dark Sword are doing a SoIaF wargame. Starter set will be Stark vs. Lannister with more houses in the future.
They did an interview that's pretty lengthy, but it gives a good amount of details. Also the models look pretty damn nice. Maybe once they put out Greyjoy or Targaryn I'd be more tempted to jump in, but so far looks fairly promising.

tl;dr - how to handle character death with first-time players
I'm going to be running a campaign this summer with players who are almost all entirely new to the RPGs. Given that they all seem pretty attached to their characters (it's their first character, after all!), I'm worried about what would happen if any of the PCs were to die, especially in a not-particularly-dramatic way. My friends are all really mature, so it's not like I'm worried they're going to flip out on me, or anything, just that I'm trying to make sure their introduction to RPGs is a good time, and I'm worried it would be a downer that might turn them off the hobby if their character gets killed.
Anybody have any experience with this that could offer any tips? Am I just overthinking it, and it won't be a big deal at all? How did you feel the first time one of your characters died?

I have them differ from city to city depending on what themes I want to use.
Crime filled city? Corrupt as fuck.
Holy city? Buncha paladins.

2nd for "my army is no longer playable." Nerfing summoning was obviously needed to make Word Bearers in line with Death Guard...plus I imagine most this list will be illegal due to GW not making models for it/there being no more formations/Warlord traits. I'm going to miss Warlord Psyker Defiler.

So, I found the Tomb King army book, and the Armies created by "Nehekharan Legion" seem really really small. Like just going all mook gets you 250 skeleton soldiers at more. Spending 300 CP on a 3,000 point 'Grand Army'... of 750 Skeletons. When spending that 300 CP on a Tomb lets you have a 'Tomb Army' that starts at a size of Thousands at the smallest size and goes up from there, AND includes a mixed army list of horses, chariots, various golems and such.
Is each miniature you buy with the Nehekharan Legion option supposed to be more then one body in real life, like that 4 point Skeleton Warrior represents a unit of 50 skeleton warriors? Right now the option specifically for getting an army is inferior to taking a tomb with an army add-on.
(Also, is the Legion subject to the 'Needs a Priest to function' rule? Because it is mentioned both in the Jump and Army Book, but Priests are Heroes or Lords and forbidden to buy as part of the Nehekharan Legion)
