Why are all forgeworlds models better than gamesworkshops?

Delusion.

Because the dust that come off them from filing mould lines can cause cancer.
It's the price you have to pay.
Greetings,
I was wondering if any of you fine gentlemen can point me in the direction of a good Power armor RPG. Me and my group tried Armored Decent but the rules are a mess so decided to change. I was considering making the rules for it in the DH rules-set but that can prove to be near impossible due to the levels of power involved.
If you can't point me to anythingthat is not GURPScan you at least give some advice on the rules for the PA?
>power armor RPG
>DH doesn't have power armour
????
Savage Worlds' Sci-fi Companion has rules for creating pretty tough Heinlein-style power armour suits that can still die.
Alternately 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars might work.
Do you expect characters to be out of power armor?
Cause you could just take any RPG with "more powerful than human" characters and say "but you are actually in powerarmor".
>>53439907
GURPS is rather good for it. Ultra-tech has a lot of examples of power armour by tech level, though in general they could use a bit more armour.
They work quite simply. As an item, it grants various stat boosts, then armour, environment control, and a lot of technological devices.
As an advantage, you build it for yourself as a gadget. That lets you have greater control of statting it up - but it depends on the genre if it's appropriate. Better for something like Iron Man or Guyver than Starship Troopers.
Transhuman Space: Wings of the Rising Sun had some fun orbital-drop (rescue) troopers.
Oh, the spoiler was no-GURPS...
Well, this was a waste of advice...
I am going to do a fantasy campaign with NO HUMANS for a change, since i did mostly only humans before.
What are some ideas for humanoid races to use? I'd want to go with 3 or 4 main families, each having a number of variations.
pls no Human +1 elf bullshittery.
Bird people living up in the mountains and worshipping the sun, tough beetle people down in the mountains that're awesome blacksmiths, forest barbarian elk people with big horns and bad attitudes, and then of course plants.
Families, huh?
Artificials (golems - abandoned by their creators, some made to kill, some made to do gardening, etc), Narture-people (plant and beast-men, probably without even the -men part), Evolved Ones (take a smart animal and make it smarter - bee empire-builders, crow nomads, dolphin barbarians...), Magic Ones (elementals and shiet)
Am i going too far?
>>53439839
no, this is pretty good.
I didnt think about going this far in the first place with families, but it seems to be better than what i had in mind
Get past the hellhounds and reach the other end!
You can move once and shoot once on your turn. Your marines (blue m) have range 2, but they can only fire upwards, and move 1 tile to adjacent squares but not diagonals.
>>53439764
marine from d1 to d2
>>53439784
>marine from d1 to d2
a hellhound moves from b7 to a6
>>53439764
And how do the hellhounds move and attack?
How bad would Wotc fuck up an Urza planeswalker card? How would you balance it?
>>53439457
>How bad would Wotc fuck up an Urza planeswalker card?
Looking at Ludevic and the other shit they've done lately: very.
>>53439457
>How would you balance it?
Rezurrect Urza without his memories and make him a colorless walker to mirror his lack of a solid personality.
Boom, now he's at neowalker power levels AND has a reason for it.
>>53441300
urza was always pretty blue. i would probably make him jeskai.
2URW
Planeswalker - Urza
+1: each player draws a card and then sacrifices a creature
-2: discard a card and deal damage to target creature equal to that cards converted mana cost
-6: you get an emblem that says "you may sacrifice permanents your opponents control and discard cards in their hands instead of your own"
Loyalty: 4
I'm looking for character art of guards, watchmen, police, or lawkeepers of any kind in a fictional setting. I'm looking for something around the industrial era - bonus points for whatever-punk - but anything will do, since I'm looking for uniforms/colour schemes in particular.
The law of the land isn't exactly benevolent, either, so if you've got a gang of mercenaries or thugs keeping order, that counts too.
Keep looking, faggot
>>53439946
Epic.
I have no idea what races to use.
Humans only.
>>53439041
Standard fantasy races, but they all have cat ears and are lolis.
>Captcha: Police avenue
>>53439041
What's your setting like?
If it's a typical high-fantasy familiar setting, go with the classics that everyone knows. If its focused on something else, like going to bizarre and wondrous places, choose a smattering of completely different races.
Alternatively, just pick the 4 or 5 that you think are coolest and move onto the parts of the setting that the players will actually pay attention to.
How would you feel if your DM introduced the classic Sesame Street Bridgekeeper as a minor recurring antagonist in your games?
Quotes:
"STOP! I AM THE BRIDGEKEEPER. *thunderclap* Anyone crossing by my border must do EXACTLY as I order."
"NO ONE crosses this bridge by me unless they can answer my questions three."
"To cross the bridge is completely free, but you must play a tune to pass by me."
"Any shape like a circle you carry today must be eaten... or thrown away."
>>53437514
>"Any shape like a circle you carry today must be eaten... or thrown away."
>looks at saucer grenade
>looks at Bridgekeeper

You gave me an idea for a plot hook:
>The party is a group of Evil characters who have meddled in the affairs of the just for the last time.
>Just when they believed they were on the verge of conquering the world, the calvary arrived and beat their asses, Death claiming their long-overdue souls.
>And he is pissed, so much so that he's not willing to take deals.
>They are given a series of trials by Death, separated by impassable trenches.
>Once the characters have fought to the next bridge across, Death gives them each one requirement they must uphold in their next trial or face a permanent debuff corresponding to their crime.
>For imposing cruelty on others in life, the party must face cruel punishment and temptation in death.
>Defy Death three times and the next time you will not be able to cross the bridge, stranding you eternally in hellish loneliness and silence.
>>53437514
>NO ONE crosses this bridge by me
>NO ONE
Entire party crosses at once.

Redpill the fuck out of me on d20 Modern. How does it work?
>>53436653
No. System is shit, even for d20.
>>53436675
why?
>>53436653
Imagine taking the d20 system as a base, and then slapping it into a modern setting with little regard for how silly this is. It has a couple interesting ideas (I kind of like how wealth was handled, though it's still clunky), but it's bogged down by the sheer ridiculousness that it can lead to. Guns deal damage, and we have scaling health per-usual. Meat points are all well and good, but suspension of disbelief can be pushed when you repeatedly land your shots on a dude and he isn't even slowed down.
How about an elf art thread? Preferably male, because people only ever post female elves
I'll semi contribute with a female elf because the one in the OP was the only male one I had
Pic-related, I've recently been playing through New Vegas and I want to run a game set in sort of a similar universe, with similar themes and such. I know there are other games that kind of fit but I can't recall the names as of right now. Anybody got suggestions? The system doesn't have to be a 100% perfect mechanical recreation, but I'd prefer a game erring more on the simpler side. Thanks in advance /tg/.

Considering fallout was based off GURPS and there is a fallout expansion online that would be the best place to start
JE Sawyer made a tabletop system for fallout. It's literally called JE Sawyer's Tabletop Fallout RPG or something.
>>53435948
Its pretty bad. We had a player with a bat that did more than an anti tank rifle on hit. Its a direct adaption from the game.
Why are guns in Pathfinder so weak?
Also, is this fix okay?
>when shot with a gun you make save vs. instant death
>if you make a save, it's 4d20 damage, ignoring armor
I feel like this will make guns more realistic. Any thoughts?
>>53435702
>Why are guns in Pathfinder so weak?
because realism only matters when it's not magic.
>Also, is this fix okay?
I'd go deeper. You get shot with a gun, you die. No save, no damage, just die.
>>53435840
Go even deeper. You get hit with a gun, the GM pulls a gun from under the table and shoots you IRL.
>>53436088
Finally a fix for path finder.
Explain this faulty, unstable design Guillibaes.

Actual answer tho:
It's shaped like an unstable lanky bastard because Eldar are shaped like unstable lanky bastards.
Easy of piloting, since the ghosts are already familiar with unstable lanky bastardry.
As to why Eldar are shaped like unstable lanky bastards...
