Although Yip appeared in the movie, the movie itself focuses on the sentiments of Kung-Fu which is alright till around the end when it becomes rather stale. one of my complaint would be, without going in to spoilers, is that alot of characters act out of realism. like they go about doing something in a totally farfetched way, even though the ending itself tries to deliver a more realistic closing.

Ridiculously unrealistic fight scenes. Main selling point of this movie in the first place was that famous Chinese actors are in this movie. The plot is good in terms of creativity, but progressed too slowly and closed off much too soon only being poorly justified by a bad plot device (conveniently death). Romance in the plot was boring and cliché (woman falls for wrong man).
Despite it's rating, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you like a mix of romance and martial arts.

In a modern and awesome (the places depicted really exists) Taiwan scenery, watch youngsters getting into a gang. This is a realistic movie about mafia and triads, well-shot with good actors. More people went to see this movie on the first week of release than for Avatar.

This movie should be called "How to fuck everything up everytime". Holy shit, it was frustrating to see the characters doing all the wrong choices everytime, but I think that was the intention.
The ending felt forced tough. I could almost hear the director saying "Heh... wasn't expecting that right? I played you like a fiddle"

yes, it just takes 5 seconds to google what we might be interested in
but given the fact that all we have going for each film is the title and the poster image, we would have to google almost every one of these just to determine whether we would like it
"oh, this poster image has scribbles on it as the title, i cant read chinese, japanese, korean, etc but the way the 'letters' wiggle around makes me want to download this"
"oh this poster image is black and white, maybe its an old film -- i dont like old films"
"oh the title is A werewolf boy ... maybe this is just a remake of marty mcfly's movie"
"oh, the title is 'like someone in love' but the asian lady is in a yellow taxi, its probably the story of an illegal immigrant in new york"
we know nothing of these films to know enough whether we would like it or not
so we end up googling every single one of these
