More info about TTC:
The Great Courses is the brand applied by The Teaching Company, a Chantilly, Virginia company, to its recordings of lectures by university professors and high-school teachers. It sells the courses in CD, MP3, DVD, and MPEG-4 download and streaming formats.

As of 2013 TTC offers more than 450 courses, which span more than 10,000 hours of content across several subject categories: business and economics, fine arts, music, ancient and medieval history, modern history, literature and English language, philosophy and intellectual history, religion, science, mathematics, social sciences, and better living.

Course offerings are targeted to adult education and life-learners; there is also a series for high school students. Courses are not verbatim recordings of college lectures, but rather are developed by The Teaching Company in conjunction with the professor to fit the chosen medium. Video versions of courses include graphics and green screen effects. Courses also include supplemental booklets with outlines of the individual lectures, recommended reading lists, general bibliographies, and questions to consider. Full printed transcripts are also available.

Was this originally on tpb? TTC does a bangup job keeping an eye on their digital material and I've heard from comments on several lectures available online that people have run into trouble after downloading these.
Like what? Learning Algebra the wrong way?
Yes it was from tpb, and about the problems, to not having learning material is already a problem, a big one.
I wished than intellectual appropriation be erased, is the responsible of and cultural and technological stagnation, always. Not to mention the responsible for the gap between rich and poor.
KhanAcademy.org, Just saying
I got this one too

Is TTC highschool basic math, but doesnt have much seed thou

Haha, no more like getting a strike or getting contacted by an isp.

It's unfortunate, but TTC does a really good job presenting the material, and for them quality ought to come with a price. Torrenting can obviously be a form of protest against that, it can simply be a method of obtaining the information, or maybe both. Idk, I'm just trying to let people know what i've heard.

Not to mention, for math and science, this is a great alternative.
ISP? I ain't afraid of isp. Who do you take me for? Where do you think I was born? What am I gonna run around like some teeny bopper somewhere for someone elses money? I make the money man, I roll the nickels. The game is mine.

>Torrenting can obviously be a form of protest
Why not just get access to private Elearning trackers? Also TTC is good but most of their courses are just useless information that wont get you anywhere in the real world. But knowledge is power I guess so here are some popular search terms to use on usenet/torrent sites/warez sites.

>CBT Nuggets, Lynda.com, infiniteskills, infosec, video2brain, educator.com, VTC, Total Training.

Have Fun!
>TTC is good but most of their courses are just useless
make your mind dude
I am at 100%, SEEDING
Guys, while I keep seeding could you seed this for me

>Gun Folder

>Anarchy Folder
shout out to this nigga
My connection failed, I AM SEEDING AGAIN.

I meant that our people sould encourage attitudes like posting magnet links of this noble rank that enliven /t, my dear interwebz friend.
Is there anything more advanced than this or on different subjects? Not to bash OP too much, but if you actually get anything from this besides a quick refresher you probably underage as shit.
intelligent thing to say anon
The 1st real episode covered order of operations, but he never once mentioned brackets or any of the more complex stuff like (3^2+5^3)^4 or square roots. Unless you are struggling to pass your 10th grade algebra finals I fail to see were these videos would help you.

Anyone getting any seeds on the anarchy folder??? I am showing nothing.
Let it a whole day. It has its peaks and valleys.
Ohhh I c, thumbs up my friend
You got a good point sir
Same problem dude, just do as says >>568200

Yah, so its been sitting on my box for 2 days now, 2 different boxes actually, still nothing. is it me?
Hang out good sir, we will have that served.
Wait, you say nothing during two days? Okay, you may have connection problems.
After reading the thread I'm still looking foward to this torrent and its knowledge. I'm planning on going back to college for a second major next year and I'll need to take some math courses.

Even though this is too basic for some of you, for a math retard like me this is just perfect.

Will try to find and download that too, if there its out there.
I watched the TTC on Calculus. While its great, Im not used to their style of digital displays....I would prefer them to stick to chalk boards/whiteboards. its much easier to follow.
Kind sir, if you have a link to the calculus one we will much appreciate that.

your efforts are appreciated

First time /t/ has a thread like this.
because most people smart enough to want to use these know how to use a tracker.

Go type "TTC" into any of them and you will find about 100 of these lectures on many subjects.
I dunno how to use trackers, this is fine for me.
you dont know how to use a search engine?
Oh, you mean that kind of tracker, silly billy.

No, I think he meant private tracker websites. Not google. The private trackers have search engines. I just checked one that I use, and it has like 50 things for TTC videos.
I prefer not to pay for a private tracker, but day after day that shows more appealing.
Just imagine how many stuff in there.

>ACTUAL practices with explanations.
It really helped me throughout the year. Try it out /t/.

DISCLAIMER: If looking for history or anything else, I don't know much on how this site will be really helpful. I never tried that section yet. However, the Math and Science section is amazing.
Not amazing.

What they lack is order.

Friend of ours wanted to learn calculus while he was in year 10.

He went on khan academy and looked for stuff that he thought was calculus, things that he "heard" was in calc.

TTC is really well structured. They have good order to their videos.

Make no mistake, KA is great.

Use both.
Are you me? That is exactly what I've found about TTC, it has order so is easy to follow.
>Haha, no more like getting a strike or getting contacted by an isp.

Thank you very much for this. <3
I'm 24 and heading back to college to pursue a higher level education. I need to start somewhere and its best to start now whilst I'm ahead of time.

Going to make my way through the math & chemistry videos. They may not cover everything however I definitely think they will be a valuable asset along with my text books.

Thank you guys for these invaluable resources. I normally only pop up around here for 'fapping' material.

Will continually seed all torrents. Have a large bandwidth. Enjoy and thanks again anons!
you should check calculus as well, its one of the hardest things.
good luck with the higger education
I've downloaded & am seeding,

TTC Video - High School - Chemistry
TTC Video Scientific Secrets for self-control
TTC Video - Algebra II
TTC Video - Algebra I
TTC Video - High School Geometry

Are their anymore on mathematics?

I'm going to make my way through Alegbra 1 & 2 before touching on calculus. I have studied calculus in the past however it has been a long time.

Thanks again anon!
anything on statistics?
Math belongs on the front page.
yes it does
i love you
Going to be enrolling in the second semester of college soon. I'm going to need the math refresher. Thanks OP. Hope this thread stays around for a while
Anyone know when new TTC video will be release?
Or where is the best place to get new TTC
I only checked the piratebay
Fucking spectacular thread. This will take me days to download but I don't even care. I fucking love you guys.

Magnet links are simply just urls/links. Click em on your offline html and it'll load your torrent program regardless if this was the original thread on 4chan with another browser.
i wanted to keep this thread bumped so that if i ever have questions while im watching the videos id ask op. then i realized that this thread is over half of a year old. my guess is that the guys who posted the magnet links are no longer monitoring this thread so the bumping would be pointless. also now that i know how old the posts are im not even sure if i will be able to find seeders even after i return to school.
Staying alive
Very glad this thread survived. Too bad about the language one.
Does anyone have a Physics course?
any new content guys?

Not that I can tell. Wish I could contribute.

This is going to take a long time.

L-language one?

That's what interests me...

What was inside t he language one?
It's started out with a japanese course and develop to a nice thread with a lot of good stuff and tips.
Too bad 'bout the devastation /t suffered. Somebody knows what happened?

Do you still have the links?
IDK what level you're at, but if you're a beginner, I cannot recommend these two enough.

you guys realize that there are things like Codeacademy.org, MIT OpenCourseWare, UDACITY, and motherfucking coursera. also that these books can be found everywhere, especially in "the" library
first off this^
Yes, but I still prefer having it as a torrent. Khanacademy is an example: the downloads there have random filenames.
I started making a torrent from the calculus videos with proper filenames. And yes, it takes time to download, renaming all the 385 videos they have now in that section.
I'm sure that there will be more than 1 downloader when i post it here.

Stanford's youtube channel usually have subtitles, but with awful timings. And not just like +1 sec everywhere, so you have to fix them by hand.

Some of the old MIT's OpenCourseWare videos suffer from audio noise...

Udacity have payed courses too, some of them are terrible, some of them are awesome. These torrents make sure you dont throw hundreds of dollars out of the window.

TTC courses: I have to enlighten you, but not every library have them outside the US. Not to mension that DVD readers are usually slow, bulky, loud, and you dont have it in your phone.

theRAWRRRbay is one of the best libraries in the world, and thank you all for contributing!
I want to Rip all the BigThink paid videos.
They have a trial period to view all their content.
Whats the best apps?
Currently no apps work with the lastest version of firefox.
This thread has restored my faith in humanity. I love you people.
Well, half a year ago i tried all the web rippers I have found through the internet. The only useful ones were httrack and Visual Web Ripper.
Tip: Visual Web Ripper uses Internet Explorer, so if you log-in with IE, you can start ripping with VWR, you dont have to learn the login procedure.

And if nothing works, not even the Firefox Downloadhelper plugin, you can try the Opera browser version (12.16 or earlier, downloadable from ftp.opera.com), search in the cache and save it from there.
I find FlashGot tends to get every video I've tried to rip so far.

what about Wget or HTTrack?
Thanks to both of you, if I'm sucessuf, I will upload on tpb.
Lots of useful stuff on there.
When and why you lost you faith?
You should reason that faith, ok?
try this way to rip videos guys

its a way to intercept where flash videos now that most viewers stray away from the method that we could intercept in the cahce

Is there one for Latin?
Oh shit, that would be a good one. I'd love to learn Latin.
There is, find it on tpb
i finally finished my calculus course it was quite useful thanks :)

Why is it better than coursera or the other tens of free math videos around?
can someone post or recommend a good economics lecture?
these arent free. well, they are not supposed to be anyways. also lectures are a preference. many different ways to deliver information. some you will like some you wont. you need to try them and see for yourself whether or not it matches your preferred learning style.
yes please! or econometrics stuff
may i ask what university is this ?
it's basically the best professors providing us with great interesting lectures that make their material shine

So i've been working through this (i have to do an advanced maths text for a job i'm applying for and i never attempted senior math at school) and it's great information, but where are the answers for the workbook? it shows the problems for each lession, but no answer sheet to check the answers?
There one with the Trig/precalc one that has answers starting at 163. I don't seem to have the workbooks with the Alg 1/2 videos though, so I couldn't tell you.

man, this guy is awesome.
I watched one at around 11pm last night and could stop watching and taking notes and before I knew it, it was 7am.
This is going to help tons.
I have not done any math since 2010 and decided I wanted to get into community college this spring term. I did terrible on the placement test. I was also a bit late for classes and only crappy ones were left. Will study these to get a better score on the placement test on fall term.

All I need now is a bit of english lectures.

I scored a 27 and was recommended math 260b arithmetic review/fractions
Something funny?

The TTC took the longest, so I'll post this here.

What did you use to make your picture?
Have you guys seen this video series called "Body for Hire" teaching you how to be a bodyguard? The segment where they explain dining at a fancy restaurant with the person you're guarding is pretty hilarious. They literally go through proper dining etiquette and everything.

Already on Khan, +1, skip the basic things and you're ready for first-second year of uni.

I'll add this to my science n' shit folder, I'm doing an engineering but I'm interested in biology too.

I'll take a look, catchy title.

I'm glad /t/ has threads like this, I just came by chance.

lets keep the seeding going
Actually Khan Academy has changed quite a bit. If you go to the website - not the YouTube channel, but khanacademy.com - go to the math section and make an account, you can take a quick assessment, and the site will automatically set up a course for whatever sort of math you want to study, that's tailored to you. It's gotten a lot better.

But you're right - it's probably best to use both.
>waah, people should do shit for me for free!!

Are you people fucking serious?
>I should have to pay some company for knowledge and information
No, you fucking idiots. I shouldn't even have to pay to go to college, I shouldn't need to take out loans to afford to purchase the latest piece of shit textbook that only slightly varies from the last version. If you think that anybody has a right to commercialize and profit by withholding knowledge and learning materials from free public use, you are what is wrong with the world. How can you even rationalize this to yourself? Some company spends a very minimal amount of time and resources to make a video recording of a teacher or professor, and just because this otherwise free information was recorded onto a digital medium people should have to pay just to view it? All education should be free to anyone who seeks to learn and improve their lives, maybe that way there would be a few less ignorant fucks like you.
Wow, you're retarded. If you want free knowledge, go to your local public library. If you want somebody to spend their time and effort teaching that knowledge to you, then expect to compensate them. Cool your entitlement down a notch, kid.
Greatest thread of /t/ now. Way better than lurking /sci/
Currently this and most other math torrents are in my seedbox.

Anyone have any Photoshop tutorials they want me to seed?
Wow. Love this thread. If the videos are seriously helpful i am so acing my a levels

Quick question. I'm not from the US, but I've seen mentions about Algebra X (X being a number), is that a real classification or what? In what year is that usually taught? 9th grade?
