The best sports anime of all time? As a genuine sports fan who casually wathed anime i neve really liked the dumb ass sports animes that were one but this really got me.

Yes, most sports anime are trash and not really about sports. Ping Pong gets to the heart of what it means to compete on a high level and the nature of playing sports. If you've ever played sports for real you probably relate to just about every character in the show in a different way.
