i went to the parade and someone next to me started screaming "I NEED A COP I LOST MY DAUGHTER"
your stories from the royals parade today?
>be in bed
>mom asks if I want to go to parade
>tell her no because fuck the Royals and tell her Fairweather Seahawks/lions/Cardinals/Royals ass that you only started caring about the Royals 1 month ago
That's my story
I noticed several things.
there was a nigger every 5 feet selling bootleg t-shirts.
The cops almost immediately realized they were in over their head and this was a bad idea.
i estimate over 100 people were forced to touch my ass.
The shuttles were beyond fucked. I cant imagine how many of those drivers killed themselves yesterday.
Crown Center was packed to the top with people waiting for the crowds to die down... they never did.
Eric Hosmer seriously gets all the teenaged girls moist. God damn there were a lot of sluts there in Hosmer shirts wanting their tits signed.
All of the homeless people were seriously wondering what the fuck was going on with all these white people trampling them.
I had a blast from my room at the hyatt.
I was indeed. I couldn't even get out of the city until 9pm shit was fucked. They said in the radio the expected 250,000 people to show up. There were well over 500k I guarantee it.
I went. They were not prepared, I don't think the city is big enough. Almost no water, no food, no way to see the parade. Traffic became LA tier and nobodys phones worked. It was a nightmare.
Drove through downtown last night around 3. They were still cleaning shit up. Businesses were still trashed. One estimate was 800,000 people showed up.
Yeah, it was full of bandwagon fans but fuck that, I'd never miss that parade for my life. Watched off 10th & Oak with my closest friends, refer to them as the Seventy Three Cents Crew, for the time we literally bought tickets online for that much with fees for a last series of the year game against Detroit a few years back, pissing down rain miserable.
Had a blast, applauded Dayton Moore for assblasting Moneyball nerds til the end of time, even applauded Ned. Fucker's gonna get a statue in KC one day. Avoided the mess at Union Station & had some beers at Harry's CC then a slice at Minsky's.
Had to park all the way in NKC though so had to walk the HOA Bridge to and fro, that sucked but all worth it. Probably never going to get this again in my life, making the most of it.
Was Don Denkinger there?
Nice to see KC win one legit. The parade crowds looked immense.
Royals did legit win in 1985. That play didn't even decide the game, same as Bartman not losing the 2003 NLCS for the Cubs. The Cards just self imploded and soon realized they were a team full of assholes and egos. Just go watch game 7 to realize that there sonny.
its hardly a riot. we burn furniture on the street and garbage and shit but its all in good fun and there aren't usually any fights or destroying of personal property or anything.
Me and most of my buds shipped in from St. Louis to get some fresh Royals gear and see our favorite player Mike Moustakas! It was great! The whole city of St. Louis was rooting for you guys, Cardsbros and Royalsbros in the same season? Haha it's true!
Go Royals, haha, but Go Cards a little bit more! St. Louis got your back Royalsbros!
Fuck you, dick. St. Louis has a long history of supporting the Royals as their American League team. We aren't ashamed of that. I can speak for everyone in the classy city of St. Louis when I say "Let's Go Royals"!
>Royals did legit win in 1985.
I can speak for all of St. Louis when I say this is long behind us. We're the classiest fans in baseball and we know how to lose the right way. Most of us here in The STL were full-on cheering for Eric Hosmer and the gang to win the World Series.
It was real good to see them win, bring another ring home to Missouri. Cardsbros and Royalsbros united for this win!
I didn't go.. But I'm not a Royals fan. I thought about throwing on the Royals shirt I got for free at a game a few years ago and acting like I've been a fan my entire life. Seems to be working well for everyone else.
This off season is going to be torture.
No.. No, NO!
Royals fans would never cheer for STL. They HATE us. I remember sitting at a bar in Lawrence watching the 2011 World Series and these 3 homos in Billy Butler shirts were loudly rooting for the Rangers.
kiss the ring you stupid bitch
This behavior is unbecoming. Maybe if you were classy, like the city of St. Louis, and you could cheer on more than one team, you wouldn't have so much hate in your heart.
St. Louis has the best fans in any sport. That's a fact. We know how to cheer for the winning team, even if it isn't our own. Hell sometimes we cheer for the away team if we're getting outplayed, we're just that dang classy, and knowledgeable.
Go Royals, from St. Louis.
We have several of our own to kiss.
Easy to talk from a Unified Kingdom poster. Here in St. Louis we have the best town and fans in any sport. We know a lot about sports here. I don't think you guys can even match up with our sports knowledge, sorry.
Boise is truly shit tier. I don't even have anything against it, its just an objective fact.
Beautiful natural scenery but as soon as you start seeing people its just meth, ignorance, and tea party everywhere
I am well aware of the St Louis knowledge of sports (and not just American sports). In fact, I find it quite intimidating, and that's the only reason I put Boise ahead of St Louis. Out of fear.
Maybe there's crossover between Royals fans and wrestling fans. Or Patriots fans.
