Give me something to read
Rodgers is still the greatest quarterback in the game
How does your team's chances look next week /sp/?
Jags look like they might have a chance since the Jets secondary keeps getting exposed.
>do nothing for 3 quarters
>throw 2 picks just for the fuck of it
>Kuechly and the defense keep you in the game
>put together a competent drive in the 4th to win the game
>OMG HE'S SO ELITE
literally Russell Wilson v2.0. Except that Wilson has a Super Bowl ring and Cam never will
Very confident that I will not be shoving a football up my ass next Sunday.
>4th worst defense in football
>vs the 4th best offense in football
>worst offense in football
>with no Vernon Davis, no Reggie Bush, no Carlos Hyde, no Kaepernick
>vs a top 10 defense
This is the easiest game on the schedule by far. If they somehow lose this because of turnovers I'm fucking done.
>somehow lose this because of turnovers
Exactly, now you're fucking getting it. I mean think about it, It's not too farfetched to envision a situation where the Falcons have to attempt another 4th quarter comeback because they dicked around for 3 quarters and come up short this time.
Yeah the Bucs are better than the 49ers but this game is still a toss up senpai desu roodypoo
I really stress this, but the Falcons have just been unlucky lately.
Sounds lame as fuck but it's true.
They haven't recovered one of their own fumbles in like 5-6 games. That's uncanny. They had 2 redzone fumbles last week, one was a strange botched snap that bounced weird and right to a buccaneer, then another was a botched handoff that bounced crooked and away from Freeman just as he was about to scoop it up and get to the end zone.
Shit was totally infuriating but it can't last. Unless they're cursed or something idk
>Except Tolbert did shit in 2014
Might as well just say "I'm actually a woman who owns a few jerseys but has never watched a full game in my life." He was the best FB in the League after he came back.
The Oakland Raiders are easily one of the best all time teams, they've had 3 decades of success and 2 more of great seasons. This team just needs their coach to turn things around, Jack Del Rio will take us to our promised land : a winning season, Carr will lead the AFC WEST in pass yards and TDs, Amari Cooper will lead all rookies in touchdowns and receptions, Khalil Mack will lead us in Sacks and hurries and Charles Woodson will snag at least 5 more picks! Can a team be any greater? No, there's no team better than the Oakland Raiders, just telling it like it is /sp/.
>have just been unlucky lately
We're not interested in your gay love life
Tolbert isn't a TB.
>getting hyped for his teammates
>running an offense that will measurably shorten his career, threaten his health, and suppress his passing ability
>somehow indicative of selfishness
>There isnt a single QB Stat that doesnt include rushing that Newton is better than Russell in
Wilson is better in rushing this season, he has more total yards and more ypc. I'm pretty sure that Kaepernick has better rushing stats too
>eddie debartolo becomes a real mafioso and quietly arranges for the entire york family to die violently
>denise confronts him in a final godfather like scene at 49ers HQ and he denies it
>eddie lures jim harbaugh back after he chokes trying to get a natty again
>and they draft
CODY KESSLER
I'm sure it's fine
>greentexting things that are true and hoping no one will notice
Yo, it's over dog just end yourself.
Actually, the Cardinals have fumbled more than any other team but they've just had good fumble luck.
Not saying the Falcons are totally free of blame, but if the Falcons had just recovered one of those 2 fumbles as odds suggest, they would have won.
Here's a good statistical analysis on it, it's interesting.
not the guy your arguing with, but yes, cam is a meme quarterback
...and hes 7-0
...and hes getting better.

lol, another cocksucking maddenbabby imbecile. the overwhelming majority of Newton's carries are designed runs.
>Yeah Carolinas FO totally didnt give him that beastly defense surrounding him right now
No, Rivera and his coaching staff did that. They cobbled the defense together last year because they were forced to. And as soon as Norman, Short, etc come up for big paydays they'll be gone because that's how the FO chooses to operate.
>I honestly dont get why you cant just accept the fact that cam newton is a fucking meme QB
Well, primarily because that's not even what is being discussed.
You still haven't explained what the fuck his mediocre play the first few games has to do with Stewart beast modeing Carolina to the playoffs
>If his tall ass would stop overthrowing people
Which will never happen. Dude could be given 5 Scott Chandlers and still overthrow half his passes resulting in 2 chandlers rib injuries and 1 guaranteed interception.
the meme quarterback with the meme arm did the meme back foot throw to greg for td, meme throw to philly brownfor a td, meme throws to jericho cotchery for first downs and the meme throw to ted ginn that should have ended the game.
he is a giant meme, im not disagreeing with you.
....but the meme qb is 7-0
and he is getting better.
>corners that low
>guards that high
>rb that high in todays NFL
>kicker that low when numerous lickers are blowing games for teams on a weekly basis
>hating on long snappers for not reason
How do you guys feel about my QB rankings?
Going against the Clots where Peyton will break a record in the city that abandoned him. It's going to be fucking glorious.
Tony Romo is way too high for a quarterback that has won two playoff games in thirteen years.
I'm actually going to be in Indiana for the Colts and Broncos game because I have to go see my mother. Pretty sure my brother in-law has tickets for us to go to the game too. I'll be rooting for the Broncos.
>So you actually just flat out admitted that they rely on newton running the ball more than they do throwing it
Actually he throws the ball like 4-5x as often as he runs, so you're even incorrect on just a basic, technical level.
>and he's not even the best rusher on that team
He is though, but he doesn't get to showcase it fulltime because he has to play 2 positions.
Stewart is clearly the best rusher. I've never seen Cam Newton actually shake off defenders. He just kinda falls forward.
The only reason he gets the yards that he does is because he takes off when defenders are 10-15 yards down the field in coverage.
TOP 10 NFL POSITION POWER RANKINGS NON-RETARDED EDITION
5. C / OL
100000000. LONG SNAPPER
Tom Brady may be hated but he's a the true standard for what a QB should be. Too many idiots say it's about the arm and scrambling but I honestly feel the ability to read a defense is the most important skill a QB needs.
Every newly drafted QB should go through an academy that teaches defense reading because there's far too many shit qbs that rely on star receivers or their own scrambling to get anything done.
.5 solid games
>was in rotation coming off injury prior to bye week
>went ham the remaining games
>>I am silly
You are silly.
>supporting cast gets worse every year
Except this year is the only season it's been bad and Olsen still bails him out.
>Drew Brees is literally the best quarterback right now and ever
>The only reason he gets the yards that he does is because he takes off when defenders are 10-15 yards down the field in coverage.
Might as well just admit you've never watched him play. Majority of his runs are designed runs, mainly zone read.
>that feel when you will never have decent draft position because of how god awful the division is and will spend an eternity to one and dones in the wild card round
>"went ham the remaining games"
>3.4 ypc on 22 attempts vs Tampa in wk 14

Yes, you are extremely fucking silly.

lol, just stop m8.
>only had 1 dependable WR in his career
>OL was decent when he got there, has been atrocious the last 2 years
>Cam has to feed Olsen because he has no other receivers worth a shit
>people suddenly think Olsen is Jason Witten because of the volume of looks he gets
How do you feel about mine?
The Lions wont trade CJ but if they did Id love to see him go to the Panthers. Always liked Cam and itd be cool to see Megatron finish his career with a good team.
.4 ypc on 22 attempts vs Tampa in wk 14
.7ypc on 13 attempts vs Atlanta in wk 16
>only player on offense producing a fucking thing for 5 weeks

>not a top 3 fucking TE
The only argument you have is Benji had stone hands but it doesn't matter because he sacrificed his body snatching 50 million forced overthrown balls, their weaknesses offset.
>only player on offense producing a fucking thing for 5 weeks
Couldn't help but notice that you didn't mention when this supposedly happened.
>What happened to the oline sucking :^]
Have you never watched them? Their LT was one of the worst RTs in the League last year ffs.
>not a top 3 fucking TE
In terms of ability? He's never been top 5 at any point in his career, including now.
>doubting the Captain
>The Santa Clara TireFires
I'm a fan, and it sucks watching my team flounder, but I also can't help but laugh and watch the swagwagoners finally jump ship. I hope we lose out the rest of the way. About time this team got served humble pie. York and Baalke can eat a dick.

>>Olsen has never been a top 5 TE
lmao, you don't even know what the word means. How did I "backtrack?" How would that even be possible to do with an initial contention? You're real retarded sir.
That's not what was Implied you fucking moron.
YOU made the statement Cam had a shit oline
THEN used low ypc as an attempt to validate an already proven false point when Stewart was the player dragging them through shit by himself in that time period, awful convenient you miss his 7.0+ ypc games though.
You're backtracking, backpetalling and moving goalposts because you're incapable of admitting Cam doesn't carry the team and hasn't done shit since his EBIN rookie year half a decade ago.

You mean the ones I already mentioned?
>You're backtracking, backpetalling and moving goalposts
Can you even define any of these terms on your own? Much less provide a single example of me doing any of this. No?
>because you're incapable of admitting Cam doesn't carry the team and hasn't done shit since his EBIN rookie year half a decade ago.
Because those are both empirically false.
Undefeated teams are rolling with Legarette Blount, Dion Lewis, Ronnie Hillman, CJ Anderson, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert, Jeremy Hill, and Gio Bernard. Literally zero top 10 RBs in that group. Teams built around top RBs are average at best.

Are we going to get our shit together next week lads?
Don't even bother man these people are blatant trolls who know nothing about the Panthers. Cam set rookie passing records with no fucking offseason or training camp under based "Let's Throw Nothing But Dragons" Chudzinski. The Panthers led the league in plays of 20+ yards Cam's rookie year, but let's nevermind any of that...
Fastforward to where we have a top 5 defensive unit and we play a ball control offense that grinds down the clock with no fucking WRs to convert 3rd and longs, but let's blame them not getting separation on Newton, who has to try and fit the god damn thing in a tight window every single throw and when its picked from forcing it in it is aaaallllll his fault. His only knock is his tendancy to sail balls and sometimes holds on a little long, but that is part of the problem of not having WRs that can fucking separate, and when they do they drop the damn thing.
Brandon LeDrop...dude Panthers fans fucking celebrated the day he left. Get the fuck out of here with this shit. Sure he had some nice plays for us but that moron dropped a ton of fucking TDs and first downs over the years.
If I wake up tomorrow and the Panthers haven't traded for someone like Boldin I'm going to be so fucking pissed off because I can't see us making an Owl run with this fucking receiver group and the FO HAS to recognize this but are too fucking stingy to pull the trigger to get a surefire nigger. Instead I'll wake up and we will have Brentin fucking Bersin still on the roster...hold me Panther bros.

Thanks man, wouldn't want to see actual badass men hitting one another. That would severely trigger me.
No. Packers will lose against any half decent team and struggle to beat everyone else, finish with an overinflated record and a division title that means jack because they'll just lose in the playoffs yet again.
>mfw the Pats drop 9 in a row and miss the playoffs
The only people who whine about safety issues in football are libshits who always need something to whine about. Normal people don't give a fuck about their whining. Football will always be safe as long as the hipsters are kept in check
why is no one talking about derek carr? i'm a vikings fan and delusionally believed teddy bridgewater was as good or better than carr but holy shit, derek carr has 15 touchdowns to 3 interceptions and he's thrown for almost 1800 yards....
if he continues like this, or gets better as I predict he's going to throw for 30-35 touchdowns with 6 interceptions, and 3600-4000 yards passing
>Indy and Baltimurder getting eaten alive by the curse of deflategate
Boxing enjoyed it's heyday when the only other popular sport in the US was Baseball. Now it has to compete with the NBA, NFL, and NHL as well as the fact that boxing isn't dominated by the US anymore and it no longer has a colorful cast of characters. The Ali era was good because Ali talked a lot of shit and built up hype. The Tyson era was good because Tyson talked a lot of shit and built up hype.
Nobody. He won't be dealt unless a team is willing to give up a couple first rounders and a couple second rounders. Something along those lines. It'd have to be one hell of a deal.
Boxing wasn't as fixed in the early days, now it is like fucking crazy started en emasse not long after/the end of the Ali Era, mob controlled the matches, sports been unpure for a long time BUT it is at least still popular
Boreball is actually becoming hilariously irrelevant tho
With how the team's been, it's the obvious choice.
Trade CJ for 1&2 rounders, bench Stafford next year, target QB,WR,DT,OL in the draft for the next few years while picking up quality bargains in FA, rebuild team around a QB that isnt ruined
Graduate rbs because a good rb can take a game and run with it
Same for will lbs who can easily get 10 tackles and a pick a game eg Sean Lee lavonte David telvin Smith kiko knees alonso
Stafford without a doubt.
Man was virtually beat on by the Vikings and only suffered a few fractured ribs. Any other QB would probably be out for the season.
Stafford is a great QB who's potential and confidence was squandered on a shit team. We can only wonder "what if" if he had been drafted by a better team.
I completely agree with you guys but the Starship troopers clip doesn't really express the point you're trying to make. That being said, the game has changed to score more points, therefore be more exciting for the masses and/or gambling addicts. While we still enjoy a smash mouth game I'm afraid those days are behind us.
>meme qbs don't go to or win superbowls
I hate this meme desu senpai.
Russel Wilson is called a meme and a kek and has a SB ring and was in the SB last year. When will /do/ realize being a meme doesn't mean you can't win.
Doug Williams never lost a Super Bowl on an inexplicably bad play call and pass
and you're aware goat in lowercase means loser/scapegoat, right? Greatest of All Time is capitalized
>and you're aware goat in lowercase means loser/scapegoat, right? Greatest of All Time is capitalized
Clearly not, because you replied as if it was greatest of all time.
Can't wait to see how mad you get when Wilson wins his next Owl.
Fact is football is a contact sport and contact sports cause injuries. Being someone who has played football for years and was injured myself I think it's a personal decision. Everyone that plays Should understand the risks and has to make up their own mind if it's for them. Over the years, NFL and other leagues has tried to find a balance of safety while not changing the game too much. Rules in the NFL have changed to make the quarterback/receivers take less hits but that has nothing to with safety. It has everything to do with TV ratings and Money. Fact is that more people will tune in or pay to see a game that has a Manning or Brady play In it than an offensive lineman or kicker. So the NFL will do everything in it's power to keep their cash cows in those games. Gambling is also a major part and with the rise in popularity of fantasy football it has become less about the actual team game and more about individual players. As a fan of the game it is very sad but their are options such as amateur leagues but even then money usually is running the show. Even high schools are allowed to recruit and play in the same league as public schools creating unfair competition. There us just no way around the fact that it is a business and business owners, for the most part care about the bottom line more than the integrity of the game.
OK, thanks bois, I was switching between that and the WS and didn't see any of the GB-DEN game after halftime
>"elite" defense otherwise throttling the best QB in the game
baka senpai step it up. or did Rodgers go full Bradymode and throw it at his receivers' feet just before he got sacked?
really starting to think he is the "pretender" of all the great QBs in the league right now, just like his team. Capt. Checkdown Brady could go 14/22 in a game, but at least he'd have at least 150 yds and a few TDs while sealing up the win, despite his defense not being nearly on Denver's level. Hell, Brees could probably have gone 36/50 with 200+ yds, 3/3 and still won.
How many of Rodgers' main receivers are out for the season, or least a while, besides Jordy? jc
yeah no doubt about his greatness, and the same could be said for Brady re: picks. Rodgers has a better O-line right now, though, considering 2-3 of our regulars are out for the year and not every rookie/second-stringer is, well, doing better than a rookie/second-stringer.
he meant that rodgers doesn't attempt passes which he thinks the defender has a chance to make a play on.
brady isn't shy trying to make big plays if he has to going into coverage
how long does it generally take before you can lock up your division? The undefeated teams could do it by Week 12 I would imagine, provided they keep pace, even if they lose a game
Gronk, Edelman and Dion Lewis are better than any Dallas skill position players without Dez. Hell, Gronk alone is better than all of them combined and I'm quite confident that Garopollo wouldn't be any worse than Weeden/Cassell
They've been doing something slightly different every year for a while now.
One team scheduled to play in London every year (first Rams then Jags)
Three games, one in the afternoon local time
Games in London in consecutive weeks
It's clearly an experiment more so than just the NFL trying to build a foreign audience.
Are you ready for SB 50: Undefeated Catbowl?
Chip Kelly already call his agent
His reunion with Memeiota is just a matter of time
NFL always gives you guys the worst matchups, should just make it a formal punishment now.
Well the guy who originally hired Whiz isnt here anymore and the GM didnt even want Whizenhunt he wanted Dan quinn. The Titans do have talent on the team i guess they didn't fit Whizenhunts "scheme"
They won't get either. Megatron has a retarded cap hit and is already on a decline, he's the type of player Belichick gets rid of rather than trades for.
Thomas would make a bit more sense but they just gave Solder a big extension (his cap hit will be bigger than Thomas' next year) and they won't be able to move him with his torn biceps
Why have you forsaken me?
In your eyes, forsaken me
In your thoughts, forsaken me
In your heart, forsaken me
My cousin is an intern at NFL and his says that those trades are already made just need to finish de paperwork:
Kapernick to Dallas
Weeden to 49ers
RG3 to the Eagles
Sanchez to the Texans
Martellus Bennet to the 49ers
>Mfw everyone is riding high on the Broncos D
>Mfw Brady carves that shit up for dinner on Nov 29
>Broncos feel like their window is shutting fast with pey-pey.
that's probably because their window is literally this year and that's it
>from deep country
>eyes slighty too small
>huge head naturally skinny body
>highly uneven hairline
>displays some tendencies of high functioning autistic people, (bad at social cues, crazy list taking, bad at making connections, extremely high strung then no emotion)
>paddle sized hands and feet
So how likely is it peppy is inbred
trips and brees is traded to the jets his 3rd team and end his career with 3 superbowl rings
>refs deemed this as the buc defender making the tackle right as the ball got there
Pey Pey retiring will open a room in the cap enough for Miller's extension and all the other importante pieces will remain next year
>TFW we're gonna trade based Kruger for literal peanuts
I wouldn't be so sure. Broncos have ~$5m cap space now, Peyton retiring will free up $17.5m but a lot of players' have their cap hit rising in 2016 which will eat up ~$15m. And besides Miller they'll also have Mathis, Davis, Jackson, Trevathan, Hillman, Anderson, Marshall and McManus to extend
>TFW Gordon comes back next year and goes for 2500 behind Money McCown's arm
I guess getting hammered by the Texans without Arian Foster was the final straw
That, and Whisenhunt's inability to protect QBs what with leaving a rookie tackle to block JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus 1-on-1
Look,i like Peyton Manning and still think he has it.
But 7 ?He had 1 great(yes,it was great) game and maybe 1 average(the one where there were 2 dropped TDs and the play before both INTs were drops).
other than that,he sucked.
>this is likely the Chargers' last season in San Diego
>they're a bottom 5 team
Why did it have to be like this?
Is there even any question about who was the better pick anymore?
even if Chip leaves/gets fired the Titans are run by owners who only care about making money and not spending it
if keeping Mularkey is cheaper than Chip's mad plan they'll keep Mularkey
All of them are either ded, on an average or worse team, or both. If you want to call Freeman good fine that's one good RB on a good team, but the Falcons also have an elite QB-WR combo. Same goes for LB with Kuechly being the exception. RB/LB can impact games no doubt, but they're not necessary to win in 2015.
>The year is 2023
>NFL commissioner-king Robo-Goodell formally announces plans to expand into mainland Europe
>Eight teams will be added, seven in Europe to join the London Jaguars (and forming two international divisions) and one in the US to replace the relocated Jags
>One team will be added via expansion draft every year from 2031-2038
>You're on the committee that determines where the teams go
Where do you put them? Keep in mind that the Rams have moved back to LA.
10-6 or 9-7 and they make the playoffs as the final wildcard.
This is a decent football season, especially for a team with nothing but an RB and a receiver who emerged week 8.
They could easily extend Jeffery. Carolina is home for him, he grew up a Panthers fan, and he'd be ecstatic to not be in Chicago. If they don't trade for him odds are he just renews in Chicago for whatever he wants.
Pretty sure they can manage enough room for both. They'll have 16 million in cap space going into next year already, and I really don't think Jared Allen is coming back next season. That gives them plenty of room
When will the remaining undefeated teams lose their first game?
Probably against the Broncos, it's in Mile High, but at the same time it's a toss up. I'll throw in losing to the Jets for the season closer in case they were to beat Denver.
Same situation as the Patriots. If they beat the Pats, then I can see them losing against the Bengals like last season
Broncos in the off chance that Red Rifle remembers how to choke and losses against the Broncos D. If not then maybe the Cardinals (although Fitz has been struggling with that ankle)
Either the Falcons in Atlanta or the Saints (which will be in New Orleans)
You wouldn't believe me if I told you. He's belichick junior. If bb retires he's up
Dudes been groomed for years both sides of the ball by bb pretty much coached everything but qbs and wrs
He's got his aeronautical engineering degree from rpi. Dudes fucking smart
>giving Texass more teams to bandwagon
I can easily see that
pretty sure this one will be a loss, none of the starters will be playing against the (yes, I said it) worst team in the AFCE.
more like some other team gets to feel the pain of starting him
he was p. good in SF last year when he played iirc. Threw their only 4th quarter TD of the season and so on.
And by pretty good I mean better than Kaepernick
well Kaep has been putting up Gabbert-tier numbers as of late
if the niners actually had a RB I would say that gabby wouldn't be a bigger disaster than Kaep has been, but I dunno if an ancient Pierre Thomas and Shaun Draughn can do much even against the Falcons run defense
Fair enough point, but I'd suspect, given past performance, that Kaepernick's potential upside is better.
Maybe they're just benching him so he doesn't get killed behind that line, and Gabbert is the sacrificial lamb?
He never specified having accuracy, just something resembling it.
The offensive weapons and coaching was completely different last year compared to this year. This year Kaep would be the better option without a doubt.
Put Gabbert in and your offense becomes one dimensional. Gabbert could be good enough when there's reliable running to relieve him, but in this situation he'd have to do it all himself with no OL, basically no WR, and no solid run game. He'd get feasted on. At least he had MJD to ease the burden a bit in JAC.
