How do I make friends? I recently moved to biggest city in my country because I am studying there. I don't know many places or any people at all. No hobbies or social skills, but a lot of insecurities. I have 4 friends in total, two of them are from internet, never seen them irl, one friend irl is my childhood friend and second one I've known for an year, since they joined my school a year before graduation and happened to ride the bus with them. I have problem in public, as always I feel like everyone is judging, mocking and laughing at me. I'm awkward and pretty much ugly.

No one will be your friend if you just sit in your room.
Join a club/sports team/church/whatever and try and be social and talk too people there

Oh also to add - all my friends irl live in different locations, so meeting them somewhat frequent would cost money, and I'm broke as fuck.

Well, I was thinking about joining our dorm's sport and health cenre (basically, gym), but I don't really have much time because of studying. Also I have problem with starting conversations, as it feels like I'm bothering people, knowing I am as uninteresting as a person can be. I'm trying to work up my courage to go out as much as possible, but from being pretty much alone since 2009 took its toll on my social skills.
