Does IQ means something? Why? Is it possible to increase it? If yes how?

>Does IQ means something? Why?
yes
modern IQ tests are highly g-loaded so they are good at measuring general intelligence
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G_factor_(psychometrics)
>Is it possible to increase it? If yes how?
yes, by practicing IQ tests and learning the patterns
this will remove the g-loading though and not actually increase intelligence
>>7639059
What about increasing the G factor?
>>7639059
Bit it increases the result not the IQ, I mean how can I increase IQ, not the result of test
>be dude
>have 250 IQ
>still a worthless piece of shit
>not some millionaire that has capitalized on his intelligence
>brag to everyone riding in public transit on high IQ
>goto school, brag to girls on intelligence and grades
mfw
if your so smart, just do something with it
no need to hurr durr look at this arbitrary score
>>7639104
I'm not doping this, I only want ti know if this score has sense
>>7639050
Study hard and stop shitposting.

Studying increases knowledge, not reasoning skills

False. Have you ever take an a simple leave logic course? By experience (studying and repititions of different problems) you increase your exposure and thus your reasoning.
>>7639614
You don't need to take a course to figure that out.

IQ doesn't mean anything, other than someone's ability to take an IQ test. Proven a million times over, multiple types of intelligence, racial bias, etc. A simple 3-digit number just a shitty metric for judging something as complex as a human brain.
If you disagree, you're an elitist asshole and are not a respected scientist, please fuck off.
>>7639050
IQ is like any diagnostic tool. Somebody gets a low score, yeah they probably have a deficiency. Somebody gets a high score, it doesn't mean they aren't capable of all kinds of stupidity. What it means is that any stupidity they have is outside the scope of the test.

maybe try to do a lot of various exercises
you can study science AND try to UNDERSTAND (not just memorize) everithing,
and try to guess the results/proofs before they are given.
be abble to write with each hand, and in mirror, etc
do IQ test, or other exercises who needs to be logical (sokoban, sudoku, etc)
create your onw exercises, ask your friends to solve them to see how difficult it is, and also try to solve them.
>>7639807
I don't know. What I'm pretty sure of is that there is more than one kind of stupid.

yes, that's what I meant
of course find EFFICIENT other ways to think
it works at least for me... I just hope it works for someone else

Get someone with a 50IQ and then someone with a 160IQ and then say that.
There is no doubt that there are many types of intelligence and human brain is something complex. Nevertheless we can all agree that IQ describes only a circumscribed part of human intelligence, which is logic, and some objective criteria to understand if somebody is well-versed in such an objective thing necessarily exist.
