/sci/ what happens if we divide by zero?
>>7588218
You get an F on your test.
>>7588218
You get infinity
>>7588218
depends, is your definition of zero an infinitesimal?
1/infinitesimal=infinity
>>7588309
the limit is discontinuous as well you dipshit
>>7588304
0/10 see me after class
>>7588218
By trying to divide by zero, you are asking "how many zeroes are in the number I'm dividing into". Let's say it's 3/0. OK, how many zeroes are in three? Is there none? One? Thirteen? Graham's Number of zeroes?
Since the answer cannot be determined, then the operation cannot be performed.
Hence, dividing by zero is UNDEFINED.
Think of pi. Its generated by some algorithm. There is no end.
When you divide by 0, its similar, except in the other direction.
You can keep generating digits in the higher digits direction, and its never going to end.

ill see u after class 2 big boy ;3
>>7588896
0 + 0 = 0
0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0
The sum of zero from 1 to infinity is 0
So therefore, by your logic, isn't any number divided by 0... 0?
undefined
>>7588873
10/0 u mean
>>7588218
You open a portal to higher dimension and learn the truth about all the things the government doesn't want you to know!!!!!!!!!!
>>7589158
Ok I'll try
∞/0
>>7589158
It doesn't work btw
Fuck u anon
>>7588973
His logic states that the sum of zeros should be 3, not 0.
