>Nursing or Medicine
Well, /sci/? Which is the better field?
>inb4 "they're both shit"
My mom is a nurse, my dad is a doctor - and I'm speaking just anecdotally
Doctor (specifically, emergency medicine)
>rotating 12 hour shifts, he works full time at 4x 12 hour shifts weekly
>salary is $350k/yr
>malpractice insurance is 25k/yr or so
>has to relicense every couple years for competency
>has to work when sick unless able to talk a coworker into working for him
>graduated in 1985 with 40k in student loans
>unheard was bio, MD, residency at 4 years total 12 years before he started to make a comfortable salary
>Nurse, orthopedics
>works 3x 12 hour shifts a week
>4 year undergrad degree
>makes $45/hr (90k year)
>doesn't have to take exams to show continual competence, just has to take CEU's and pay a fee every 2 years
>malpractice not needed or required
>lots of overtime available
From a pure financial position, and factoring in opportunity costs, nursing is the field to go - after 15 or so years the MD route, of course, wins
But who wants to help sick people all day anyway

This doesn't make any sense. Why does a nurse supposedly have a MD? Why does a doctor supposedly have only an undergrad?
I think you swapped some shit you dyslexic retard.
I'm reading this book about differential equations, and I came to this.
Can someone explain this? I must have slacked off on my calculus.
Thanks in advance.

Integral of [math] \frac { 1 } { x } = \ln (x) [/math]
Indefinite Integration determines a function up to the addition of an arbitrary constant, since the derivative of a constant is 0.
>>8594698
what is the integral of 1/x dx? what is the integral of k dx where k is a constant?
>>8594709
what is the integral of k dx where k is a constant?
That's what I don't get. I get that the integral of dt is t. That makes sense, but I can't understand what is the integral of dx.

Well /sci/,
Is a black hole a Gabriel's Horn looking thing that compresses to infinity, or dense af Fuzzball?

Is geometrical really discovered, or did it always exist?

What the fuck kind of retarded question is this
Quit spending all day getting high and looking at your hand. Open a math textbook.

Where did you think I obtained this figure, you dingus?
>only reading physical books
That being, there is no reason behind the mutants that lead to the evolution of X trait. The only reason X trait exists is because it aids that organisms survival and chance to reproduce in some way and therefore is only a result and has no intrinsic purpose.
Now can we stop with the:
>What is the evolutionary purpose of [X]?
Yours earnestly,
Sebastian Albrecht
Chairman of Applied Biology, University of Exeter
>basing your profession on a theory less than two centuries old
Lel. We thought the sun rotated around the Earth longer than that you dingus.

>Not an argument.
Do you have anything more substantial than an appeal to age?
>>8593574
asking "what is the purpose of this?" is shorthand for "HOW does this benefit the organism's survival or how did it benefit its ancestors?"
Let's not get hung up on terminology.
I need your help /sci/ There wasn't a psychology board so you're the closest I could think of.
Why am I sexually attracted to the color green? I don't mean that I want to fuck grass or trees or anything. I find green characters (The Hulk, orcs, Zac from League of Legends, etc.) extremely attractive. I I try my hardest to find videos of guys in green bodypaint fucking girls because that's what gets me off the most. Even pictures of normal guys but with just green skin tone arouses me. I frequently take lewd, sexual pictures of Google images of hot guys, then open it up in photoshop to select their skin and turn it green to fap to it later.
>inb4 meme
>inb4 tiles guy
I'm being serious. I can fap to normal stuff, but stuff with green guys gets me off more.
Anybody?
proof or gtfo
>>8593387
How do I provide proof? Show brain scans while I jerk off to green guys?
What do you guys think about solipsism and derealization/depersonalization?
Only autists are solipsists.
>>8593155
It's bollocks or mental illness.
Solipsism is the antithesis of human existence.
Imagine we had an infinite set of numbers and we told a computer (suppose that the computer is somehow fucking made by a god or whatever and can do this instantly) to pick one at random.
Shouldn't the probability of picking one of those numbers be 0, since .000...(1) = 0?
I'm saying that .000...(1) = 0 for the same reason .999... = 1, which probably is a huge mistake.
Yes, this is correct the probility of picking a random element from an infinite set is zero.
>>8593076
Yes, we can see this if we consider a set of n numbers. The chances of picking a number would be 1/n
Then the limit as an approaches infinity implies that the set is infinite, and also implies the probability approaches 0.
ITT we post quackery
I'll start us off with the field of "Real" numbers, which is actually logically inconsistent with itself.
>the field of "Real" numbers is actually logically inconsistent with itself.
Yup, that's some gold-standard quackery right there.

goodluck.
no one on this board has any applied experience.
they like to stick to non-physics related brain games.
once u start adding real variables they lose their shit and just lash out

obviously you have to count how many times the disk revolves per second
did you think the answer was more complicated than that
