What are some good channels of universities on youtube?
Definitely not MIT.
>>8722174
What is wrong with MIT?
>>8722189
Their videos are just so damn boring.
I highly recommend UCBerkeley, Harvey Mudd or Harvard over MIT.
If i consumed Einsteins Brain would i become a God of physics?
>>8722032
No, you would just be digesting the god of physic's brain.
>>8722032
you would become a racist plagiarist like him
>>8722035
How was he racist?
So what's the truth about this shit.
It's objectively fucking white and gold, drop each pixels individually, yes the "white" parts are slightly blue. But still closer to white.
My thought is that it depends on the brightness and contrast of the monitor I guess.
Open it in gimp, darken the image and turn up the contrast and it becomes black and blue.
What are you stupid? It's clearly fucking blue and black.
>>8713808
Really weird, I first saw it as white and gold but staring at the darker parts of gold made it become black and blue
>>8713808
white and gold
show to the rest you aren't an idiot. proof you deserve to be on this board.

A membrane in string theory can be theoretically the size of the universe, so quantum fluctuations could be membrane movement. The fact that quantum fluctuations just appear and disappear could be the membrane traveling into the 3 spatial measurable dimensions that we are familiar with, and escaping into other dimensions (like gravitons) so that they seem to disappear but are still there.
Can anyone explain it to a brainlet in this topic like me?
Also I like examples, like with cats
>>8718394
String theory is basically a theory that talks about all particles being made out of these strings wade of energy, and depending on how they vibrate changes the particle it creates. The vibration of strings is what makes the difference between you and your cat.
>>8718393
In a 2 dimensional universe, beings would only see in 1 dimension, so if you placed your 3 dimensional hand in that universe, then the people would only see part of your hand appearing and then disappearing.
Why can't science explain that voice in my head that I control?
How do you know you control it?
>>8717941
You know when you read text, you can hear yourself in your conscience?
>>8717953
No, I really just perceive the text, there isn't a voice in my head speaking persay.
So, what's the explanation?
Not many people live in Greenland
>>8715947
Probably a number of factors, some of them may be genetic, others socioeconomic. We don't really know, and this is not helped by how taboo this research is considered in psychology.
If that's accurate it's worse than I thought.
Is there a correlation between musical preference and IQ?
This song is highly preferential, and my IQ is 130

people who listen exclusively to manufactured pop need to be quarantined
unfortunately that includes my own mother
>says he went into medicine to help people
I approached [the Dean of the Medical School at McGill] for help in entering the medical school there, when in 1945 the atomic bomb unexpectedly put an end to the war and to my four-month old career in the Canadian Infantry. The Army very wisely decided to get rid of such green recruits as soon as possible, and so we all again found ourselves quite unexpectedly in charge of our own lives. I had graduated in engineering earlier that year but had already decided against that career. The Dean greeted me very cordially and assured me that there was a great need for technically trained doctors. But, he said, seating me next to him, first tell me a little about yourself. Did you ever have any interest in botany, say, or biology? Well, not really, I had to admit. How about chemistry - Oh, I hated that course. And so it went. After a while he said, "Well, is it maybe that you want to do good for humanity?" And then, while I was coughing in embarrassment, he went on, "Because they make the worst doctors." I thanked him, and as I walked out of his door I knew that I would start afresh and with God's grace try and become a mathematician.
doing it for a different reason is a MISTAKE
If people become doctors to help other people why are there so many doctors who are assholes who seemingly don't give a damn and just try to get the patient out as soon as possible?
a = b
a^2 = ab
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
(a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b)
a+b = b
2b = b
2 = 1
a=b=0
>>8725230
a-b=0 so you can't divide by it

Here's to hoping this was a troll.
So do we have to ability to actually destroy the earth yet? Or can we still only bitch out and irradiate the surface for a few generations
>>8725082
the latter.
>>8725082
>destroy the earth
describe to me what destruction of the earth looks like
>>8725086
not OP but I'd say "destroy" means blow it apart. Say, break it into pieces such that each piece is less than half the original mass of the earth, and the pieces are blown apart with such velocity they won't come back together
does anyone here play chess
>>8724844
of course
>>8724844
yes
it's the best use of applied autism, aka geometry
I tried getting into it a while ago but got deterred after seeing all the openings and everything. Anyone have any tips or order I should leave stuff. I don't know any openings, endgames, blah blah
1) According to Newton's third law states that whenever one body exerts a force on another body, the second body exerts an oppositely directed force of equal magnitude on the first object.
Then, why don´t the forces cancel each other and both remain static??
2) If protons have the same positive charge, then why don´t they repel each other in the atom?
3) If entropy is always increasing, how come complex life forms exist? Even after billions of years since the big bang?
""Science""
You can google all of this, bad bait baka
>Then, why don´t the forces cancel each other and both remain static??
Why would anything cancel? force 1 is the one exerted from the hand on the wall, and force 2 is the one exerting back on the hand. How much the object move depends on the mass and inertial.
If you throw a billiard ball against the wall, then the wall doesn't move much because it's so heavy, but the returning force is strong enough to push back the light ball.
>2) If protons have the same positive charge, then why don´t they repel each other in the atom?
You got nuclear physics to describe the small scale potentials
>3) If entropy is always increasing, how come complex life forms exist? Even after billions of years since the big bang?
Why not? And what makes you think "billions of years" is a significant number with respect to global entropy rise
>>8724827
It´s all lies and you know it
ITT: post things that are settled science.
I'll start:
-Anthropocentric climate change is real
-Vaccines are harmless
-Evolution is indisputable
-Non-biological basis of race
-Gay conversion therapy is bunk but gender conversion therapy is real
-Guns should be illegal
-Trump is racist
weak bait but i'll dump some links anyway

settled science does not exist.
Would a nuclear war ACTUALLY END humanity? Or could survivors repopulate?
it would probably create a mutant race like xman

This is a scientific question, not a political one.
