How would you go about linearizing a graph like this? My physics curriculum calls for it. The data is leveling off just like in pic related.
>>8723002
Try changing y axis to log2(x) values. If you had a quadratic function you would make the Y axis look like 1,4,8 etc
>>8723014
Alternatively do the reverse with X axis and mark it as y(x)^(-1) = 2^x.
>>8723014
So it kind of worked, I guess. But I would also need to explain why I chose to do this, so why (in Leyman's terms, if possible) is this an effective way to linearize it?
No school has more brainlets than Tandon at NYU. Pay 55k to be surrounded by brainlets in brooklyn.

Is Electrical Engineering the best degree you can get from a practical standpoint?
>everything you learn can be readily applied
>exposed to utility programming and learn C/C++ as well as the rundown behind how this all works at the CPU level so your not code monkey tier
>get to learn and actually apply fairly advanced math to solve problems RL

Work full time and then part time, lack of dedication, depression, shitty Uni.
Einstein had an iq of 160
In the 1905 he had his miracle year where he single handendly invented quantum mechanics with his photo electric effect and Brownian motion papers and relativity with two papers on that.
Average iq rise over time and accounted for that, his iq today would've been slightly less than 130
That means that quiet allot of you lazy faggots are as able as Einstein in disproving centuries of ideas if you didn't waste your time
Also Africans aren't retarded cause they're black, they're retarded due to years of malnutrition and lack of education
iq really doesnt mean as much as people with selfesteem problems think it does
motivation to work, privileges you were lucky enough to have from birth, mental health, perseverance, and most of all chance are the main factors in whether you will do great work or not.
>Average iq rise over time and accounted for that, his iq today would've been slightly less than 130
But he wasn't alive today. Whose to say Einstein would have accomplished anything if he were born in the 90s? I don't get the point you're trying to make.
>>8721113
his iq would be 145 if you adjust for him being jewish
Anyone study Category theory and Programming Language theory here?
All I know is that Europeans mostly deal with PL theory. Americans mostly do Complexity Theory.
>>8720585
Interesting, which schools? Believe CMU studies this as well.
I'm mostly interested in US schools (to apply to PhD programs)
>>8721107
Ask your academic adviser, no one here is gonna give you solid advice on that. Or find a guy in the department who does theory and ask him.
Hey guys!
Here I found this crazy and stupid video! What do you think about these fuckers? Are they real or scam? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP_FZSBYYCY
Because their page and their campaign, looks legit!
>>8719445
That video is insane. You can't take them seriously at all.
It is a scam, immortality does not exist and you'll probably never see that money again in any form if you decide to donate.
Honestly why would you want to live forever anyway? Life is pain.
hey hey, yeah the video is insane. I am myself a biologist with PhD and a positions at the university.... so know the most facts :D but never thought about it bringing it even this far! :D and this makes feel like these fuckers!! They are crazy, even when they get the way half through it, we all would be fucking healthy!! :D I donated :D fuck the money :D it is not that much, a few beers less

While I suppose I could hope for it, I mostly hope that it could at least add some decades or remove the vast majority of the ailments of old age. Volunteering for old folks homes have left me entirely fearful of old age and more than empathetic to any attempts to remove it from the human condition.

Hey /sci/
I dropped out of high school due to mental health reasons and then got my GED a year later. In highschool, i was the guy who never did homework but then got A's on every test and exam.
I'm 21 now and I'm really regretting not giving a fuck in highschool because now that I'm considering going back to school (college) I feel really behind and i'llprobably have to retake some a bunch of 101 classes that i did in HS (not a huge deal)
A little bit about myself: Ive played music since i was 4 and i can play 13 different instruments. on top of music my interests are physics, computer science, astronomy. biology, medicine.
I would like to have some sort of science career in one of these mentioned fields and I'd really appreciate any advice I could get on where i should start/how i could prepare for college.
>>8728374
also didnt mention, I have been IQ tested and i was like 130 and that was when i was 16
>>8728374
Similar position
20 years old
Won a decent award
Took 70 credit hours in HS
Dropped out of college due to being bipolar
I'm pretty good at math

Also I got pretty into music as a youth as was pretty talented. Violin, piano, and guitar were the main ones, but I screwed around on others. I've also gotten into art in the past and several other hobbies that I ended up quitting.
Could the universe suddenly disappear for no reason at all? Is it all possible?
No its impossible. The universe contains everything that happens. Only a subset of the universe can have something done to it. Even then nothing just dissappears let alone instantly.
I know you lre shitposting but there.
>>8726377
>The universe contains everything that happens
But I thought people said there may be more universes than just this one? So hows this universe 'contain everything'?
>>8726371
If it appears out of nothing, it can disappear into nothing.
By what year will we have robot doctors who can scan you immediately to find cancer?
I've been let down for the last 7 months by human doctors, they've missed my cancer and now I'm going to die alone at home
>>8726339
You don't have cancer, pancreatic, liver or otherwise.
>>8726339
>By what year
It might take 40 years or so. If we're still alive.
Ignoring that meme of yours, human doctors are in fact horrible at their jobs.
Maybe in countries like the US they are forced to keep up with current research and follow protocol, but in my country they are quick to dissmiss anything that isn't blatantly obvious to be a common problem.
>>8726339
Ignore the memers, OP.
Sometimes pancreatic cancer can show symptoms in the lungs. It's a common human anatomical variety.
You should immediately seek medical assistance if you've had symptoms for this long.
I want a quantum physicist to be my gf.
How do I impress her.
>>8726316
Also be a quantum physicist.
>>8726316
kill yourself to prove quantum immortality to her
>>8726316
Show her your anime collection and then brag about how big your IQ is.
Did he really say this?
Yes but he was talking about his food
>>8725691
Godel was a brainlet. He decided to due pure math instead of theoretical physics. He was just mad because his contemporary Einstein had made greater achievements than him.
>>8725733
you're delusional. the incompleteness theorem pretty much encapsulates the core threshold that mathematics has while utilizing human language. that separation alone adds a realm of rigor we'll probably spend ages trying to fully grasp. meanwhile people are trying to fine a theory to replace Einsteins due to how incompatible it is with Quantum Mechanics. guess which one is going to last longer as an achievement and then come back with your brainlet remark, synapselet.
I'm sick of /sci/ going down the fucking shitter. I've been here since the beginning and you brainlets have you ruined this board, so the agents are stepping in.
WHO WANTS TO DEBATE EINSTEIN WITH ME? I see you fucking morons posting all the time sucking his dick, about how he was the greatest scientific mind of his time, century, whatever; it's like you have no idea Tesla lived at the exact same time. Tesla invented tangible demonstrations and experiments to prove his original theories were fact; Einsten had neither an original theory nor a tangible demonstration. He stole every single idea he is credited with.
Einstein was a fucking plagiarist. He was a shill. He was a globalist, Zionist shill. He was a figure head to confuse you. I can prove it too, he was a piece of shit.
Who wants to "reeee" at me? Bring it on faggots, and when you're wrong get off my board or get good and start reading up on the shit you all talk about.
He plagiarized his nobel prize winning work:
JJ Thompson - gas tubes: the greater the frequency the higher the output (Einstein's nobel prize) i.e. the photoelectric effect.
he didn't "discover" e=mc2:
JJ Thompson/John Henry Poynting/Oliver Heaviside/Woldemar Voigt/George FitzGerald/ Joseph Larmor/Hendrik Lorentz
he didn't "discover" general relativity:
Friedrich Hasenöhrl/Joseph Stefan/ Ludwig Boltzmann/JJ Thompson/Woldemar Voigt/George FitzGerald/Joseph Larmor/Hendrik Lorentz
If you haven't heard of a name why don't you fucking google them before you comment, troll posts and flaming will not be engaged. Bring it on faggots.
Richard Bellman > Einstein.
>>8725621
I will agree with that my dude
I actually want this to turn into a shitfest.
Did Einstein really predict that eclipse thing?
