i'm doing a research project about how a persons DNA sample is left behind, i'm trying to list a set of different situations where unknowingly, you leave DNA behind. could anyone help me out, i'm talking from places where sweat is left, down to saliva left on cigarette butts. i want to list as many as I can but i'm kind of stuck. any suggestions?

Hey, /sci/. I've heard a lot of people say that sex robots would end the human race by causing gradual decline of the birth rate. However, I recently came up with a possible solution to the problem in the form of biological robots: that is, robots that are essentially flesh and blood humans with synthetic, programmable brains that are fully capable of procreating.

That said, I was wondering if anyone here knowledgeable in the fields of biology and cybernetics could tell me if such a concept is feasible or if there would be a prohibitive number of complications that would arise during an attempt to develop one?

Now i have no fucking clue where i should actually post this but here i am.

Well anons, i am working on an actually well funded and quality generator (about 150K USD)

Think 1 to 1.5 inch thick neodymium magnet plates on a very low friction rod. A fixed outer copper wire track that is about 2 to 3 inches thick ( have yet to determin which is more efficient) i have estimated that it would produce around 100 to 150 Kw/h in a finished state.

I am not a retard that thinks perpetual motion exists, so please bear with me here.

I would begin the motion so that a relatively powerful electric motor could keep it at a certain speed, with a gearing system if i get to that.

Essentially i want your opinions on if this could or will work, given that i do use high quality materials to make an optimal generator like described.

>>
Nigger, what the fuck?
>>
>>8744065
Well i left out a shitload of information but its essentially using a relatively powerful electric motor that only keeps the magnets spinning at a certain speed, and it should produce far more than used because of the scale and materials used.

Of course.

birds, fish, reptiles, amphibions, crustaceans, etc

they can all come in bright and wide variety of colors.

mammals on the other hand stick of a orange/brown/tan/white/black pallet. the only bright colors being in their eyes.

Why aren't mammals available in colors like this parrot is?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>8743896
It's due to our evolutionary history. Mammalians and their ancestors were rat-like creatures which needed to live in hiding from larger predators of that time (dinosaurs and modern birds). You don't need fancy colors underground or in bushes. That's also the reason why mammalian vision sucks (most have only blue and green pigments and poor spatial resolution).
>>
>>8744102
what this guy said, mammals rely heavily on stealth and camouflage when hunting or hiding, bright colors are not very conducive to this goal
>>
Question: how do these animals get their pigments. Like is there genetic,code that codes,for green feathers or some shit?

How do "0.999... equals 1" fags can explain the following?

Lets say we divide 10 pies EXACTLY by 3. We now have three pieces of 3.333... of pie. Theoretically that 3.333... equals 4, which means we have 3 pieces of pies that make 4 each. Then say we want to unite them to make 10 again; that is we sum our current slices of pie: 4+4+4

That is 12. Not 10. We magically spawned 2 more pies. How do mathfags explain this?

>>
>>8743634
putting pies back together is hard work
in order to have enough energy to do it you need to eat at least 2 of them
>>
x = 3.333...
3x = 9.999...
3x = 10
x = 10/3

what's wrong
>>
3.333... doesnt equal 4. It equals 3+1/3.

(3+1/3)×3 = 10

Why is suicide considered pathological?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>8743568
Because we live in a society that irrationally values life (probably due to our instincts of survival) and doesn't realize that there's literally nothing wrong with it.
A lot of people who commit suicide do it because of pathological reasons though.
>>
>>8743629
You only exist because every one of your ancestors who had a suicidal thought didn't go through with it.
>>
>>8743706
So, what's your point? I should thank them for that? Life is shit anyways. Things could have been better for me if I haven't been born (no, anon, I'm not suiciding. Understanding suicide as a valid alternative does not mean that I am going to do it).

So I was studying for this electromagnetism test I have tomorrow, and I came across this problem about a charged soap bubble, and I looked the solutions manual and it looks all handy wavy and boring, so I tried to force my way into it and I ended up with this other problem, which seems a lot more interesting.

Basically the problem is: Find a function [math] D(\theta,R) [/math] which express the distance in red(where R is the radius of the circle).
>pic related

So I was able to determine some boundary conditions for it and also to force them on a guessing function gnuplot, however its just a fit, and they are probably wrong. So I leave it to you geometry /sci/entists, please enlighten me with some elegant analytical solution.

Here is a set of boundary conditions to fasten you up:
[eqn]D(0)=2R[/eqn]
[eqn]D\left( \frac{\pi}{4}\right)=2R[/eqn]
[eqn]D\left( \frac{\pi}{2}\right)=0[/eqn]
[eqn]\frac{d }{d\theta}D(0,R)=0[/eqn]

Thank you, gg.

>>
The derivative in the first term is actually a partial derivative, also I'd like to say that there is one more boundary condition, but I am NOT SURE the function has to obbey it, but if does then the electro problem could be solved in a very elegant manner so, bonus points if it obbeys:

[eqn]\frac{2}{\pi} \int_{0}^{\frac{\pi}{2}}D(\theta,R)d\theta=R\sqrt{2}[/eqn]
>>
>>8743211
D(pi/4) isn't 2R.

You have from the cosine law
[math]R^2 = R^2 + D^2 -2RDcos(\theta)\\
\\
\therefore
D(c,R)=2Rcos(\theta)
[/math]
Either you are overthinking it or I'm an idiot.
