Is there any sport that is more/ sci/ than cycling?

It combines mechanics, aerodynamics and human anatomy. It gives you long periods of time to do nothing but think in solitude.

Even Ken Ono credits his mathematical results, in part, to cycling.

Well /sci/?

Based on the current budget(s) and rate of technological improvements in the space sector (and the stupidity/ignorance of the average American), do you really think we'll make it to Mars by 2032?

What particle do you think belongs in our modern model of the atom. There has to be more to it then protons, neutrons, and electrons.

I've been doing some thinking and some experiments, and I hypothesize there are these things called gluons and quarks that make up the neutrons and protons.
Then I got to thinking. How does energy become mass? There must be something that does it. Some sort of elementary scalar field. ..I call it the Higgs field

I also have an idea of how the gluons and quarks. I call it "strong nuclear force".

My ideas are revolutionary and I'll go down in history as the next Einstein.

How much of it is true that women are better for things like biology where you have to remember names and that kind of thing and men for things like maths, le abstract thinking because of evolution blablabla, women used to collect fruits while men have better innate visual spatial skills blablabla

I am just wanting to brainstorm some ideas and if someone wants to toss in an opinion or something, so be it.
I was studying some science articles and one talked about how gravity works. Mainly why Earth and other planets are spherical but our Galaxy is more disk like.
one of the points mentioned that pressure helps to form a sphere. Gravity pulls the rocks down (relative to the center of gravity), and pressure pushes the rock outward in all directions (other parts of the earth push outward from their location and into it's space). this condenses the mass equally on all sides as it's own pressure attempts to fight back. Gravity continues to pull it to the cored mass in the center.

I explain this to better illustrate my actual point (again sorry for the rant/wall of text). This describes the shaping of the 3D aspect of our universe.

my topic: 4TH Dim.

Why does Time seem to only flow Forward despite that all Maths have determined that there shouldn't be any restriction for it.
my proposed solution to the question

in the 4th Dim., there are forces of nature similar to gravity and pressure that act on time in a similar manner. Instead of being pulled to a specific point on the 3D map, Time is being pulled to a specific point in the 4D planescape. we are just along for the ride.

Instead of being pulled, Time is being propelled or pushed away from it's starting point (Big Bang or 4D equivalent).
in one scenario. Gravity works as a pulling force in the 3rd Dim. and then passes into the 4th, acting as the Pushing force (Gravity does affects Time)

The 2nd unknown force would be intrinsic to the 4th dim. and act on Time like Pressure acts on matter. Except it pulls time in every direction equally. this allows for multiple outcomes for every moment in time. which falls in line with the multiple universe theory.
oh well... just a thought. i hit my head earlier and haven't been able to stop thinking about this, but writing it out has helped. now for sleep.

at least the classes were split up, there's nothing worse than those math classes for both math majors and engineers, i had to take a linear algebra class and a complex analysis class with them and it just dumbed down the entire experience
>>
>>8832080
Engineers need complex analysis?
>>
>>8832136
No.
Complex has at least intro to proofs as a req. It sometimes has intermediate anysos as a req. Engineers Def don't need to take those

I'd agree with him if he didn't mean "mostly finitist, strictly dealing with rational numbers..." by "complete, self-contained, logical..."
He pretends to be anti-philosophical but his positions really are entirely philosophical. Because it's impossible to perform some computations or write a decimal representation of some number then we can't talk about such computations or objects?

If the finest minds in the field were all gathered into one group and given several tens of billions of dollars and access to the best computers on earth, could they conceivably create a seemingly intelligent human-level machine intellect in 10 to 15 years of single-minded effort?

Nope, both because high intelligence is endowed by a Creator (and thus cannot be replicated by the Creator's creations) and because it just fucking can't, you retard. Machines and organic life are completely different.

Hey /sci/ brainlet here.
Considering that gravity is due to the deformation of space-time, is gravity really a force?
21 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>8829235
It technically is not.
>>
>>8829235
Gravity isn't anything. It dosn't exist.
>>
>>8829235
What's actually happening is that as vacuum collapse occurs and the amount of matter in the universe decreases the gravity of the celestial body can now overcome the vacuum/zero point energy of space-time, bending it.

Observable gravity is proof that the end of the universe, false vacuum collapse is occuring.
