Either deterministic explanations of human origin and being have convinced you sufficiently to abandon spiritual models or there is no need to try to explain spirit with physics. This mode of trying to justify spiritual assumptions with scientific uncertainties reeks of the most rhetorical kind of apologism, playing to the aesthetics rather than reason and also seems rather defeatist.

Just grow some balls and say "science will never completely explain human consciousness, no matter how much we understand the body, the inscrutable soul will always be the dominant factor in our behavior" if that's what you believe.

I think my IQ has decreased. I started to compare how I was 6 months ago and how I am now. I've noticed that I seem to be more limited in my ability to problem solve.

I have no idea what to do anymore. I don't want to be another sheep. I want to be able to solve complex problems in my head, I want to be able to be creative. But I can't.

Is it possible to increase your performance on IQ tests? Yes, just study a bunch of them. They tend to repeat a lot of methods.

Is it possible to increase the thing that IQ tests are attempting to measure? Studies suggest not significantly, but there are far better ways to improve the brain than by improving intuitive pattern recognition. Just learn a bunch of things and get comfortable solving a bunch of things and looking at a bunch of things in a bunch of different ways.

IQ is a statistical thing even under the most generous of interpretations. Most intellectually-successful don't even know or care about their IQ, only those with simultaneously massive insecurities and egos do.

I too want to know about this; I have been thinking about talking to my doctor about how unfocused and unmotivated I am.

Literally taking a year to complete each level of math at this rate because I keep dropping out of my class. It's not hard its just that I've always been a procrastinator.
Last year my best friend turned into a veggie and I've been unable to continue school. I get anxiety because I know I have HW, studying, a test is coming up but I just sit there not able to do any of it.
