Sup human biology friends.
PLEASE HELP ME.
I am physically unable to burp and it causes pressure and pain in my stomach and chest.
It feels like my stomach exist even trying to digest my food.
I've had endoscopies, barium studies and a bunch of other shit done and absolutely nothing helps.
It started happening 2 years ago and has gotten progressively worse.
What could be causing this?
-bacterial infection paralyzing the stomach?
-some mechanical problem with the flap in my stomach that lets air out?
WHAT?!!?!?!
I also have a hiatus hernia, but that usually doesn't cause symptoms like this.
Oh, you guys want my E-s-d barium images?
Please help!!!

It's probably all in your head
what happens when you drink lots of carbonated beverages? lots of pain and still no burping?
For a long time I had to sort of swallow to let gas escape from my stomach, work on your belching, bro
>>7718973
>It's probably all in your head
Really now?
What am I looking at here guys?
Sci, what happens when you microwave blood?
It gets hot
>>7718878
Well, yeah; but what happens then?
>>7718878
>I have a recap linear algebra exam tomorrow and only had 2 days to study everything
JUST
>>7718853
better post on 4chan then
FUCK
>>7718853
>not taking notes and going over them every day when you're cooking dinner
might as well not even try studying anymore t b h. cramming doesn't work. you're fucked.
Doesn't it just make you cringe a bit every time you hear some shit like "Physics is just applied philosophy." Lol, there are some weird niggas on this planet.
>>7718778
This post makes me cringe, 2bh.
Physics is poop kek
>>7718778
physics is applied mathematics which is applied philosophy
so, they'd be right, but in that world you could say that biology is applied philosophy without being totally wrong so it really doesn't matter

The natural focus of what is the factoring determination that preludes an action that sets an additional variance into the correspondence of potential malleability is that of a thing of lending the focus of deceiving to what can be known as of as the 'prime directive', this field of anti conglomerate functions that is that of a space that can be tailored into a focus of delegation that precedes the elements of intention as the function of a normalized and stable concoction and by such can be deferred into negotiation with the dynamic of the structure and as such can be demonstrated as and with the various potential trade arrangements that naturalize the dissection of the space into a naivety which preludes my next point...
The vice of contorting trophies is something that has long been a complex of the multi-cellular species as a whole, be it from breeding for superiority to spending earnings, as something that is potentially an exacerbation of permanent, for the means of prolonging already spent lives; the conditions of directing what is determinably indefinably branching leads to an anomaly int the universe that can be considered that of a pierced chaos, where there are no definable ends but always a middle concerned with what its action frame is set to impose it coercion of force over that of what can be considered fully gripped, and by those means does the section of reaction that is the tips of the branches become ever finer and even more critical for the means of prolonging the life; but of course as you travel further into these woods you reach the impassable bramble that is the commute of reverse fractals or infinitesimal definitions ....
The conditions of travelling into a land with no intention of leaving any trace other than your allocation of space may seem foolhardy to the relaxed functioning of technology, as we know it in our credence of awareness of it, that there be volatile things in our circumstances would bother us is not something that we would confuse with as nubile, scaling and relative to us it has the foundations that make up the series that either beget us or determined some rudimentary detox of themselves to make for the allowance of us is the conditions we would expect, but forgotten is the sentiment of curiosity is that that scales with dominance and by extension does the dominance extend with it the nature of extermination to threats of external direction as they're something that challenges the dominance's tribal or spacial input with something that is to far spread across to many foreign condition prompts that the tool or subject simply begets a diatribe of defeat, which of course is not the preemptive drive of the relaxation factoring of the dominant nutrient: which is of course their familiar reaction system in the section of reality that they spar with to form their diorama of function that assures their continued fabrication in the nature in which their preferred inflection of rendition of identity, for the reasons of course be of what surrounds them not that of what determines them this also being a critical element of ego; that they are maintained in their background and redistributing formats....
Nurturing may be considered a foolhardy nature of control, there is little thought in human conditions to the full implications of what a baby realizes to be out of reach and uncontrollable albeit such accompanies determinable patterns as it looks up and the turning contraption of shapes situated above its head in its crib, the same determination of flux can be applied to wave science for the most part, there are little applications that truly grasp its nature but yet we choose to belittle ourselves with half hearted displays of what it potential would be renditioned as as it speaks with the simple premises it does while not letting on any real graphic of what it's nature of destruction of space conditions it into moral fruition, these two premises give light to what, when considering that that is out of reach with that that is expressed beyond proper limits of frictionless sharpness, to the fact that what lies beneath what lays is something of a system of arrogance.
This is all bullshit and placebo, according to any reasonable studies, right?
i dont know, why dont you read some reasonable studies and report back?
faggot
When you figure out how to do a test with a control group who receives convincing placebo acupuncture and acupuncture professionals who unknowingly administer placebo acupuncture, let us know.

It's unfalsifiable, in essence?
I wanna get into quantum field theory but I can only learn it online. ANYBODY know any good resources to do so? I have been exposed to quantum mechanics for a little over a year now and I have a good handle at the basics but I want to learn more about QFD. Please help.

https://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/training/perimeter-scholars-international/lectures/2014/2015-psi-lectures
google is your friend. i upgraded from qm to qft about a year and a half ago and i'm still gaining insight on it all the time! good luck!
one word of advice: feynman diagrams are not necessary
>Im in "x" meme degree
>is "x" meme career?
>I make "x" $ with "x" career! Re: meme
>This career better because "x" career is meme
>Stem is meme math is meme science is meme mechatronics is meme meme is meme
>If you want advice regarding college/university or your career path, go to /adv/.
>Reminder: /sci/ is for discussing topics pertaining to science and mathematics, not for helping you with your homework. See the rules page for details.
But theres multiple threads that people keep replying to that talk about different degrees and careers being "memes" with no supporting evidence and even when they do support their claim, somebody else debunks their claim saying their rebuttal is a meme degree.
Im not asking for advice here, Im asking for clarification with supporting evidence, I'm expecting long [serious] replies from people that actually have any respect for /sci/ to list, describe, and explain which degrees and or careers are "not meme".
>modern salaries?
>modern usefullness?
>availability?

If theres still any competent anons using 4chan, how do we get rid of dumbfucks likes this?
/sci/ is literally /shitpost/ and it makes /x/ and /b/ seem like professional genius conversations.
>>7718455
There's this magic tool called a "filter." I recommend filtering * on /sci/. I find it removes 100% of shitposting with an extremely low false positive rate.
>Why are we learning this? What's the application?
>When am I ever going to use [rudimentary mathematical object] in real life?
>>7718423
Well tell me, what ARE the applications of calculus? Seems like arbirary abstraction to me.
underage pls
Hey /sci/, College student here. Which of these two O-chem books would you recommend. If you've used one, or both, do you have any comments about it?
Vollhardt and Schore
or
McMurry, 8th edition
>>7718353
I've found McMurry pretty good, it's a common standard text for many O-chem courses for a reason.
I've never used Vollhardt. If you're looking for a supplementary text for your course, Klein is great for self-study/simple explanations (but, Wade is more comprehensive, and Clayden is advanced with anything you need for a first semester course and more.
>>7718353
Wade master race reporting in
>>7718353
Clayden and Greaves.
Physics question
If something is extremely large, like galaxy sized, would it's speed naturally increase with its size relative to normal moment such as walking or throwing a punch? Or would it take a million years to do anything?
>>7718341
> anime physics
Not sure I'm just guessing but I'd say yes, to a degree
Say there's something that's big enough that it's natural speed reaches 99% the speed of light
If it's any bigger it will not get any faster no matter how big it gets
>>7718341
in general big things tend to move slower than small things.
Also relativity. The galaxy throwing robot from gurren lagann is all kinds of not possible
>>7718351
nooo, you've destroyed my dreams
do they mean nothing to you, anon?
How does /sci/ deals with study burnout?
Kill a few brain cells. Like go on /sci/ and start a climate change discussion thread
Ideally you want to study more
But since you're human you will do what humans do
Drinking.
What?! Is this a rebellion of machines?
>>7718073
Casio ftw
800 is just a multipple of pi.
Deal with it
>>7718073
How do I know you didn't just photoshop this image?
The only evolution that has been scientifically attested is on a very small scale and within narrow limits. To conclude from this "micro-evolution", which no one contests, that there could be such a thing as "mega-evolution" - that for example, the class of birds could have evolved from the class of reptiles - is not merely conjecture but perverse conjecture. Micro-evolution demonstrates the presence in nature of all sorts of unseen barriers that ensure the stability of the various classes and orders of animals and plants and that invariably cause transformation, when it has run its little course, to come to a dead-end.
Btw, I'm a /pol/lack
>>7718069
Either aliens or God guided the macro-evolution.
And you are right evolution in general can be laboratory tested, but in the state we exist now and considering how shitty the universe was with making life- we should've been earth worms by now.
>>7718071
speak english properly fag

Are you brain dead?
Who can solve this??
[math]f(x)=-1-\int_{0}^{x}\left ( 2*x-t \right )*f(t)*dt[/math]
>>7718046
blah blah take derivative second fundamental theorem of calculus blah
Fucking suckers, you got no idea. My son could solve that with his dick.
I'm not a robot.
>>7718063
how many integrals were you solving with your son's dick?
