So, how dedicated are you into your studies /sci/?
>How many hours are you studying each day?
>Do you prefer studying at home/dorm or the library?
>Are you planning your study sessions few days/weeks before?
>Ever used or tried any stimulants to 'enhance' your study sessions?
>What was (one of) your most enjoyable moments while studying?
>Are you drinking enough water to keep you hydrated? :^)
>Your favorite pen?
666 XD
In ur mom
Fuggin her
DUDE WEED LMAO
Fuggin ur mom
I dunno, ur mom drinks my milk
ur dad cock (no homo)
I am pretty dedicated to my studies, but that's just because just how I am, I put 100% effort into anything I do.
If i had to average it out over the whole semester i would say around 5 hours of studying a day on top of going to class. ( i never study for only 5 hours at a time, i do 12- 16 hour long sessions and then take time off other days of the week)
I know my Schedule with what projects i am doing what weekend and what days i am studying for what midterm / exam.
I have done drugs, pretty much any good one worth mentioning but not for studying... other then weed i chain smoke bong loads when i study / go to class.
Dont enjoy it, I just do it so i am at the top of the class.
Who doesn't drink water?
Fuck pens, mechanical pencil .7mm anyday.
I study Chem Eng. if anyone is wondering

TOP KEK BRUH U SO FUNNY
What would you do if you walked in the door and found a giant spider bigger than your house in your kitchen?
>>7719441
I'd cut the movie to the credits
I would become a constructivist, since there would be a subset greater than the original set.

360 and walk away
/sci/ WHAT the FUCK is going on?
its fucking december 14th at fucking 2am and im wearing just shorts with the fucking window open
what is going on?

Thanks THE SOUTH
i turned the AC on around noon yesterday
Why isn't education being directed toward 100% STEM subjects? Its the only field that creates jobs and furthers humanity's technological goals.
>>7718786
Because there is a market for non stem fields
>>7718822
/thread
>>7718822
Dubdubs confirm
>>7718786
As much as I hate to admit it, the West, and the US in particular, has a large demand for non-STEM fields. American culture essentially our biggest export, and without marketing and business majors, any engineering firm is going to fall behind the competition.
That said, success in non-STEM fields depends a lot more on nepotism, random luck, and other bullshit than STEM fields, since what we add to a business is easily quantifiable.
post YFW you started the chapters on sequences and series

Don't remind me, that was 4 years ago and I still cringe thinking about it
I'm struggling to choose between either becoming a chemical engineer or a bio-medical. Both pay well so that's not an issue. I guess I'd just like more information about them or other types of similar engineering. Thanks all
>>7717902
biomedical is a meme
civil, chemical, mechanical, or electrical, if you actually want transferable skills for a variety of induatries. worst thing you can do is only make yourself available to one or two.
Check job market, watch some introductory lectures on the subjects
>>7717922
Why do you say that, isn't there a lot of things that you can branch into with bio medical
>Hurrdur you are so smart for doing (insert STEM field).
>Hurdurr I'm not as smart as you.
>Hurrdurrr math is hard.
Isn't this just a bad excuse for being lazy?
Will these people be jobless in 20 years /sci/?
>>7719939
joke's on you, I'm jobless right now
>>7719939
honestly being lazy and smart is worse than not being lazy.
>>7719944
same here
Why the FUCK haven't we made airships yet?

>tfw you fell for the Computer Science meme
Yeah I have a decent job now (for being 24) but half of my coworkers just have their associates/no credentials at all. I could have done higher math, engineering, or really any science and just learned CS shit on the side. I could have learned something really specific and cool and worked with real intellectuals instead of Indians, Chinese people and fat manchildren.
Underage of /sci/, learn from my mistake. Get a respectable major. Just independently learn CS.
You should've specialized in something OP, you dumb fuck. Something like AI, data structures, or software engineering.
Bait thread. If you fell for this you really deserve it.
>>7718213
Fell for the CS meme or this bait thread?
Why not 50 or 9000? Why does it have to be 100C?
because thats an inherent property of water under our atmosphere pressure
>>7717980
Why is it an inherent property?
>>7717980
bzzz wrong.
because that is the completely arbitrary number in degrees celsius assigned to the physical temperature at which water boils at sea level, more or less.
So could the jet fuel actually melt the steel beams or what?
back to /pol/, faggot
this is more of an engineering question than science
No. But high temperature aluminium explodes on contact with water. Aluminium from the jet, water from the various services. Chimney conditions heating the Al.
Hello, /pol/. I posted in a thread recently where the topic of discussion was intelligence and intelligence tests and I am here to answer questions about them.
I am an M in Mensa and I have lead a group in the Southeast region of the United States for a year now since my immigration and graduation from a school here.
If you have any questions about IQ, IQ tests, IQ and where it comes from or just questions about Mensa do not be afraid to ask.
If you are interested in joining Mensa you will need to contact us through your nation's representative (www.mensa.org/contact-us) Be prepared to submit an IQ test showing an IQ within the top 2% of IQs and proof that the test was administered properly.
Thanks.
I'll be assisting my friend here in answering any questions and for clarification he read the thread on /pol/ and English isn't his first language
Ask away!
How does this retard not see the big letters saying "Science and Math" when making this thread?
>>7716943
>muh iq
if you're so intelligent you should be able to solve these problems
I want to build my own Mini Nuclear Power Plant in my garden to power my house because I grow a lot of weed and I need a lot of electricity for that.
Anybody know where to start?
Just use the giant nuclear power plant in the sky.
Harvest fire alarms.
>>7707747
Is americium actually useful for anything like this?
Ok /sci/, the year is 2016 and the sun is going to collide with the earth. Luckily you've been selected to live in a bunker with enough food/water/air for 20 years (about how long the earth would be uninhabitable) after which you will emerge and you'll be charged with helping to rebuild society.
You can take 2 books containing all known scientific discoveries of any given subject, the rest will be lost, what do you take and why?
>>7719052
If you take your book on astrophysics, you would notice that it's impossible for anyone on Earth to survive a collision with the sun inside a bunker.
That being said, Medicine is a given. And maybe Engineering? I don't know.
>>7719052
Playboy mag and...
Actually just go ahead and make that 2 nudie mags.
Why did non-aquatic animals evolve to not being able to drink salt water?
>All living organisms need water
>sea water is the most abundant
>Evolution
>???
>Can't drink salt water anymore
What the fuck happened?
>>7718994
>sea water is the most abundant
globally, but necessarily locally
if you live in an environment where most of the water comes from rain and rivers you drink that
>>7719006
Yeah but there are more beaches than there are rivers and lakes .So salt water should be somewhat more accessible atleast not in the mainland.
>>7719039
>atleast not in the mainland.
There are lots of creature in beaches that can drink salt water, like crabs and such.
Most land animals spent at least part of their evolutionary history inland, and thus became dependent on fresh water.
