>Durably reducing transphobia: A field experiment on door-to-door canvassing
http://science.sciencemag.org/content/352/6282/220.full
https://archive.is/7GAoL
>Abstract:
Existing research depicts intergroup prejudices as deeply ingrained, requiring intense intervention to lastingly reduce.
Here, we show that a single approximately 10-minute conversation encouraging actively taking the perspective of others can markedly reduce prejudice for at least 3 months.
We illustrate this potential with a door-to-door canvassing intervention in South Florida targeting antitransgender prejudice.
Despite declines in homophobia, transphobia remains pervasive.
For the intervention, 56 canvassers went door to door encouraging active perspective-taking with 501 voters at voters’ doorsteps.
A randomized trial found that these conversations substantially reduced transphobia, with decreases greater than Americans’ average decrease in homophobia from 1998 to 2012.
These effects persisted for 3 months, and both transgender and nontransgender canvassers were effective.
The intervention also increased support for a nondiscrimination law, even after exposing voters to counterarguments.
and what about a 10 minute talk exposing the problems, the suicide rates, the fact telling them their delusions are real doesn't "fix" anything, and the fact they want to brainwash children into their marxist cults
They should be spending more time on figuring out the reasons for transsexualism, instead of this nonsense.

Can someone demo how to find the sum to infinity of a series like this:

maybe you should, maybe you shouldn't.
How did you guys deal with realizing what all of you fags will do will not amount to anything significant in the real world? All your teenage dreams of being the Next Einstein and Feynman slowly being suffocated by reality. Falling for the STEM meme. The contradiction between your ambitions and the impossibility, what do? Pic somewhat related.

I don't know OP, but what caused your life to be such a piece of shit that you have a psychological need to try to make everyone else feel as horrible about their lives, as you so obviously do?

How difficult is it to learn trigonometry in a month? I'm considering a summer school course to do it as quickly as possible, but I'm not precisely a math whiz.

SOH CAH TOH
csc=1/sin
sec=1/cos
cot=cos/sin=csc*cos
tan=sin/cos=sin*sec
2π=360°
sin(0, 30, 45, 60, 90) = ½√(0, 1, 2, 3, 4)
cos(0, 30, 45, 60, 90) = ½√(4, 3, 2, 1, 0)
cos^2 + sin^2 = 1
There, you know all of trig.
>>7986662
How much trig?
Like just triangles, or all the way up to integration and Taylor series?
I would say that if you just want triangles, 1 week will be fine if you just put ~2-3 hrs a day.
For everything, 1 month of that study regimen will be sufficient.

why dont we use railguns to launch radioactive waste barrels to the moon?
>>7986013
Why do that? Just make a waste disposible company, make the industrial plants pay you to take their waste, dilute it into the public water supply below the levels required by the FDA, and make municipalities pay you for the waste products?
it is win-win-win for you.
>>7986013
Railguns as they currently exist are not powerful enough to do that. Also there is really no issue with storing waste besides politicians and their constituents being dumb.
>>7986013
Because then you would make future moon geologists very angry. Just think, how are they gonna do those isotopic analysis on the moon to learn more about our place in the cosmos if the moon is polluted with radioactive garbage.
Reprocessing is the way to go.
Is it possible?
