You should probably be cutting out a lot of microscopic holes for all of the bacteria if you're that stupid. See also chimerism and a bunch of other shit you're probably too dumb to know about.

sorry for a meme math thread but the one on /r9k/ is getting out of hand
i'm am not smart

four possible outcomes at first
NN
NY
YN
YY

one has to be a crit so it goes to
NY
YN
YY

so, with all the information the question provided, it's 1/3, r-right?

also does this problem have a name?
68 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>8146144
That is correct, if the problem said that the first one is a crit then it would have been 50/50. The point is that you are not forcing an attack to be a crit, you are eliminating all the cases where there are no crits

Could science solve our gun violence problems?

For example could we install high very high powered magnets in buildings that are activated only at the exact vibrational pulse of a gunshot, and thus the bullets and the guns themselves are stopped and pulled to the wall stopping the gun.

No, that's retarded. Thread over.

switzerland has tons of guns per capita, and no shootings.
america is just a poor country with people living miserably. a warzone really.
>>
America has a culture problem, not a gun one.

With magnets strong enough to stop bullets: hope you enjoy ripping everyone in half who's wearing a belt or watch. Or sitting on a steel chair. etc.

So many jabs at SpaceX with a tiny rocket.

IF this isn't overcompensating I don't know what is

so, i have been blazing a lot and thinking even more.

now i summon all the actual educated people on here, to clarify this for me once and for all.

Imagine a huge solid metal cube, wich would have enough space in itself to hold a nuclear bomb charge. it would also be thick enough, and strong enough to keep the blast of the said charge contained in itself when it goes off. if you but a cube of sugar, or something small/irrelevant in there, would it create a black hole?

Is this book considered pop-sci?
what really is pop sci
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
The actual meaning is popular science, which means it's science that is dumbed down to a level that everyone can understand and relate to. Which means it dumbs down or simply ignores the really brainy stuff that requires one to understand the details, numbers, formulas, hypothesis and so on..

I wouldn't call that pop-sci since I doubt majority of pop-sci fags would dare to hold that book.

Why does decreased temperature increase atomic synchronization in an object?

>>8150620
Because that's the definition of temperature.
>>
Less brownian motion
>>
I now absolutely nothing about physics but I'll give it a shot. Please tell me how stupid and wrong I am.

Stored energy is an measurement of potential, as in how many different things it can randomly do in the next second. As you take energy away from an atom it has less potential or less "things it can do." Eventually if you remove enough energy from an object the atoms are so limited in what options can perform that some of them start randomly doing the same thing and sync up.

So if the most likely reason that black people have dark skin, less sensitive eyes( dark brown) and often wider nostrils is because of adaptation the heat in the areas they lived( wider nostrils means more air can enter) and people with white skin son't for the opposite reason. Why is it East and south east Asians who live in their respective climates and geographic areas have evolved, on top of different skin pigmentation, slanted/almond eyes? What purposes could that feature serve to adaption. I always wondered this.
Literally not trying to create a race war or /pol/ thread( Im honestly praying they don't invade). If you have any good sources I could look into please post.
Pic somewhat related.

they fucked things that had slanted eyes.
just like white people share a common ancestor with the rhesus monkey.
>>
>>8150467
Well yes so, there is no advantage to having such eyes in any environment then? Their common ancestors just happened to mate with other primates that looked like that(for some reason)? Also, why do most East Asian have dark eyes when they're ancestors lived in cold climates mostly(reflecting their lighter pigmentation). Could this be the fact they they share common ancestors with Persians and other Middle Eastern peoples?
>>
>>8150454
>>8150507
Smaller "slanted" eyes mean you are less sensitive to sunlight glaring off fresh snow. Look at inuits, they have extremely small eyes reflecting this type of environmental adaptation.

The east Asian race as we know it would be descended from peoples who lived further north near Siberia before migrating southward.

Stuff like this and the bedroom thing strike me as just being heavily overfitted. Have they really gone through every image the system was trained on to make sure it's not just spewing out things it has seen?

I'm not convinced.
