Why when the atomic bomb explodes everything gets instantly dusty, but then later the actual shockwave from the blast sweeps everything off ?

Whats the initial wave that lifts off the dust from the ground way before the shockwave gets there and what causes it ? It almost looks like it reached there with lightspeed.

Heat.
>>
>>8158063
>It almost looks like it reached there with lightspeed.
because it did
that's the heat wave and all the other radiation

that's what sets fire to stuff after a nuclear blast

the shockwave comes after
>>
The flash from an atomic bomb delivers a lot of energy. So, shit gets lit on fire just from the amount of energy delivered by the wave of photons emitted from the reaction a rather impressive distance from the detonation.

>le smart but le lazy

When will this meme die?
>>
>>8159095
It's because public education in the United States has to cater to the lowest common denominator such that even the biggest drooler can pass. You get normal kids who aren't droolers passing classes without trying, while their mams congratulate them on their snowflakiness, so when they are eventually challenged and unable to succeed without effort, they deal with not being able to do the work by telling themselves the comforting thought that they "really are smart, just lazy".

It's a defense mechanism for animals with fragile egos. Men and Women constantly challenge themselves regarding their interest in order to gain a deeper insight and see further, or see familiar things in a different light. As soon as you say you are ''too lazy", you've lost my interest, because it's apparent that you don't have any interest in what you are talking about either.

I'm not saying you have to be industrious, I'm just saying their is no substitute for putting the time in. For instance, you can't read a book and understand math. You've actually got to do it.

The meme will die when public schools engage and challenge their students appropriately.

Turns out dark matter is simply primordial black holes that were formed at the time of big bang.

Welp, that's it folks.

Can someone please explain to me why this idiot wants to go to mars instead of making a moon base?

>Mars is 6-9 months away, if anything happens on mars you are fucked
>moon is close and can rescue get supplies and rescue parts in a short time
>Virtually no coming back from mars
>No H3 to mine
>No magnetic shielding
>No confirmed water
>Moon can be used for space port and space craft building for future studies

Why mars instead the much closer and cheaper moon?
227 posts and 17 images submitted.
>>
>>8150505
Because the moon landing was fake and they don't want to reveal the film studio on the dark side.

But seriously. It's about achievement and culture I guess.
>>
H3 mining is retarded futurist nonsense that will never be economical, even if fusion reactors became a reality today.

Getting significant amounts of water from Martian regolith is not believed to be a problem.

The notion that the moon is 'closer' to Earth, and can be used as a port in between other destinations, fails to take into account astrodynamics, in which delta-V is the main consideration.

Mars has an atmosphere (which is extremely handy for ISRU), has fairly heterogeneous regolith, and is overall the most Earth-like planet in the solar system.

>Because the moon landing was fake and they don't want to reveal the film studio on the dark side.

That doesn't even make sense. How would it expose it as fake?

Post your stats

1.head circumference with your gender

2.IQ (if officially tested) and/or your degree

While I might believe that big heads (thus big brain) doesn't imply you will automatically have high intelligence, the reverse does apply.

I have got a head circumference of 54-55cm and I am dumb.

Also people with smaller heads are more prone to Alzheimers.

I have no fucking reserve, I have not the processing power you people do.

Nothing inherently. Maybe some wacco modifies some corn so it can produce cyanide but GMOs by themselves are not bad.

Are luxury technologies making us stupider as a species?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGiQaabX3_o

This is to exclude all of the technology that allows for scientific advancement, of course.
