Who /dualmajorinmathandphysics/ here?
Do you guys have any interests in philosophy? How about Psychology and how the human brain and mind works?

How am I supposed to deal with just not being smart enough for a higher-level maths degree? I honestly worked my ass off in hs but got mediocre grades and poor entrance exam results... I'm super passionate about the subject and want to work with maths at a grad level. Is it still possible?
no you're behind think about it if you didnt jump on the math train before what makes you think you can now? unless you dedicate yourself 150%
Some insights on my future prospects and on how difficult I'll find the course would be appreciated. It's a mediocre uni and over 50% of students get a 2:2 or don't pass.

What do you mean by 'math train'?

And how come there are so many of them?
Trap porn is literally one of, if not the most popular porn out there for straight men. Is there a biological reason why men like girls with penises so much?
They say they like them despite their "flaw" but that is a lie, they like them because of their "flaw".
It's taboo. Same reason "incest" porn and butt sex are popular.

>Trap porn is literally one of, if not the most popular porn out there for straight men.
I think not.

I personally think neckbeards tend to like traps, milfs and pre-teens because there's no chance of passing on your fedord-tipping genes.
How high do you think a mountain would need to be before it's unclimbable?
(Assuming it have a similar profile to that of other 8000+ meter mountains)
>>8374640
Mountains wouldn't evolve to be that tall because there's no evolutionary benefit to it.
>>8374728
lol
>>8374640
I don't see why there should be an obvious "limit", since if the mountain is similar in profile to real ones it's not going to be prohibitively steep.
With modern technology there's not really any major issue with dropping oxygen levels or temperatures either, although you might need specialized equipment.
Without oxygen the cap is probably a thousand or at most a couple thousand meters above Everest, considering that Everest is doable without supplemental oxygen but seems to be pretty close to the line for what's physically possible for a human being.

>passed out on the ambulance with bleeding in brain
>45 mins later, gets a hole drilled in his head to drain blood and transfer him to ICU
>2 angiograms can't find any aneurysm
>no vasospasms ever happen

>has been in a coma for 2 weeks with poor neurological tests and hasn't woken up
>basically complete mismatch between his scans and his behavior
>doctors are tired of treating him and pressuring my mom to pull the plug
Is my dad fucked? Should we pull the plug? The doctors were completely wrong about 5 times and are still baffled about what happened but they have no interest in actually helping him. This is supposed to be one of the top stroke wards in the country. Does anyone know if he would be brain dead from pressure in the brain for that long but with no stroke damage? I'm at the point where I can't trust the doctors anymore.
To clarify the specific type of bleed was a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Sounds like denial geared against the doctors
>>8374460
Trust me. For the first week, I was on board with the doctors and was saying we should pull the plug well beforehand. Then they were wrong again, and again, and again.
And they're telling us different things. One doctor thinks there is a hope and says there's an opportunity to treat aggressively. Two others say he's fucked and we should pull the plug.

Going to be prescribed Olanzapine (Zyprexia) in an hour for anxiety. Can you guys tell me some stories of you or loved ones that have taken it and did it help them?
Bonus question: can I be prescribed anti-depressants whilst on these and if so which is the best med to take with it?
Britbong here, free on the NHS. :^)

OP Here, thread closed. Going to appointment now.
I have no idea. you might like to talk to your doctor. what's your dx, is it a type of anxiety disorder, trauma, etc. or anxiety secondary to other disorders, and so on? There are many types of anxiety, and zyprexa might be indicated for some of these kinds and not others.

Isn't genetic engineering the best way to treat cancer? From what I know, cancer is a bitch to treat because it varies from subject to subject, but wouldn't genetic engineering solve that problem?
>>8373848
>From what I know, cancer is a bitch to treat because it varies from subject to subject, but wouldn't genetic engineering solve that problem?
I don't see the connection.
If you want a general answer, it's NO!
If you want a more specific answer, you need a more specific question. Genetic engineering of what? And what type of cancer?
>>8373848
Yes but it's even more difficult to tackle it that way. It's like proposing a curvature engine to reach Mars.
