Climate change are real. Here are my 3 main arguments:

1. CO2 let visible light pass, and absorb/re-emit infrared. This phenomenon is known as greenhouse gas phenomenon, and experimentally observable in laboratory beyond reasonable doubt.

2. CO2 in the atmosphere is rising due to fossil fuel combustion. This is known beyond reasonable doubt from measurements of CO2 isotopes starting the 60's (fossil fuel has lighter CO2 isotopes, e.g. more share of 12CO2 per bulk among the two stable isotopes of 12C/13C). Before the 60's scientist can splice ice core and firn air record, which unlike other climate "proxy" contains an actual sample of Earth's past atmosphere.

3. Radiative imbalance on earth. Satellite that orbits the earth measures higher incoming energy compared to outgoing energy. Conservation of energy states that this imbalance of energy must go somewhere, most of which can be explained by warming of the atmosphere and the ocean heat content.

Zero, I'm kinda bored. I'm only arguing with the merit of scientific discussion and I'm not gonna argue about any particular point of policy.
>>
>>8429113
I don't think anyone credible disagrees with these three points.

The exact magnitude and scope of its impacts seems a lot muddier to me. Do you have any resources for parsing that out? As I understand there's been some difficulty in building sufficiently predictive climate models.

I have a question, Mr SHOA-msky, Sir. Yes, you see, I have this conundrum, that has been, as you say, keeping me up all night, ehehe, if you understand heheheh.

ANYWHO. the question, dear Rabbi, is that, if grammar is genetically imprinted into the human brain (as you insist it is) instead of being learned during childhood.. heehe, well then, how come there still be monkeys?

It doesn't exist, because there are differences between the races in terms of average intelligence.

This is to be expected considering that the races evolved in completely different parts of the Earth with different challenges and climates for millions of years.

Einstein became Einstein due to the opportunities and privilege life afforded him. Some girl from a shit hole no one has ever heard of will never be the next Einstein because she will never have the same access to education and knowledge that he had. Without a doubt she does deserve a proper education and a chance to attend college so she can specialize her ability but it's retarded to pretend that the world is missing out on it.

Comfy, everything is easy if you can read and reason diligently. Less work that makes you want to kill yourself than engineering but still mentally challenging. Lots of career opportunities if you network and reach out for internships. You could work in anything from software development, finance/banking, teaching, academics, study for actuarial tests, consulting in numerous fields, it goes on. Just don't be someone who only does classes and then wonders why their math degree didn't make them employable.
>>

Fun and easy. Just double major in something that can actually get you a job like CS or engineering. Or business/finance and style on the dumb frat kids

I've been trying to work something out, but my analytic result never agrees with my numerical or graphical results.

In this PDF I detail the problem and my attempted solution. Any comments welcome, especially if it helps me work out where the real problem is.

Page 5 bump.
>>

If your analytical methods are indeed flawless, I have only one guess: the mixed partials of your scalar function f are not equal at the point of differentiation.

Do you have any reason to believe those partial derivatives might not be continuous? It appears to me (looking at (9)) that your partials are continuous everywhere except at the constant vectors r and t. Do r or t happen to be critical points of your scalar function? In your calculations you assume the derivatives of f are zero. If r or t are critical points then you're computing a derivative at a point where the second derivative isn't continuous, so you can't assume symmetry of derivative-taking as you do in (6).

Other than that I'm not sure but at the very least here's a bump.

In fact, this would perhaps explain why the equation can still solve back to (0, 0) despite the solution being incorrect--your argument might only be flawed at a single point.

Let's try to initiate a book reading. This time, as suggested in that "one are you doing right now" thread, by moderating it with short rants of summary, elaborations and asking questions.

As explained in the video, the book seems approachable for a whole bunch of majors, which is why I think it makes a good candidate, and should this work out as I intent, people can go on tangents in various directions. Sorry for the possibly quite bad accent.

An edition of the book pops up if you type in the title in google. It's not the latest edition, but the chapters seem to match.
The second one chapter starts with some probability theory basics (gonna post a screenshot of the .pdf posted above in the next post). I'll continue reading and if there's interest, I will make a short rant about it maybe even tomorrow.
I'll post questions, by me and for other, or add hints at interesting stuff, if I think that's necessary. If there's eventually even a video response, some discussion of any of the topics that come up, that would be even more interesting.
