Hi /sci/,
First time poster. I'm a /g/ man normally.
There was a question in a book I was reading about how many single-lines would be needed to connect each computer in a 5 computer network to every other computer. I was wondering if there was an easy and way to express this relationship that holds true at any scale.
Here are 3 images showing my work. I'm wondering what type of math this is, and what education level it's consistent with.
>>8474856
I'm also wondering can this be proven at a large scale (eg. 9000 points) without having to draw out the network or use these formulas?

What does /sci/ think of this?

>connect to jewbook to download
I think you should take your faggotry somewhere else.
>>8474715
Fuck man, I can't read after Lemma 1. I take number theory next semester. Can you take it down and reupload in 6 months? I got you man, I will tell you if it is correct.
Every day some faggot tries to publish his "proof" and every time it's wrong.
Ok guys I need an advice.
1st year PhD student here, asymmetric organic synthesis.
My supervisor went mad, she expects me to carry out research in three big projects simultaneously. She keeps asking me everyday about the results but it is impossible to do three things at once in the lab. When I told her that it had no sense for me, she replied that I had to learn into multitasking. In my opinion it is much better to finish project A and then go to project B. She thinks it's better to do it simultaneously. Any advices?
It's your research, ultimately you decide.

A telephone makes sound travel faster than the speed of sound.
Prove me wrong.
>sound waves raveling through wires
Hope you just pretend to be retarted

Imagine what would happen if we could travel light through those things. The speed boost would allow us to see into the future!

How come there are only 3 possible explanations for abiogenesis, "Primordial Soup" "Replication First (RNA World)" and "Metabolism First" and they have all been disproved.
>>8474448
How have they been disproved? Not being deliberately obtuse, genuinely curious.
please explain how RNA world has been disproved

"Primordial Soup" -

"RNA World" - https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/a-simpler-origin-for-life/
"Metabolism First" - http://creation.com/why-the-miller-urey-research-argues-against-abiogenesis
Ignore the websites, but they have good facts.
Hi, its the GCSE brainlet from yesterday. Please can one of you help me answer this question?
Cos(angle) = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Hypotenuse(cos(angle)) = Hypotenuse(Adjacent/Hypotenuse)
Hypotenuse*cos(angle) = Adjacent
4*cos(50) = x
4 * cos50 = x

Thank you.
Any plantfags here know what this might be? Molybdenum deficiency?
>>8474224
Try putting a higher grade oil in the pot if your plants are in a very warm climate, it will help the sap flow better. Try 15w50.

any serious posters?
On which celestial body are we most likely to find life?
Or is non earth life just a big meme?

you call this life on earth? you think if aliens come here and see our memes, they're gonna stay here for a second ?

Actually I'm writing a short Fortran program for everything I have to calculate.
Hey guys, today the physics prof. asked us this question and I have no idea how to answer it.
>If the UK switched from driving on the left to driving on the right, would a day be longer or shorter in the UK?
We don't have to calculate anything, we just have to answer longer or slower with a brief explanation.
Tell him that the two events aren't related.
>>8474064
It would obviously get shorter
All these people bitching about the change will be amusing enough to shorten my days for a good while
Is that "or" inclusive or exclusive
how did you master control engineering? your own project? books? any tips?
Our automation teacher who had worked in the industry recommended Ogata's book: Modern Control Engineering.
>>8473966
And? Was it good?
>>8474004
It's alright, but kind of heavy reading (at least for me it was) and I had to look for applied (dumbed down) examples elsewhere. The book is heavily referenced so I guess that's something. You can probably find it for free to download on the Internet and see for yourself, but I don't recommend doing so because that is illegal.
>Computers are entirely made from two particles: zeros and ones.
But this isn't true at all. Absolutely incorrect.
The hardware. It affects the way how those zeros and ones are interpreted. They are interpreted *differentially* based on context. The differential interpretation is based on different properties of matter in the hardware.
It would be *impossible* to make such complicated system out from only zero and one.
Why are scientists trying to unified theories? Why can't they accept that universe could be collection of hundreds of different theories, laws, and particles?
>>8473863
No, it's the software (incidentally also 1s and 0s) that affects how they're interpreted.
Stop being a fucking pleb.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Von_Neumann_architecture
Moreover a unified theory just means that you have been able to express all of your different theories as special cases of a more general theory.
>>8473876
Okay so build me a computer without using any hardware.
>>8473863
who are you quoting?
I recorded 3 video animations for trigonometry. I was hoping you guys could check it out.
There is no talking and i use basic graphics to teach trig fast and in a fun way.
should i post in /adv/ ??

The first video has typos, for example you say "Pythagra's Theorum".
You've also completely left out the degree symbol.

I always like to encourage people to make videos like this. Keep going.
