Why did you stuggle so much with a freshman class?

Let's be honest. If you passed this class, you'd still fail everything next semester.

Also, rollin.

Lets assume that there is person that lurk 3-4h/day on porn and fap 1-2 times during this porn lurking/day.

In long run (years) is this activity going to be harmful for body and mind?

you will stop jerking off everyday around the time you turn 25 and it will happen fast and it will happen suddenly. you'll find yourself only wanting to jerk off once every three days. if that.

enjoy it while it lasts and don't worry about it too much unless you're one of those fucks that spends 12 hours a day jerking off.

How do you self-study science and mathematics without getting bored?

Am I just not meant for this?

self studying anything effectively is very difficult because it's hard to self-motivate based on interest alone, and a lot of intermediary/elementary concepts you have to learn in order to actually do science/math are very dry.

6-8 pages a day will get you through most math books in less than two months. Just start small, but consistently, on two or three books. Then at the end of two-three months you'll be ready to do it again with three or four new books. If you try to bust through 50 pages a day of course you'll get fucking bored

I'm writing a biological anthropology research paper on how language or linguistics developed/evolved among early humans. That is, I'm in need of guidance finding articles since I'm having a hard time finding any.

I know proto-language developed out of Neandertals need to communicate amongst each other -- hunting, foraging, toolmaking, etc. It was mainly symbolism and rare vocalization.

General human origins thread, too.

I don't know anything about this but I remember an anecdote Herodotus' Histories where Pharaoh Psamtik I carried out an experiment where he sent a newborn to be raised by a deaf-mute to see if he would develop language on his own, and the kid would make a sound when he was hungry that resembled the Phrygian word for 'bread,' which led Psamtik to conclude that the Phrygian language was the original proto-language. Maybe you can put that in the introduction or background sections to seem cultured and knowledgeable.

No-one knows.

You don't know this, no-one knows this. Language probably predates our subspecies, like the mastery of fire does.

ezpz desu. There's only a few possible ways to fill in each row and the division signs make it especially easy when you know the other side has to add up to a whole number.

Walking home from school about a year ago, I passed by these weird bones next to the road. It's a busy main road, but not many people walk it. I thought at first they were animal bones, and ignored it. A couple months later I pass by again. Bones are still there. This time, a friend is with me, And suggests i take a picture. Forgot about it until I was scrolling through my old photos, trying to find something. I compared them to deer and dog bones today, neither really matched up...are they human?

Usually, the dead animals are taken care of pretty quick. Human or not, doesn't explain why something that big was never picked up.

Came across this article on Futurism:

https://futurism.com/theory-challenging-einsteins-physics-can-soon-be-tested/

Something about this seems really fucking obvious to me. They're complaining about the speed of light being variable, but the constant value has always been the speed of light IN A VACUUM and they make no mention of that here.

There have been many experiments where scientists have slowed light down by passing it through various mediums. They're talking about light being slower just after the Big Bang, but with so much dense matter existing, surely it wouldn't have been travelling through a pure vacuum?

On top of that, we know that light is affected by gravity, given the immense gravitational forces of the Big Bang, couldn't that have simply slowed light down?

Am I missing something here? Can someone enlighten me?

How do we go about to keep the Sun permanently shining?
In a financially responsible manner of course.

I can't endure together such a miserable life and early nightfalls.

I need to look outside and feel like there's still time to fix my life.

I know that this question has only a proper approach: from neurosciences. Psychology will always have a problematic approach to this question due to his 'only empirical' nature. I don`t even consider phenomenology nor psychoanalysis if we are regarding the question scientifically.

But, I think 'abstract' thinking is not a specific mental process per se.

I explain myself: I believe this process is the sum of other two more 'mundane' processes: memory and fantasy.

I mean by fantasy the capacity to take some elements from memory and organize them in different ways that how we have seen them.

For instance, I can imagine an animal with dog head and human body.

Or I can imagine that yesterday, instead of be ashamed of talking to that girl, I talked to her and got married.

By the same way, I can imagine a conversation that never happened. Or if I have three apples and eat one, I get two. And I can imagine that it will be the same if I consider pears, cakes or whatever.

May that be the base of mathematical, logical or discursive thinking?

And, if we consider language a main part of abstract thinking, is because of our social nature and the fact that we usually get and transmit and prove new knowledge by language.

Can have an ape 'abstract thinking'? Kind of.

Well, the real question is, do you know any papers that approaches to this question under this perspective? Or am I autistic?

Jokes aside, you use "fantasy" as if it's a standalone cognac process akin to memory.

It isn't. Reformulate your hypothesis and try again.

EE for example is quite active especially if you're willing to take a more applied physics approach. Semiconductors, sensors, etc.
