Every single time I look at a chegg link I laugh at the fact that this fat Arab is the most popular tutor on the site.
He blows everyone out of the fucking water. He out ranks them by the thousands, and its just so fucking funny.
General shit thread please. I haven't seen one in like two years.

do you think Emily S. is a real person? she's so cute
How much does it cost per hour to talk to a tutor?
>>8537680
Forget about her, its all about Anastasia.
How can one prove this isn't possible?
>tfw not a brainlet

Saw this on /b/. Posting the simplest answer.
>semester is over
>no classes to keep me occupied for a WHOLE MONTH
how do you cope, bros?
Compile notes for future reference. Review/get ahead with Khan academy. Hookers and blow.

I'm using the time to catch up on my reading.
Undergraduate research.
Helium tank straight to your mouth, keep until you pass out, you'll wake up with a lower voic e
check /b/ for their crystal forming recipes
Produce ethanol via fermentation and then distill it / dry it
What would a million ppm imply?
>>8540123
That the volume is completely made out of the thing you measured as being a million ppm.
For example OP is a million ppm of faggotry.
>>8540123
Anything is a million ppm of itself
Really makes you think...
>>8540503
Wow, just like everything is base 10 in base itself. I wonder if that's connected...
I've heard that very mathematically inclined people love Bach's work in particular. Is this true? Can anyone here describe why his work is so intriguing?

It's a meme.
Like the Euler equation.
What is the IQ of "science" itself? As in, if science were a conscious force directing and acting on, and reacting to things in the universe, what IQ would it have?
infinity
I'm done with this board
They say a group is only as smart as it's dumbest member, so the IQ of science is probably in the low 70s or high 60s.
Hey guys, i'm trying to get smarter.
Do i automatically get smarter by browsing this board?
Been a /fit/ meat head for some time now.
>i just wanna go to uni even though im 3 years behind because i didnt know what i wanted to do with my life so now im trying my hardest to get good enough at math to study pharmacology
>tfw danish so uni is free
I just wanna be one of you guys..
Pick a book on a topic that interests you. Read the whole thing. Pick another book. Read that one. Continue. That's basically it. Go look at the wiki to find good ones.
You don't get automatically smarter doing anything passively. You have to actively work for it.

The label "meat head" really does suit you
>science man tells me like charges (in fermions) repel each others
>science man tells me electron has a probability density
>science man tells me the electron is in multiple places at once
So why doesn't it repel itself then, mister intelligent man?
>>8539772
>repel everyone, even yourself
>>8539772
Third one it's wrong. Next.
>>8539772
It does. Why do you think it never stops moving?
Can all these nootropic pills and powders really enhance focus and clarity like they say, or are they just a meme?
Most don't work (placebo) or have very negligible effects. The chemicals with potent effects have long term negative impact on your mind and body. Chemical enhancement without the discipline to use it will not improve your chances of success.
If you want more information on cognitive enhancement, read published, peer-reviewed research papers/clinical research, not some flunky sales-people pitch promising the new wonder drug for peak performance.
>>8539126
One word: amphetamines
>>8539126
Nootropics are actually dangerous in certain scenarios (not uncommon ones).
However it's not generally documented because they're given to old dying fucks, and you can't tell if it's Alzheimer's worsening or anything else.
I looked into doing nootropics myself few years ago. Looking back I can tell that they wouldn't solve anything, because my lack of concentration was the result of other problems (depression, lack of exercise and bad diet).
My suggestion is to only use Nootropics if you have prooven, physical brain damage. Otherwise start eating well, take some vitamin B's and Ω-3s, and do some cardio.
Hi, i want to acquire more mathematical knowledge than the one that is teached in universities (Engineering). Are there any books to achieve this end? specially those centered in calculus, complex calculus and series. what are the best peer reviewed magazines or journals in mathematics that contain introduction to interesting areas?
thanks
>>8538921
>teached

Journals dont work as a textbook.
Visit the wiki

So how do they work?!
could I just one day have brain surgery and have a friends, a girlfriend, a decent job, and a body that isn't a cage the next?
Yes. It is called lobotomy.

>could I just one day have brain surgery and have a friends, a girlfriend, a decent job, and a body that isn't a cage the next?
Why can't you have them?

No, you twat.
Quick probability question for you math braniacs-you have 3 dice, given that they are all different, what is the probability of getting a six?
Stat101 take-home final detected
>>8538325
all dice have a six
1/(6^3)
I failed Pre-Calculus 1 with a 1.3 GPA and had to retake the class. I was so nervous at the possibility of failing twice/ getting below the required pre-requisite of 75% (2.0) in the class and I end up passing with an 85% (3.0)! This may have not been a big deal for others, but it was a big milestone for me since i struggled the first time around. #EngineerGoals
you got 85% and only received a 3.0?
What's considered a failing mark then?

Precalc is basically a course to weed out people who are lazy or have an IQ below 105 so that enough spots in Calc I are open for people ""smart"" enough for it.

Why would anyone believe something this stupid is true?
>>8537734
People generally don't believe that P=NP, the problem is that no one has thus far been able to formulate a solid proof that P!=NP
>>8537734
Because every time we though a complexity class doesn't equal another without proof, we've been wrong.
L=NL=P=NP
>>8537734
The world sure sucks when there are people as dumb as Donald Knuth living in it, huh?
