Given their reputation for being very intelligent and their large populations, Asians should be responsible for more developments. It seems that most math proofs, tech innovations, discoveries, philosophy, art, etc. come courtesy of Europeans and Americans.

Do Asians just copy? Is their whole thought process based on practice and mastery? Many a great Asian musicians have I seen, but no great Asian compositions.

As usual, only the cream of the crop innovate. What you have is the chinese culture, which takes kids that otherwise would have grown up to be average, and makes them into problem solving machines. Ancient china was responsible for many engineering marvels. If you want to talk about modern asia, you make some bizarre analogy to asian compositions. If you are talking about classical, thats not even asian music, so thats a horrible example

They are
The 1st genners are autisitc as fucking, usually pushed by their parents into med, dental, pharm and sometimes engineering.
They suck shit at medicine especially because it's very hard for them to be empathetic, also it's very hard for them to work out of the box and around problems.
2nd genners and on don't give a fuck about education usually, so they go to college and party for 4 years and end up working in fashion or marketing or other stupid millennial jobs.
Eventually they'll be reduced to welfare queens like most other immigrant populations
>>
>>8561669
Sometimes they copy, sometimes not

See Japan's Physics programs at University of Tokyo, they're pretty fucking good and also there are many Japanese mathematicians that were good as well
But yes, as majority, asians do copy but only a few innovate, this is reversed with whites since most like to innovate than copy

That is not a question that can be easily answered.

First analysis, then number theory... NOW ALGEBRA.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z9XL4B0ROk

Anyone taking an algebra course next semester DROP IT THE FUCK DOWN. Wildberger has you. You won't need the inferior algebra built on top of the already debunked "foundation" that we call "set theory".

This is a thread specifically for discussing the newest and WILDEST addition to Wild Theory.

I'm a math major who wants to do a bit of java in free time. Any book recommendation? I already finished course in C.

If possible, something written as calculus books with lots of examples and exercises. Im not looking for some fast forward mega fast learning tier. I would like words of experts. Pic unrelated. Also, not looking for online courses.

Thanks :)

take a good online course. if you already know a procedural language, learning another should be easy, except for the OOP part.

learning languages really isn't important, and it isn't hard. computing is much more than learning language, just like writing is much more than knowing a lot of languages

I'm really not interested in online courses, they go too fast trough things and examples are often to simple without any theoretical background. I prefer reading stuff while in bad, and when i get a hold of concept, I start programming.

read the soul hypothesis book

it's an unsolvable quandry because it doesn't make sense if you analyze the situation entirely.

formulations of a mathematical solution to consciousness posit that everything must be aware to some degree

>muh laws of physics

How do scientists know that the laws of physics are not different in certain parts of the universe? Like places where the memedrive and FTL travel is possible?
24 posts and 2 images submitted.

You don't know that for sure, but there is literally 0 reasons to assume the contrary, and several reasons to assume it is consistent, in particular because most long range observations have been consistent with at least relativity.

So I'm curious to know; if we have full undamaged dna from subfossils then what is stopping us from finding their closest relatives and tinkering with their DNA to look exactly like that of the extinct animal and producing offspring with it?

What are the limitations that exist? Specifically non-moral issues and limits?

Or I guess to be more specific.

There is a genus that has a species that has evolved specifically to do ____ how difficult would it be to get a same genus species altered genetically to have a characteristic and trait that allows an analog species to be developed.

Creating something new like the old but not trying to replicate the old you know?
>>
>>8561613
Clones tend to have serious health problems early in life, and I don't think a clone has ever successfully reproduced.
>>
>>8561630
Well it wouldn't be a clone if it only "took" certain characteristics yeah?
>>8561628
Oops. Replace genus with family and species with genus.

Ok guys, how do I get REALLY god at factoring shit? I know it might sound silly and basic talking about factoring but I'm studying for a test that involves IMO level factoring questions and I can't find any resource on that level, everytime I look for factoring techniques on google I get to special products for binomials, some basic techniques for single-variable plynomials etc and it isn't enough. Please give me some resources on neat factoring techniques for expressions (not necessarily polynomials) on an n number of variables.

>>8561038
Man, factoring is EASY!

It really only is the business of buying invoices for a price lower than what it is worth, traditionally because you take some interest as your clients may take months to actually receive capital, and then when your client actually gets paid and he then pays you back then you basically make the difference.

It is really easy, all you need is a large pool of money so that you can be able to pay for big invoices as that is the only kind of investing that will really keep you afloat. So my best advice to get good at it is to get some really nice investors, like find a wealthy family and tell them to invest in your factoring company so that you can use their surplus to money to make even more money.

> factoring techniques

There is just one technique really. Giving money, charging interest (look up interest over time formulas), then get paid and then repeat.

I don't think we're referring to the same type of "factoring" here. Im talking about pic related. Transforming big expressions into products of small terms. Sorry if that's not the right word to use, I'm not a native English speaker

Because "nothing" can't exist by definition, it is the 'non-existence of everything'. Nothing is logically impossible
