Hello! I have been doing some research into the phenomenon of "doubles" and I have found something quite astounding! Take the post "@4235266" for instance.. this is our traditional model of the "double." HOWEVER, I am proposing today that these are in fact not doubles, but SINGLE doubles. TRUE doubles require two sets of repeating consecutive digits, or the DOUBLE DOUBLE, if you will.

A recent example of this phenomena would be post "@4435266".. as you can see, the digit itself is prefaced with beautiful recurring quadelas, and ending with the magnificent (and my favorite) hexeltas. Some might question this model of dubbing, stating that there are in fact still singles, and there is also in fact a SINGLE TRUE DOUBLE however this is where things get real juicy boys..

Here I will present the PRISTINE DOUBLE.
Examples: post "@112233", post "@224488", post "@995533"

Aren't they beautiful?

Sure, the argument could continue -- one might state that this is in fact still just a singular PRISTINE DOUBLE -- and they would be right. However, everything in life is singular, we all live in the moment, this moment is singular and nothing doubular about it will ever be. That's why these numerals are so special and why the true essence of the sport must be kept in PRISTINE (winks) condition.

For clarity, have this list of every PRISTINE DOUBLE up to 110011

11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99, 1100, 1122, 1133, 1144, 1155, 1166, 1177, 1188, 1199, 2200, 2211, 2233, 2244, 2255, 2266, 2277, 2288, 2299, 3300, 3311, 3322, 3344, 3355, 3366, 3377, 3388, 3399, 4400, 4411, 4422, 4433, 4455, 4466, 4477, 4488, 4499, 5500, 5511, 5522, 5533, 5544, 5566, 5577, 5588, 5599, 6600, 6611, 6622, 6633, 6644, 6655, 6677, 6688, 6699, 7700, 7711, 7722, 7733, 7744, 7755, 7766, 7788, 7799, 8800, 8811, 8822, 8833, 8844, 8855, 8866, 8877, 8899, 9900, 9911, 9922, 9933, 9944, 9955, 9966, 9977, 9988, 110011

Hopefully this clears up any questions about your "doubles."

Good luck on your future GETs!

Hello [s4s], I noticed that while this is a nice board, there isn't really a lot of learning that goes on here, so I am going to start a semi-regular educational hour where we can talk about something smart and interesting.

Today we are going to talk about ancient Sumer! Sumer was the first ancient civilization that did lots of stuff over 6,000 years ago around where Iraq is. There were a bunch of Sumerians in Sumer, and they were brown and made pots and wrote stuff in Cuneiform (basically, their alphabet LOL) on clay tablets and other things they could get their lil hands on.

They had bomb-ass music, worshiped some funky gods, and made a lot of stuff out of clay. Basically, they were just like you and me!

Attached is a tablet with some of their memes on it. Pretty dank, don't you think?

Anyway, that about does it for today's [s4s] Educational Hour! See you tomorrow for more neat stuff!

oh I forgot about the question: What do YOU think about Sumer? Are Sumerians very important, or maybe not THAT important? What would you like to learn about tomorrow?

Hello friends.
I would like to address a serious issue.
I see people online mistakenly calling duck tape, 'duct tape'. I was recently 'corrected' by an ignorant person for my correct usage of the term duck tape.

'Duct tape' sounds like a Babelfish type machine-translation problem: idioms should not be snipped up and translated word-for-word: ruban adhésif en toile ("sticky canvas tape") (note space) is what French people call a product which many English speakers call "duct tape". A variation is ruban entoilé - note acute accent and the fact that entoilé is an adjective, not a noun and that it's un ruban (masculine gender). A further linguistic pitfall is that apparently the sticky stuff was originally "duck tape" - the original 1942 Johnson & Johnson product was made from "duck" cloth (what non-textile folk call 'canvas') and rubber adhesive. Somehow by a kind of Chinese whisper effect over the years "duck" morphed into "duct". I guess the initial 't' of 'tape' kind of duplicated itself backwards and stuck itself (!) onto the end of 'duck'. This can happen if you say it quickly enough repeatedly. Ruban means tape or ribbon but just because of that we should not suppose "en toile" means "duct" (or duck!). The 'duct' name leads many people to imagine that it's good for repairing... ducts. The prestigious Lawrence Livermore Laboratory found that 'duct tape' was about the worst thing you can use for repairing or supporting HVAC ducts. By the way the British "gaffer tape" is different.

why the fuck does this fantastic kekin' meme not have a page on our beloved website dankmaymays.com? Pardon my Icelandic but I think this meme has engraved itself well within s4s lore to be granted a page on dankmaymays.com aka the meme hall of fame. If there can be a Food Gore! page then I believe there should be a bananabird page too.
