I have pectus excavatu (sunken chest), and this summer I have been to the beach about 7 times. I would have gone more but busy with work and my other two friends have weird work schedules.

Anyways, long story short, no one cared. Sure I might have gotten a few stares, but if you ignore them (not really hard just dont look at them), you can have a nice time.
